K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Firing our lawyer	We have had our share of lawyer problems. They delayed things for about a month and we put a lot of time into following up on our petition, NOA1 etc. Since my SO has an extremely busy work schedule we decided to get a lawyer involved, even though I wish we hadn't. Guess you're always smarter after you've made a mistake. We chose our lawyer based on his reputation was is extremely good. Apparently, however, they had one of the slowest and most unorganized paralegals assigned to our case. We are planning to schedule an appointment with our lawyer directly for when I go to the US next month. We've decided to make a final decision after our/my visa is approved. I think that only petitions that fail to prove bona fide relationships between the petitioner and the beneficiary are getting denied. You will be ok . This process is all about patience.
