Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionNOA received from TSC
QUOTE (ella_kirk @ Jun 5 2008, 07:45 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hi Visa Journey,

I just got an NOA from TSC regarding my 1-751 Application sent to them last May 28th.

Hopefully, it won't take long for me to get my Biometrics Appt.

So maybe TSC is not asleep after all.?

Still waiting for my NOA (package sent out in mid March). They are still sleeping.

You got a NOA from TSC? How come so many here don't receive anything? I still haven't gotten the NOA (we sent everything out in March) and got the extension stamp via Infopass appointment eventually.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionNo letter of extension received
Yes. Go ahead and schedule an infopass appointment. Bring your GC, Bio Letter and Passport and ask for the I551 extension stamp. I went ahead and already did it since I'm in the same situation as you, just my GC is still valid until next week.

Good luck.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionOnline Status for I-751
QUOTE (AussieDude @ Jul 11 2008, 12:08 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
The receipt number on the NOA1 is an internal number, it doesn't appear in the case status system. I read somewhere that the first digit in the last 5 digit block is how you can distinguish internal from external numbers. If that digit is 5, its an external (and will appear on the case status online), if its a 0, it wont.

You might be right. It's definetely a 5 in my case.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionOnline Status for I-751
You will receive the correct number on your biometrics invitation. I had the same problem but my number wasn't on the extension noa (i never got one) but on the check that I saw online. The number on the biometrics noa was different and worked. Just a little more patience. All the best.
EvelineFemaleGermany2008-07-10 20:36:00
Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI751 no apt yet.....
I agree, at least bios should have been done already. As for the waiting...welcome to the club. I've been waiting for 10 months now and I didn't even get an extension letter.

When your extension expires, make an INFOPASS and ask for an extension stamp. I might have to go get me another one since I want to travel in April.
EvelineFemaleGermany2009-01-22 00:05:00
Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionHow to check case status?
Theres also (on www.uscis.gov) a box on the lower right for a quick check, if you don't want to completely log in. You don't have to be registered to use that box.

As mentioned above, the number from the extension letter is NOT in the system. It's the number from the biometrics invitation that is in the system.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionCongratulations to All I-751 Approvals at the VSC in 2009!!!
QUOTE (AntandD @ Feb 1 2009, 01:31 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hi Everyone,

To all of you who received/will receive your 10 yr green card at the VSC recently/soon, whom I forgot/might forget (lol...I tend to be forgetful at times...I swear, it's a pregnancy symptom) to congratulate on the "VSC I-751 Status List":

star_smile.gif Congratulations, (fill in your VJ name here) on getting your 10yr green card! star_smile.gif

After such a long wait, you deserve it! It's good to know that the VSC is doing something, even if it takes a long time. Too bad though, you couldn't get a refund for the I-751, as you only have the 10yr card for a short time now.

Oh well, onto the next stage of citizenship for you!

Good luck too on your Citizenship application and the rest of your immigration journey!

Ant (Still waiting at the VSC, Still waiting for Baby...)

P.S. And to those of your still waiting....good luck to you too, for your I-751 case at the VSC to be approved soon! good.gif

Not planning on doing the citizenship thing yet. so I'll get some good use out of the greencard, if I ever get it that is. laughing.gif

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionDidn't get anything yet from USCIS
According to CA processing times it takes about 6 months for removal. You have filed 5 months ago. why not give it another four weeks.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionWe got our I-751 appointment!!!
I don't think the case is moving any faster than anybody else's who filed in VT or got transferred there. I had my bios one month after filing in Apirl 08...nothing ever since.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionBio. done but no one year extension
I also didn't receive the extension. A few weeks before my GC expired I went to get the I551 Stamp in my passport via infopass.
EvelineFemaleGermany2009-02-05 13:11:00
Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionOk, I'm confused...
I also got a reminder from USCIS. Just a little white paper, telling me the window in which I have to file removal of conditions BUT I got mine when I received my conditional greencard back in 2006

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussionreceived I-797C, but can't check status online
There's two ways you can check your status. Either on the main page in the lower right there is a box where you can enter the entire number plus the first three letters for a 'quick search' OR on the left in that column should be a 'check case online' tab that you click on and then have to register with email and password. If you do that you get your status updates (if there are any) via email.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionVSC Transfers to CSC
QUOTE (jamieswith @ Jan 29 2009, 06:31 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Is it possible they took care of mine first simply because i'd filed for citizenship? Just a thought.

