THIS ARE WHAT ST LUKE ASK ME TO HAVE. 2 PCS OF 2X2 ID PICTURE,PASSPORT, INTERVIEW APPOINTMENT, LETTER FROM NVC, THE 10,500 PESOS, AND BRING THE OTHER DOCUMENTS BECAUSE CANT REMEMBER WHAT ARE THEY. DURING THE PHYSICAL ASSESSMENT, NOTHING TO BE WORRIED ABOUT IT BECAUSE ITS JUST QUICK. ACCORDING TO MY OTHER FRIENDS THE DOCTOR WILL GOING TO EXAMINE YOUR FLOWER FOR WOMEN, BUT IN MY CASE THE DOCTOR DIDNT DID IT, SHE JUST ASK ME TO BEND MY KNEES AND LOOK IF I GOT SOMETHING IN MY #######. LOL...THERE WERE STILL MANY EXAMINATIONS NEED TO BE DONE BUT IT ONLY TAKES A MINUTES, AND AFTER THAT THE LAST EXAMINES WILL BE THE IMMUNIZATION. THE DOCTOR WILL GOING TO ASK A SORT OF QUESTION ABOUT YOUR VACCINES AND SCHEDULE YOU TO BE IMMUNIZE ON THE NEXT DAY. SECOND DAY OF MY MEDICAL EXAMINATION, I GIVE THE VACCINE PAPERS TO THE NURSE AT THE IMMUNIZATION AREA AND WAIT FOR MY NAME TO BE CALLED. AND GOT MY 4 SHOTS AT A TIME AND IT MAKES ME FEEL SO SICK FOR ABOUT 5 DAYS. AND AFTER THE SHOTS THE NURSE TOLD ME TO WAIT AND HAVE A SIT AT THE GROUND FLOOR AND WAIT FOR MY NAME TO BE CALLED. THEY WILL GOING TO GIVE YOU THE CD OF YOUR CHEST X RAY. AND THATS THE END OF THE MEDICAL EXAMINATION.

PS. DURING MEDICAL EXAMINATION, DO NOT FORGET THE FIRST DAY OF YOUR LAST MENSTRUAL PERIOD BECAUSE IT WILL BE ASKED TILL THE END OF THE EXAMINATION.

Technically, as I understand it, the USCIS isn't looking for proof of relationship at all, just proof of meeting in the last 2 years. I assumed he was refering to what the consulate would need to verify a bona fide relationship. That being said, emails can be easily faked and probably not very strong evidence.

Phone bills, emails, etc... are only examples of what you can submit. If the two of you are living together, I'm sure there must be a lot of better evidence you can submit. Bills in both of your names at the same address, and a boatload of pictures together just to name a couple.

Just an update. They both passed the medical exam and picked up all the paperwork and are headed back to Lugansk for the start of Kirills school on Sunday. Yep that's right, it is always starts Septemebr 1st no matter what day of the week. Anyway she didn't need anything with the KEV number on it to pick up the completed medical. Still I would suggest having something with the KEV number. We did medical as soon as we got a case number because of the start of school approaching. We are still stuck in AP at NVC Hoping to move out soon, get to interview, and get them over here. Prayers and crossed fingers it moves fast.

I need to add that after some back and forth and checking for 25 minutes they finally allowed her to proceed for medical checks.  Vika can be very persuasive when she needs to be.  She said between her and Kirill that the exam took no more than 3 hours.

Vika and Kirill went for their exam today, She passed hers, results for him will be available Friday. The one thing that was a problem was they wanted to have her have the case number written somewhere, not just able to give to them verbally.  I had read where you could just go with the case number but the woman was insistent that she needed a paper with the case number written on it. Our case number is assigned but still at NVC in additional processing.  I don't know what she would even get from the embassy with a case number.  Maybe an email? We had to do this while both her and Kirill were both in Kiev before they return to Lugansk next week.  Just a friendly FYI, be prepared in case this comes up for anyone going for the interview. Maybe the woman was just having a bad day or something as others have done exactly what we did and not had a problem.

