National Visa Center (Dept of State)I-134 Question
I have a few questions about the I-134. Do you think I should anticipate an problems for my Thai fiance's visa application. I am currently working as a contractor in a reputable company for six months in a temp to perm situation. So while it is promising it is still a temporary position. My salary for the last 7 years has been more than the minimum required by the USCIS for the K-1 visa. I have some money in savings. I do not anticipate any problems in solely supporting my fiance until she is comfortable in the US and also starts working in the future.

I just got my NOA2 last week and am now preparing for the next steps. Will the visa petition get rejected because I do not have a permanent position? Any thoughts or advice will me much appreciated.

Thanks!

National Visa Center (Dept of State)Package 3 preparations and going Bangkok for police and medical.
The NVC mailed out my paperwork to the US embassy in Thailand on 10/12/11. My fiance wants to go to Bangkok and start the process for the police and medical test/checkups. Do you know if the recent onslaught of flooding has slowed or affected the processes for getting the police records or medical exams etc. Any personal experiences would be very helpful.

Does the American Embassy close for 2 weeks in December? I checked the website and it says it is closed only for 3 days in December( 5th, 12th and 26th). I find it surprising that government offices are not closed for longer. I am wondering what the chances of her interview date being in December are? She should have all the paperwork ready to be mailed back to the embassy within a week of receiving Package 3. Which I suspect should be mailed out to her hopefully 30 days after the embassy receives it -- 11/12/11(not sure of this).

Any one who is in Bangkok now - I would love to hear from you!!

Thanks!
