K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2009 K-1 Visa Filers	I just called DOS and they informed me that Montreal is sending my Packet 4 with my interview date to me ..in March. I'm going to get Kenyth to call back and see if we can find out if that means a march or april interview... because if it means april or later I'll have to reschedule the wedding =( PS I am happy that I at least have a range now of when I am possibly interviewing lol.. its just so many people have to travel from different states and countries, so they need to book their vacation in advance Kenyth called and they had no information - they didn't even tell him the packet 4 was being sent in march... hrmm.. weird... He kind of giggles at me when I complain about things here, because it's always way worse there. While I'll be complaining about our 8 inches of snow he'll just tell me his parents in Rouyn-Noranda have like 15 or 16. Show off. I may name the kitty VJ. It's actually kind of cute! Kitty Poo is the princess of the house. She HATES other cats. I'm hoping if she gets used to this new one, then introducing her to Mathews cat wont be so bad. But otherwise we're gonna need to wear like body suits and hold up couch cushions to shield us from the flying fur. Poor fat kitty doesn't even know whats coming to her. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2009 K-1 Visa Filers	For me it wasn't an option because I can't fathom the thought of being without my husband. I would rather be apart while engaged and know that on my wedding day, I will never have to be alone again. I honestly never even considered anything other than a K-1 for that reason. I can see how it would be beneficial for other people, but for me...nah. For me.. legally you are not allowed to go to the states with the intention of getting married. Kenyth and I met online and knew what we wanted to do. If he was to have just met me randomly while I was visiting the states and married me then it would be legal and I could have went back to Canada and applied for a K3. (From what I understand anyway) Also, we heard that the K3 can sometimes take longer than the K1... and after our first in person meeting we had already started the K1 and paid the fees. We would have had to start all over again. So my Finance just received his Packet 3 in the mail today! That was super fast, i called NVC three days ago they said they mailed it on Dec 23rd, I called the US Embassy in barbados today and they said they mailed instructions on Dec 30th and todays Jan 8th! its going to be a great 2010. Thanks for VJ and all the members for helping through all of this, ive been reading and researching and its really helped me know whats next! Now go onto another next step. Patience!!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2009 K-1 Visa Filers	I understand that only Montreal and Vancouver have the staff/training needed for K1 Visas. I also know that at one point the east cost of Canada, in Halifax, had a medical office too. There probably isn't much demand coming from the east side of Canada, hence the closure. I also undersand being short staffed, over loaded, etc. Why is it that when Montreal or even Vancouver gets so backed up (5-7 months worth), why the other consulates in Canada, i.e. Halifax, do not have one or two people who are already trained to transfer the work to - this way Montreal can hire the staff and train them and they still wouldn't be behind as much. I'm not harping on Montreal or the great work that they do, don't take this wrong. I know other people are waiting a lot longer than me and for their NOA2s anymore, and I am grateful that I have been getting processed as quickly as I am. I guess I'm just getting worried because I stupidly booked a wedding too early even when they say don't plan anything until you have a visa in hand - so my own fault of course, but I didn't expect Montreal to get so behind =( lol - anyway - Heres hoping for interviews coming out of the wahzoo for us all! As of January, this month, HIV testing for the medical examinations are no longer required. http://www.cdc.gov/n...panel-civil.htm So HIV test and HPV no longer required. I'm hoping that maybe they already got theirs and are just so busy having fun together that they haven't checked in. i've only got two more days before i head out to ecuador! i am so excited and nervous. i've reviewed all the forms and everything is well-organized...tons of evidence...man i hope everything goes okay. yes looks like mid-to-end of march will be good times hopefully for us all! we would be targeting then as well...though i might recommend april instead, to let it get a little warmer up here! I am afraid of subjecting my sweetie to the northeast winters before he has time to ease into them...he might turn right around and go back to beautiful, balmy, warm ecuador! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2009 K-1 Visa Filers	Awesome site for information. Met my fiance via skype in november of 2008. One thing led to another, and she flew here in February 2009 and stayed until late April. We applied for the K1 in September, and in October I flew to Germany and stayed with her for 2 weeks. While in Europe, we traveled to Ireland, and I did the 'proper' proposal in Dublin Castle Garden. In December, received the RFE, and sent in all the receipts, passport stamps, flight tickets, and pictures from my stay in Europe with her. Received notice today that they have received the packet... now back to the waiting game. