US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Police Clearance in Germnay	Hi there! I just had to request my German police certificate as well. This is the form that needs to be completed. http://www.bundesjus...rag_deu_pdf.pdf The form / the applicant's signature needs to be confirmed by a notary public. Then it needs to be sent to this address along with a notarized copy of the applicant's passport. I added a cover letter as well. You have to enclose as well a copy of the wire transfer as proof that you paid the fee. I would assume that if the applicant is not a German Citizen it could be submitted as well to the embassy, but have that verfied by the embassy first. Good luck!!! The consular officer might get suspicious that you're trying to cover up something when bringing so much stuff along. I put in my work address. No problems with that whatsoever. As for Question 14. Are there any relatives of the USC you could be staying with once you move back to the US? If so, I'd put that address. Alternatively, I would assume that attaching an explanation about your situation would be fine. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Fiance/Sponsor NOT allowed at interview?!?!!?	Every embassy is different. You're still in the early stages of the process. I would call the US embassy in Georgia once they have received the approved application from the NVC. If you are planning to go to Georgia anyway once the interview is scheduled, you're fiance can take you're passport with him to the interview to show that you're there. I wouldn't worry to much about attending the interview. From what I've read on VJ, the majority of petitioners do not attend their SO's interview. You'll be fine either way! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!	I can fully relate to your frustration. We decided to hire a lawyer since my fiance has an extremely busy work schedule and we wanted to make sure we are not missing anything. The lawyer we chose has an excellent reputation. Just like yours, unfortunately, his support staff is a disaster. It took over a week until we got the actual Representation Letter and things have moved at a snail's pace ever since. However, the paralegal assigned to our case seems to be doing a good job, just looks like they dump everything on her so she tends to be a bit slow. If our circumstances were different, i.e. my fiance had a less busy work schedule and if I hadn't just moved a short while ago and still trying to sort out things (long story), I would not have agreed to hire a lawyer. They seem to be slowing down the process rather than speeding it up. Lesson learned, I guess. Try not to get too frustrated (easier said than done, I know). Hopefully you'll get the approval soon. Tell us about it. :)	I think the uncertainty of when this whole process will be over is the worst part of it. You just can't do any proper planning. We all knew that it wouldn't be easy, or fast for that matter. I truly believe that these rough times will make the relationship stronger. Like a previous post said, the answer to this question can vary on a daily basis. We all have good days when we think positive , i.e. how far we've come rather than how far we still have to go, and then there are the bad days when you just want to scream, stay in bed,and pull the blanket over your head and hope to wake up once all this is over. The bottom line is, eventually we will be together with our SOs in the end. Guess that's the best motivation there is. We didn't want to get married and then be apart going through the K3 process. Getting married in the US while I'm there under the VWP program was not an option for us either since we believe in doing things the legal way. 2. My fiance has his own business and stronger family/social ties compared to me. That's why it was clear for us that we would live in the US rather than him packing up and live in some other country (i've been relocating lots due to my job over the past years, so I never really settled anywhere).