I doubt that matters. I think that Kathryn41's file is with another person at VSC as yours was and that particular person is probably just slow. Very frustrating though.

QUOTE (jamieswith @ Jan 29 2009, 11:26 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
While this is very positive in the long run, given the history of what happened with the TSC transfers to VSC, I'm sure glad my case was approved BEFORE this transfer...

Things in the past have shown an inclination to get delayed/lost/otherwise messed up when these sorts of transfers initially start to take place...

Here's hoping they learned from past problems and things will go as fast and smooth as they intend this time!

It's bad news for people who are filing or about to file at CSC though - they won't be getting the amazing approval times that they have been doing!

I agree...Seeing, that VSC currently approves cases that were received late February makes me wonder if my case (mid march) is one of the transfers. Honestly, I wish they'd just leave it at VSC instead of shipping it to CSC. I'm scared the files get lost, forgotten about etc..

Well, same here. I sent everything to TSC at the time when they didn't send out the extension letters. A few days before my GC expired I went for an Infopass to get my stamp in the passport. I didn't want to travel but I wanted the stamp just in case I had to. Still hoping to hear from VSC until March.

Oh gosh...the waiting game is just so darn draining. I went for an Infopass to at least get my extension from TSC in May 08. I haven't really heard ANYTHING since I send the whole package off. Last thing I heard is that I got transferred and that was in March 08. I see people from CSC getting approved withing a mere 8 weeks. It is ridiculous. I'm glad to see though, that I'm not alone.

Would you add me please? My computer scews up the format (Yes, I did change the format in the settings but still it won't work right).

Package sent out to TSC on 03/19/2008, check cashed on 03/26/2008, transferred to Vermont Service Center 03/26/2008 and biometrics scheduled for 04/17/2008.

Thank you.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751 Rejection Notice: “You do not have conditional resident status"
Why would you wait sooo long though to get things straightened out? Why did you wait two years and never asked anyone about that mistake before?

If it was me, I'd probably make an infopass and see what they say. Not everybody necessarily will file for naturalization at the 3 year mark, so if the card is ok, Id' just go with that.

Salam alekom yassir we ahlan...

the timing between when VSC send to NVC will differ from time to time.

it took mine from california service center to NVC was about a month. once i was at NVC things started to move faster than with USCIS.
BE patient and insha allah you will hear something within a 2 week frame. i moved fast on mine. pay your fees when they ask. send in affidavite of support and visa application as soon as they ask. once you finish with NVC you will have to wait for an appointment time to come available at the embassy on morocco.
i have a friend here who is from jordan but he been here a long time. his wife is from morroco and from the time he sent petition til when she got here was about 9 months.

insha allah it will move soon for you.

GOOD LUCK! BE PATEINT~ ALLAH STANDS BESIDE YOU ALWAYS!

When transaltions are made, they are certified anyway from the translator but you should always submit translations along with original documents. i did on everything we did and makes it easier too.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionWeird response from embassy

the truth is that egypt is full of radicalised islamists who would like to come to USA to blow stuff up. the AP you are going thru is designed to weed them out.

honestly i think that is crazy. when you have proven yourself not once but twice to these people for over 2 years, it is still the same. good people trying to make a life with each other.

samy + janet alyFemaleEgypt2013-05-01 11:20:00
US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionWeird response from embassy

Difficult to know how to interpret, but I would say it sounds like the waiver is approved, but he is still under AP (extra security/ name checks- very common for males from his country).

i emailed them again but asked about " waiver's response" and they say:

Please note that we have received the NVC?s response on your case, however the case is still going under admin processing. At this stage no further documents are required.

we went thru 5 months of AP last year before they sent us back to USCIS for review, then we waited over 8 months before we got reaffirmed, then to DOS with 2 weeks of AP there and now we are back at the embassy we are in AP again.....they did all security checks and background checks. i so want to ask them why AP again.