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2009 K-1 Visa Filers	Joanna medical exam was changed to tomorrow at 8am then right after that she is heading to the Embassy at 9:30. Cutting it close but the doctors office is right around the corner from the Embassy atleast. I don't normally stress but have been stressing today and probably won't get much sleep tonight. Until I get the call from her that she got the Visa in the morning. Going to be stressed out until that thinking and thinking. Mind won't just let me sleep.. I know saying try not to isn't going to help... but it'll all work out as it should. She will do fantastic in the interview and medical of course...and everything will be amazing. The VJ has been such a help for me during this process. I sent my 129F on Sept 10th, and recently received notice that the NVC has received it! I was wondering what I do now. Any advice or insights on what i should be doing to help with the next process. Should i start calling the NVC to check on if they have sent my paper work to the consulate in Barbados? I am getting really excited and it was great christmas news to hear of things moving along so fast! Looking for any advice! W2s he has.. pay stubs he doesn't get but he has a printoff of his income from the marine corps database... we're unsure if he has the transcripts..and I need them by next week :S..and I think he has a few bank statements... I'm a little freaked out now because I'm unsure if we have the evidence needed...lol why oh why did I wait until last minute to review the documents he sent me.... Last night I looked at it, and we're in a rush now.. the letter of employment was not on company letter head. So I am making Kenyth get them to re-do it. Also the I-134 was electronic signature..and it requires ink signature..so now I am making him redo that. Question 11 we put any monies and necessities needed would be provided..and that he intends... but I saw a sample form where they didn't fill out Question 11 and wrote in N/A (K1 visa process for Permnant Residence) .. should we do that as well? Hopefully he'll get the EAD or whatever it is lol... very quickly and land a job quickly on top of that. The whole financial aspect is a big change for everyone going through this I think.. and it can be hard for the first while. Hopefully, we will all manage to get through it without too much of a headache.. finances can be such a downer on a relationship. I personally am going to have a hard time being comfortable with someone else providing for me for awhile. I'm use to working and doing things on my own...lol I hope you both manage to work out a budget that suites you well though, and that isn't too much of a strain. Yeah As far as I remember, have to check when I get home, I have a pay print out of his Marine Corps Allowance/pays, a letter from his Shop SGT confirming that he works there and how much he makes and that he is and will be a Marine, a copy of his marine ID to confirm that it is true, a statement of his bank accounts for a year I think ..and I'm not sure if i have when it was opened though :S..His bank is in california, and hes now stationed in South Carolina.. theres no branch in SC for him to go to .. so I hope I don't need an official letter from the bank. I've never heard of them being automatically ordered when they come through immigration. I would hate to see you waste 2-3 weeks of time if the person you spoke to was making a mistake. Or maybe they were thinking of a different visa??? Oh, and keep an eye on your phone next tuesday. I'll be texting you with some good news. My form I sent to the embassy had requested a security number.. so maybe that's why they are assuming it automatically goes through when they come through immigration because it was already noted that the person would like/need one? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2009 K-1 Visa Filers	I don't see much of a difference other than that 1 is bigger but it's all about you and what matters to you and Matthew Yeah, one is 3 and one is 5 tier .. but also.. one is real/fake roses... the other is cake/frosting made roses it seems? I think the details on the white icing are similar though the second picture is a little smaller so it's hard to tell. I love both white gold and yellow gold and a lot of my pieces are a combination of both. Krystle and Seb both have exquisite taste! Maggie I love the dress, it is beautiful! With all the beautiful beautiful things popping up on here I should ask my husband if he wants to get married agian. I've taken on the task of painting the interior of my daughters home as well as her kitchen cabinets. Funny thing is I hired someone to paint the exterior of mine at the same time, so needless to say we have a lot going on here. My son found a great apartment for him and Najmeh and he will be moving this weekend. This is going to be a wild spring I can already tell. For those who are wondering, I'm still smoke free!
