They didn't for me. The gave the date it left. I assumed it was in either 29 Mar or 30 Mar DHL mailing

Following Wishing's guide he found from the NVC forum, I was able to locate the DHL shipment from Portsmouth, NH to Bangkok. Although DHL hasn't updated the tracking log since 01:43 on April 7. So it should have gotten to Bangkok but has not been updated.

Thanks Wishing. It took me a few minutes to figure it out. It seems as of 01:43 Apr 7 it was sitting in the hub in Cinncinnatti.

I just want to know that all the paperwork is moving along and not lost. We aren't in a big rush here since Audy needs to complete work through October before she can come over here.

But I am in a hurry up and wait mode.

Thanks again.

Congratulations to all recent NOA2's. Good luck with the next steps.

Just got off phone with NVC, our petition was sent to Montreal Consulate yesterday!! That is fast!!! Just looked on DHL and shipment was sent to MTL today... Wonder how long Packet 3 will be!?

Wishing or Adam & May, did NVC give you the DHL tracking number.

Thanks very much and good luck.

[size=2]Ok - the next stage: packet 3. This might clog up this thread a bit as this might be too country/consular specific to warrant inclusion in this thread, so please excuse and advise as need be.

I think it is very muchh country and consulate specific. Our Embassy which is Bangkok wants DS-2001 returned which is the checklist and form of readiness returned along woth originals of all the forms and documents which include
DS-230 Part I
DS-156
DS-156K AND
DS-157

You apparently do not need DS-157 for London.
Basically for Bangkok, you mail in everything except the Medical Exam records/results and Evidence of Relationship which is kind of interesting that they specifically don't want that mailed in in advance.

Maybe you should see the London thread.

That's 13 approvals that we know of in 1 week :o

I think we are very lucky to be CSC beneficiaries or petitioners. Great job by the CSC unless you are still waiting for NOA2.

Congratulations to all February filers approved in the past week.

Good luck to all the upcoming approvals for the remaining February filers.

Okay, so you can call the NVC and get a case number already? Is it going to be the same one that the embassy gives you? Because I think we need that for the medical examination and to pay the visa fee. I really hope that’s the case because I want to try and slip through and pay the lower fee before it jumps up to the 400ish dollar one.

From what I have read in other postings, the Consulate/Embassy has been saying the new fee will be paid based on the INTERVIEW date, not paid date. So if the interview is May 24, you will need to know if the new fee has taken effect before that date.

For address I think it is better to put your parent's address than no address. I think they might frown on someone traveling to the US and not listing an address.

@Adam and May - Thanks very much.

I called NVC at about 11:19 am West Coast time. Waited less than 5 minutes for an operator. She told me they have received my petition from CSC and it was going out to Bangkok today. Should be 4 or 5 days to get to Bangkok from what I have read on the Thai specific forum.

So Adam is right. If you want to call NVC, do not use the Automated system as I was doing, select the option for speaking to an operator.

Again, good luck to all of us February Filers.

Happy Easter to all!

@ Audy_Rob - The info I have is that K1s are not a part of their automated system. The first prompt is for Haiti related or not. Then I choose option 2 (which includes K1).

@Adam - Hey Adam, thanks for the information. I am glad you told me this. I will try to speak to a LIVE person tomorrow.

Three weeks in the Phils with May. Sounds very good. I think you should enjoy that.

We have a November wedding planned, Audy has some committments at work she cannot leave until late October. So really the interview can be August or as late as September. I just want to keep everything moving.

We are hoping to make a call for NVC early this week...are they closed on Easter Monday? (at least its Easter Monday in Canada...)

I do not think they are closed for Easter Monday. I have never known the post office to close on Monday after Easter either. I plan to call everyday twice a day until about 14 days. If they do not have it by then, I will call to talk to a live operator.

I know bainbridge is having problems with getting his file to NVC, unfortunately.

Hello All February 2010 CSC Filers. I know it is a little early, but I have seen on some timelines not in this thread, when NVC received an approved petition by the time NOA2 was received in the mail. There were many people approved in the past week. I would like to know when your petition arrives at NVC.

I have called NVC's automated line, gone through the options for dialing the answers and gotten the response of NO, they do not have my case yet. I have done this three times. I have not requested to speak to a live person as I do not want to wait and it has only been ONE week. Still, I wish the petition was there.

Please let me know. The NVC telephone number is: 1-603-334-0700.

Thanks.

@SunDrop : Have you been celebrating ? Get back to work please. I do not see you put me in the list of Feb fillers :crying: :crying:

@Lien_Joseph, hey she is entitled to celebrate a little. But I see she already added you to the list of February Filers so she seems to be on the ball while celebrating.

