I received my notice of approval last OCT. but no packet 3 yet. Been given my MNL number by email sent manila my DS 230 & DS 2001 at IVManilaAttachments@state.gov Don't know if thy received the forms for i can schedule my interview. been trying to email Manila embassy but no response. do i need to wait for my packet 3 before i can schedule my interview? What do you guys think i should do? I am applying for a IR-1 visa

I am CR-1/IR-1 they dont schedule the interview for you. once you get MNL number you need to send in your DS forms. i will post my emails form IV Manila.hope this helps. packet 3 i did not get so i just got the forms off the internet filled them out sent them by email. once they download them, you will be able to schedule a interview. i just did this last week and just scheduled my interview online. waiting for the medical and interview. 2 emails


1) We received the I-130 visa petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services office at Embassy Manila on November 27, 2012, and sent the applicant an Instruction Package for Immigrant Visa Applicants Formerly Packet 3).

The Packet 3 includes a Biographic Data Form (DS-230I), which the applicant should complete and return to the Immigrant Visa Unit of the Embassy immediately. When the applicant has all the required documents, she should complete the information on the Notification of Applicant Readiness Form (DS-2001), sign it, and return it to the Embassy's Immigrant Visa Unit immediately. This notifies the Embassy that the applicant is prepared for the immigrant visa interview.

The applicant may also download the Biographic Data Form or Application For
Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration (Form DS-230I) from our website at http://travel.state....orms_1342.html.

Attached is a scanned copy of Form DS-2001.

The documentation may be sent to the Embassy's Immigrant Visa Branch (Attn: Operations Unit) by fax at (632)301-2037 or 301-2591, or as a scanned email attachment at IVManilaAttachments@state.gov with the applicant?s complete name, case number, and current contact information clearly indicated.

Embassy Manila no longer sends Appointment Letters (Packet 4). Once we receive the DS-230I and DS-2001, we will send the applicant instructions on how to schedule a visa interview at the Embassy.

The Visa Information and Appointment Service is open Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Manila time) except on Philippine and U.S. holidays. Callers in the U.S. should call (214) 571-1600 between 8:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. (Eastern Standard Time).

Callers should have the applicant?s case number, passport number, and passport expiry date ready when requesting a visa appointment.

The applicant should follow all interview preparation instructions for immigrant visa applicants located on the Embassy?s website at http://manila.usemba.../wwwh3238.html. The instructions contained at the website will provide the applicant the required documentation and procedures to follow prior to the interview date.

Applicants are advised to have their medical examinations done at St. Luke?s Extension Clinic in Manila at least one week before their visa interview appointment at the U.S. Embassy. Applicants are encouraged to register online at the St. Luke?s website: www.slec.ph prior to their medical exam.

The applicant should compile all the required documents and complete the medical examination before the visa interview (when scheduled). Please note that the medical examination may take more than one day to complete.

You can send manila a email at "Manila IV Correspondence Unit" <IVManilaReplies@state.gov to find out your case no. once you receive it, send in DS 230 & DS 2001 forms after they updated your records you will be able to schedule for a interview at http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ . Once you receive your interview email copy it for your medical interview.

We just got done with our visa interview and passed...... We did St Luke's Monday and Tuesday visa interview on Thursday for those on a budget all St Luke's needs is a day to get your info. to the embassy. if you don't pass your medical you can cancel your visa interview. :)

I filed My I-130 in manila last oct. had my interview April 4th was approved.

Initially Filing I-130 For This Visa:

To initially file for this visa, bring the below listed documents to the U.S. Embassy in Manila on Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 12:00pm to window 35. No appointment is necessary. Total time I spent at the Embassy was approx 1.5 hours.

Documents Required for Initial Filing:

1. I-130 application

2. G-325A application (myself) with 2 passport photos (2 ?x 2? glossy color with white background)

3. G-325A application (wife) with 2 passport photos (2? x 2? glossy color with white background)

4. Photocopy and original U.S. passport (Front page and page with 13a visa stamp)

5. Photocopy and original Philippines passport (Front page)

6. Photocopy and original NSO birth certificate

7. Photocopy and original U.S. birth certificate

8. Photocopy and original NSO marriage contract

9. Photocopy and original ACR-I card

10. Photocopy and original retired military ID cards (if applicable)

11. Photocopy of all previous divorce papers

12. Documentation (such as a title) showing joint ownership or property (house, lot or vehicle), or a rental lease contract showing joint occupancy of an apartment or house in both husband?s and wife?s name.

Once these documents are submitted to the Embassy, you will receive by mail a ?Notice of Approval of Relative Immigrant Visa Petition? letter about 1-2 weeks later.

The CEMAR you dont need intel the interview.
