The embassy in Manila is slower than many, to expect only 3 months might be a bit optimistic, currently it seems to be taking 3 to 5 months there..
Only a guess but I would guess you'll probably have to wait somewhere in the neighborhood of 9 months. (if you filed at California,Texas or Nebraska)
Good luck

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresFiance Birth Certificate

My fiance is having trouble getting a copy of her birth certificate and may take her up to 2 months to get. Do we need it to file I-129 or is it needed when the packet goes to the consolate in Manila? Thanks in advance!!

I think the I-129F requires a passport or BC, so you are going to need at least one of those. Since she will need a BC to get a passport anyway if she doesn't have one, you're kind of screwed until you get the BC.

I suggest getting everything else ready now. Then when she gets the BC you are ready to roll!

There is no requirement for the beneficiaries passport or birth certificate when filing the I-129F however both will be needed at the consular interview in Manila. The BC must be a NSO copy on NSO security paper. it can be ordered online at:

https://www.ecensus....re/frmIndex.asp

Also you can go to the embassy in Manila's website and download the contents of package 3 to learn more of whats involved. ( I cant find the link directly to the download but the information is here somewhere)

good luck

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAny approvals with July NOA1 Date

If you would read a bit more carefully you would see that 8/5/06 is when I got it from the mailbox.
they took delivery of my petition on 7/19/06 but the RECEIVED date is 7/27/06 and the NOA1 date is 7/28/06.

If they took delivery of your petition on 7/19/06--I assume at TSC--then CSC took delivery of transfer on 7/27/06. They really should give you a date of 7/19/06 as your NOA1 date--to be fair--but if your receive date says 7/27/06, then so be it. You are getting screwed by TSC transfer over to CSC.

No matter what, your NOA1 date is NOT 8/5/06. You're part of the July pack.

Reporting when you receive your NOA1 in your mailbox is NOT helpful and misleading for statistical purposes. You should be reporting the actual RECEIVED/NOTICE DATE on the NOA1, if you want to disclose your info.

I prefer NOT to mislead people by giving them false hope and setting up false expectations. When you tell people there's been 2 or 3 or 4 approvals in July, it will setup expectations for other new members. They'll think that 2 months is the proper timeframe for CSC approvals.

So yes, I am vigilant about correcting bogus info on here.

I never reported my NOA1 date as 8/05/06 Check my timeline Mr Vigilant
AlanlvsjudyNot TellingPhilippines2006-09-13 19:45:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAny approvals with July NOA1 Date

What does your NOA1 actually say as your REDEIVED DATE? and NOTICE DATE?

Does it say 8/5/06 or 7/13/06.

You best heed Ben's advise yourself. I bet the RECEIVE date on your NOA1 is NOT 8/5/06.

So no, you're still wrong. That person's RECEIVE date is 6/21/06 so her/her REAL NOA1 date is in June, not July.

mrc, I'm not suggesting the date you post your petition in the mail as your NOA1 date, but the date the service centers receive your petition is considered the NOA1 date. As you sent yours on 6/30, I would not consider that date to be your NOA1 date, but your NOA1 should have a RECEIVED DATE, and that is your true NOA1 date. That is the date they sort by when choosing which petition to adjudicate next.

From CSC itself:

http://www.uscis.gov...nal/index.htm#E

Applications are stamped with the time and date of physical receipt, not the time and date they are actually opened.

If you would read a bit more carefully you would see that 8/5/06 is when I got it from the mailbox.
they took delivery of my petition on 7/19/06 but the RECEIVED date is 7/27/06 and the NOA1 date is 7/28/06.

So NO, YOU are still wrong there has been at least one approval, why do you persist in stealing hope from these people?
Being wrong does not make a person foolish, being wrong and trying to convince everyone else they are instead...now thats another story.

I am just wondering if anyone has gotten lucky and was approved with a July NOA1 Date ?????????????? I know there has been a whirlwind blowing from CSC

No, there hasn't been any July approvals from CSC.

At very least there are two, Rachel & Sammy from Gary's list NOA1 July 3, and the one in this recent post;
http://www.visajourn...showtopic=31746

Yes, and if you did further investigation, you'd know that Rachel & Sammy's timeline is way off--either due to manual entry error or HUGE delay in CSC. Click on their ACTUAL time to see what the true dates are:

http://www.visajourn...le.php?id=25027

I-129F Sent : 2006-03-29
I-129F NOA1 : 2006-07-03

They submitted their I-129F 3/29/06 then supposedly received their NOA1 7/3/06.