Wow finally got the NOA2. Just so you guys know I've been checking the website for an update and it still shows Feb 9 2010 as last time my case was touched. I got the Hard copy NOA2 in the mail today.

Zyrian, Congratulations!

Hmmh, so you got your NOA 2 in the mail and your case status was never updated on the web site. Things like that happen.

I signed up for emails to be sent when there was an update. The web site was update 3/26, 3/27 and 3/29 with NOA 2 posted 3/27. I never got any email.

Congratulations, I am so happy for you both. Good luck.

Well...woke up to a very nice text message " Your case WAC XXXXXXXXXX is now updated. Check "My Case Status" at www.uscis.gov". So initially I was kind scared uh oh an RFE?? As it seems others have gotten a text saying "Your case has been approved". So went to USCIS website and my little circle is at Post-Decision activity and Case HAS BEEN APPROVED!!!

WOW!!! Lots of activity.

1) Wishing - Congratulations Happy April Fools Day from USCIS. Good luck with the next steps.

2) "haze and ced" Thanks for the congrats." You know from your photo you guys make a perfect couple. You are going to have a wonderful marriage. NOA1 of Feb 4. Hmmmhhh, maybe very soon.

3) Shawn and Emi, Congrats. How come you are not jumping up and down and screaming in internet space. Are you excited about it?

4) OK SunDrop. It is your turn. I am thinking of you everyday. I hope some good news comes soon.

Thanks SunDrop! Looks like my problem was just not anticipating that much deviation from the NOA1->NOA2 days on your list.

Hi Linasaur. I really like your avatar photo. Is that a picture of you or your fiancee. It always makes me laugh. I wonder if I am developing a taste for ladies with large mustaches.

There are not enough petitions recorded here at VJ for the results to really be meaningful. I expected to some others here to have an approval by now but it hasn't happened. I think some cases might be more difficult or have issues and we do not have a way to account for that.

Good luck to all February filers.

If there's anyone with knowledge of what goes on behind the scenes, I'd really love to understand it.

Hey Linasaur, are you honestly asking if someone might have knowledge and understanding of what happens inside a US Government bureaucracy? There is no such person(s).

got a touch today! 03/30! hopefully will get that approval in the next couple of days!

Hi spencer12, do you have a timeling. I don't see the icon for your timeline. If you don't have it, can you enter it under immigration timelines. It will help Feb and March people.

Also, I think you might already be approved. You just need the uscis system to be updated to show your current status as approved.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsFebruary 2010 Filers - California Service Center

I finally got a response from NVC research today ... my petition is " enroute " to NVC. I don't know if it was the phone calls to both NVC and USCIS or the request to NVC research to "find " the petition or the phone call to my congressman's office last Friday.
Now the question is .... how long will " enroute " take ?????

I did not know you were having trouble with the file going to NVC. Great, so that is what I need to worry about now. I just assumed that was a really easy step that took 4 to 5 days and no problems. :crying:

Hi Varyag, I think you are over-analyzing the situation but then that is what one tends to do while waiting. Relax, your turn will come SOON!!!

Hi SunDrop. Thanks for the Congrats. I am expecting to see something posted from you VERY SOON. I am checking many times a day. Too many times a day, I should be working, LOL! Also, you are doing a great job keeping the list going, I like how you greyed out the people that have not participated in a month. I must say I am very happy to see Audy_Rob in the approved list. I checked on the USCIS web-site today just to make sure and yes, it still does say APPROVED. They did not take it back.

Hi Wishing, your time is coming, not to worry, it will be soon.

Good luck to all, I will still keep checking here to see all the February approvals very soon.

Was so excited at the fast rate of approvals at the CSC, but it seems to have sort of come to a hault. Any ideas why? Looks like they are processing Feb 8 right now. I am Feb 19- the wait sucks!

Hey sharaincali, I do not think it has slowed. I was approved in 46 days and my NOA1 is 11 days before you. Try to wait about 10 -12 days. I think you will see some activity. I think CSC is still doing a great job. Although I still see some people from November that might disagree.

It seems the update posts on the USCIS site is inconsistent. Our touch & notification occurred on 3/23 but it was for actions taken on 3/18 (the date on our NOA2).

I am all for them working on processing the packets and being a little slow on the touch updates (unless less an RFE is involved, then get those notices out as quickly as possible!).

Hi Adam & May

Thank you very much. It is SUnday afternoon here. Because I just read your posting, I went back to USCIS web-site and checked my status.

Sure enough. It now says Last Updated 03/27/2010. Then I clicked on the WAC number and it said I am APPROVED.

