No, it's our wish that we obtain a 29 Sep 06 interivew date. A few weeks back, I requested for them to open a provisional file for us and I'm hoping it was granted. Yes, I know it's a shot in the dark, but I had to put it out there. There is no miracle without faith. I'll find out the actual date in a few hours, if the date has been set already Thats cool...My fiancee lives in Manila and I was hoping you got an interview so quickly...Id be interested to hear about it when the date is set! I have seen the form on my trip, but US Citizens are not required to fill it out. It's a simple form, but, like most of us, I like to know all there is to know without uncertainty. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	usps or courier?	Exactly how you send it is really immaterial. However always send it signature required. In spite of what everyone tells you. that is the only way that you can track it and only way you can prove it was delivered where you want it delivered. Personal check is best as you can also use that to track your petition if you dont receive NOA1 for period of time. They write your case number on the check prior to cashing it. If you send it priority mail you can track it regardless of you requesting return receipt (signature) or not if it arrives at the PO AFTER they pick up the mail it will be delivered the next day if you require a signature, but if you do not require a signature it goes straight into their box that day. Getting that extra day or two really is NOT going to speed up the process. Save yourself the cash as this process is already expensive enough. LS Maybe, Maybe not...another member mailed hers the same day as me but hers was delivered the day before (my signature requirement) she got her NOA1 3 days later, I got mine 17! days later, seems to me they are sending them on to CSC in groups...luck of the draw I say... Moz, I sent mine USPS overnight, certified, return receipt...but if I had it to do over I would forego the option for return receipt because since they actually have to sign for it, it was the NEXT day before it was actually delivered, the signature cost me a day...you can still track it if its priority mail and they'll tell you when it was delivered, the signature was useless... I notice on some timelines NOA1s are received within about 2 weeks. Can anyone give me any advice on whether we should have received it by now and if so is there anything we should do? I submitted my Papers same day as you, I got mine saturday, but my friend who also submitted on the same day has not received his yet, It took my paket 10 days to get transferred to CSC from TSC and then another day before my NOA1 was generated and mailed, sometimes it takes as long as 30 days. I think You mean the BCIS website. I thought the acronym for the U.S. Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services was USCIS. I'm quite sure you are correct on that matter, However since its a US govt site the US would be redundant, If you bookmark the site and let it name itself you will see BCIS. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	NOA1	Lawyers called to tell me that VSC confirmed my case, issued a receipt number and I have checked my case status online. Finally, a small step completed and underway! This makes my life a little easier to deal with!! Thanks for all the help and pestering questions from me lately. Now I get to join the list waiting for NOA2. We received NOA1 from Vermont also!!! So, if I understand right - Notice date in I-797C is this NOA1 date Receipt number is this case number, so i can see updates.., but its not alien registration number yet? Are we assured from IBMRA now? Joined in waiting NOA2 too. This site is great, much useful info here I AM SO EXCITED!!! He needs to access the file directly on the USCIS web site and fill it out online. when he is done there it will printout all four copies. But we are waiting the NOA 2. Did you register for case updates on line and give them your email address? If so, they usually send an email about the transfer and update your case status with the transfer. Or your NOA1 might have come directly from CSC - did you check the address on it?