I would suggest doing real research before speading mis-information.

My suspicions is all putative approvals with a NOA1 date of July are quite suspect. Probably user entry errors.

The poster you reference to in the above link also has a different true dates:

2006 JUN 21 I-129F received in TSC (xferred right away to CSC)
2006 JUL 11 check cashed
2006 JUL 13 NOA1
2006 SEP 12 NOA2 got the email!!!!!! WOOOOOOHOOOOOOO

It was received by TSC on 6/21/06. So they really have a real effective NOA1 of 6/22/06, not a JULY NOA1 date.

They got ther NOA1 on July 13 so they have a REAL EFFECTIVE NOA1 of July 13
TSC got mine on July 19 does that mean I have a "real effective" NOA1 of July 19?? NO!

I got the # of the back of my cashed check from the Vermont service center and logged on to the case status web site and signed up for e-mail notifications. Just wanted to ask if after signing up I should receive any e-mail verifying that I have been signed up. I have not gotten any touch e-mails yet which I don't necessarily expect and no other evidence that the process worked. I'm not the most computer savvy guy in the world and don't have 100% confidence I did this right. Does any body know if I should have received a e-mail saying I was entered in the system?

Thanks

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresRFE Question...

Howdy,

I just got a strange RFE. Which seems to be the norm as of late. CSC touched our case and sent the RFE email. I just recieved the "RFE" yellow envolope, but the only thing in it is my Original Birth Certificate that I sent to them when filling our case. There is no letter stating what evidence they want. Just my returned Birth Cert. So should I copy my passport, copy my Birth Certificate and send those back in as RFE evidence? Very confusing.

Thanks!
I appreciate the help!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI realize it's still Monday but......

I dont think that the results we see is unrealistic expectations. Its not just someones hope....duh

It IS a result.

That would only show that the case are treated separately, because they ARE different...

It IS 2 different forms.

I totally understand that people are fed up with the waiting, but doesnt mean that they can close their eyes on results that they dont want to see. Its there, no matter what you want to believe.

I'm a little confused by your post - have their recently been early August filers who have been approved from CSC? If so, this is definitely extremely unusual. Because this is not the norm, it just isn't wise for people to expect approvals in 6 weeks. This conclusion is based on the facts of what has transpired over the past six months. True, there are two separate forms. But that doesn't mean there are two separate groups within CSC handling them. In the end, my point was that the facts show that 6 week approvals are few and far between. Therefore, it would make sense to not plan on one. Pray/hope/wish/dream - sure. Again, it's extremely unlikely so if you plan on 3-5 months and it comes a lot sooner, won't that be nice?

Kitkat, did you sleep through last week? there are a bunch of early august NOA1s that have already been approved...and to think I rushed to get mine out in July...

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedureshow we can check our case status by CSB number

CSB is the code assigned to petitions bound for Casablanca. Once your case leaves the NVC, you can no longer track it online at the USCIS site. If you want to inquire about your case at Casablanca, you can email them at nivcasablanca@state.gov. However, they're not very good about responding to emails, at least in my experience.

Again, I don't even know how to tell you how much I appreciate the gracious love, care, support, and encouragement you guys provide me. I literally don't know what I'd do without you.

For those of you who pray as I do, could you please put in a couple of extra prayers for my conversation with Laurent when he calls back later today. He has been suffering from some pretty low morale. And on top of the depression, he fell about ten days ago and broke his left wrist and dislocated a finger on his right hand...So he's now dealing with some pretty incapacitating physical woes, as well. I was so happy to be able to give him some news last night that pulled him up out of his blues and gave him happiness and hope. Now, I don't want to crush his spirit. Please pray that God would really be with him in receiving news of the mistake so that he could accept it without his morale plummetting again. Please pray that he would be given hope and vision. Thank you so much...I know I can count on you guys...That means the world to me...

Shucks KL if youre worried about his morale, just dont tell him and let him think the next phase is dragging...whats one wait from another?...But I know you will. Try not to sweat it. Everything happens for a reason. - Al

I'm curious what they might need also since I'm worried I might get another one.

They've had my IMBRA RFE longer than 2 months and I'm almost to 7 months if it makes you feel any better!

Hope you hear something before or while you are visiting. I just got back yesterday from Philippines but couldn't give my fiance any good news while there. It was so hard leaving!! with no approval still!

Based on your filing date I would guess the standard IMBRA RFE but let us know when you get it.