SunDrop. I am thinking you will be next.

Best of luck to everyone. I have to call Audy now.

Adam & May

Interesting, so you only got one touch and also the approval at the same time. I did not see an approval. It said it is still in Initial Review.

I have a few complications like SunDrop. I am divorced but included the proper certified Divorce Decree. Also I had an I-129F filing and approval about September 2004 and an interview that never happened. Long story. So I am more worried about that. Technically I do not need a waiver. (I don't think). I am worried now I was updated but no change in the status of the filing.

Just logged in to www.uscis.gov like I do two times every weekday (and sometimes on the weekend). I got touched. My file was last updated 03/26/2010. That is today!!! WooHoo (sp???) I am afraid by posting this I will jinx my petition application but I am trying to give others hope.

Now the question is, will I sail through and be approved next week or there will be issues with my filing and not have this immediately approved.

However for the rest of you February filers like SunDrop, They are currently working on Feb 8 NOA1 files. Good luck to all.

Congratulations Adam & May. Good luck with the interview process.

I have not been checking the board. I was in Thailand for a few weeks visiting my fiancee. It is good to see some CSC approvals coming through.

I was not happy with the Customs inspection yesterday when I got back. All people that visit Thailand three times in 13 months must be drug runners.

Wow, was just reading the Jan Filers thread and of the 52 petitions listed on VJ timelines, 23 have been approved! I'm getting a real kick out of seeing my estimated NOA2 date drop from May 19th to April 15th in the 24 days since our NOA1 and now finding it reallllly hard to not get excited about the prospect of NOA2 arriving sometime in March instead of May, which I'd mentally (and emotionally!) reconciled myself to.

Hi Sundrop. I haven't seen you post for a week or so. You know there are already CSC K-1 two petitions from February filers that have been approved.

You and your daughter will be here sooner than you think. 100 days at London. Wow, that is another long wait. I think Bangkok is about the same. I am not sure yet. Audy wants to wait until late October or November to come here so she can take care of some issues at work. So in that sense, we are not really in a big rush. She is not, but I am. I am leaving this week to visit her. It should help pass two weeks without me checking USCIS web site everyday and sitting on VJ.

Hey, first of all congratulations. You will have your fiancee here before summer.

Way to go CSC. Keep moving them. I am only about 8 days behind. Will I get NOA2 in 8 days. Of course in 8 days I will be with her but we could still find a way to celebrate.

I'm finding that the difference between waiting for the NOA-2 and being a child waiting for Christmas morning is that we can't peel back the tape on the giftwrap to see what we got :clock:

That is why I am leaving in six days to go visit my fiancee. I miss her and when we meet we are going to be peeling back a lot of gift wrap. I can tell you that for sure.

I do wonder who will be lucky enough to be the first among the February filers to receive their NOA 2!? With approvals coming within 35 days in some cases...it could happen...small chances, but it could happen!!

I think according to Igor's List under immigration timelines, Ljuba and Warren have alread been approved.
Their info:
Service Center: CSC
NOA1: Feb 3, 2010
NOA2: Feb 24, 2010
Approval time was 21 days.

I saw that also SunDrop. I was kind of thinking the same thing as you. What if I got NOA2 in thirty days? Yes, I was thinking that the same time I was fantasizing about winning $80 million in the lottery.

Mailed mine off Feb 19th

Hey Mike&Rhio. I am assuming you Filed for a K-1 at the CSC because that is what this thread is for. Maybe you can edit your profile to include what you filed for and at what Service Center. It helps keep the different time frames straight.

If that succeeds, then we'll set up some kind of back-up plan...maybe I'll route her through somewhere that does preclearance like Nassau. If she gets turned away there, I can hop over and we can spend a week or two in the Bahamas before she has to go home.

Now that is a great back-up plan. I like it.

Gonna try a B-2 while waiting for the K-1 to get to the next steps. We're fully aware of the unlikelihood it gets approved, but the worst that happens is we're out the filing fee. If anything interesting happens, will post an update...

Actually, the worst that could happen is you get the B-2 visa but are denied entry at the POE by the ICE officer because he sees the I-129F petition has been filed.

Now that would be the Worst.

good luck...

You applied to CSC correct? You should see a WAC########## type stamp on the back of your check. The WAC number is your case number for the petition.

Will do and thanks :)

Oh and I didn’t include the instructions either, figured if they didn’t want the I-129F instructions they wouldn’t want the G-325A ones either.

Thanks for keeping up the timelines.

No one will get an RFE for not including the instructions to G-325a. The less paper they get the better except for proof of meeting at least once in the past two years.