We have our interview coming up on 9/20/2013 in Kiev.  We are making tentative plans (no purchases of tickets of course) so we wanted to see how long those who recently got approved have had to wait to receive their visa from TNT.  She is going to stay in Kiev and pick it up from that location so it will not have to travel far.  Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

NYC. Sometimes I feel that half the city is RUB. Everywhere you go someone is speaking Russian.


Vika is going to be flying into New York and we will spend a long weekend there (my first visit as well) before coming home. We have a few things planned, including Ellis Island where my great grandparents came through when they came to the states from Ireland. No piles of paperwork for them though I'm sure! Figured it would be fitting place to visit considering the circumstances)). Any other recommendations outside the normal tourist places that we should visit?

Just curious as to where everyone in the RUB forums are from in the states. Vika is not here yet..sigh... but it would be nice for some of us that live close to each other to give our spouses a taste of home and language.  I am from Baton Rouge, La and there doesn't seem to be a big population of RUB's here.  So if you are up for sharing, post your hometown and state, or closest big city and maybe we can even plan some events if any of us are close enough.  I know if I was in a foreign country, no matter how well I adjusted, a sense of home and language would be refreshing from time to time.

Anywhere from a day to 8 weeks or more.  Some cases have been in AP at NVC for a matter of years...but not likely. Depends on why it is in Ap and what they need to clear it out of AP.  If they need something from Ukraine, and Ukraine takes their sweet time about delivering, then you wait longer.
 
Can be because of some reason or for no reason.  They will not tell you why and will not tell anyone else why.  When the case is completed they will send you a notice that the case has been forwarded to Kiev and from then it usually takes 2-3 weeks before you can schedule your appointment. 
 
I wish I could tell you something else, but that is how it is.  
 
There are going to be numerous delays and snafus in this process, this process lasts 4 years or more and you are still in the "easy part" and it is not just USCIS and NVC and DOS that you have trouble with.  Prepare for problems with insurance, banks, SS, DMV, schools and everyone else that is going to look at you like deer in the headlights when you answer the question "Are you a US citizen?" with a "NO".  
 
And NEVER claim to be a US citizen until the oath of citizenship is taken.  It would seem to be the "easy way" sometimes, but even one claim to citizenship is a deportable offense.  
 
Don't worry...she's worth it!

Yeah I know she is worth the wait but for a year and a half we've been waiting in some way or another. Typing words on iMessage and Facebook just don't cut it anymore. Ha!

NVC received petition form TSC on 8/19, case number assigned 8/20 (when I called them) case still shows "at NVC" as of Friday so I called.  Nice gentleman said we were in "additional processing".  I've read the older threads on here, anyone have any new information on what this is about, or how long it takes to get case sent on to the embassy?  Just want to get this process over with soon!

From what I was told by the congressmans aid and from what I have learned on my own is that it is more of a quality control check than anything else. It seems they randomly select cases to have someone go through the case file instead of the rubber stamp and being sent off to the embassy. There has been no confirmed evidence that they do additional background checks. Anything is possible though but I believe it was pulled, set on a desk, then looked through for accuracy then sent off to the embassy.

Thanks for sharing and keep us updated. We are stuck at NVC as well. NOA2 from August 13th...we just keep calling every day and still no news. How could it take 3.5+ weeks for delivery from CSC to NVC?... It's unfair to make us wait even longer.

Have you been assigned an NVC case number yet? It starts with KEV2013xxxxxx. If not at least you aren't in AP, that is an entirely different beast to deal with. It took about 3 weeks to go from TSC to NVC but once they received the case we were assigned a number pretty quickly.

Honestly no... they do not move any case based on call from congressman.

All congressman and their office can do is inquire about the case and maybe escalate it to supervisor if ones case has been not worked on in reasonable time.

 

well whatever they did I am glad to have a better answer out of NVC then I was getting from the telephone reps. Just even getting an estimated date is more reassuring than the standard answer.

Just got off the phone with a Constituent Affairs rep at my Congressman's office.  She called NVC and spoke to a supervisor.  The following is what she was told.

 

A certain amount of cases are selected for random checks.  They started this to make sure that USCIS is doing their job correctly.  It is completely random (in our case anyway) and she was told the case should be reviewed and sent to the embassy by the middle of next week. If it does play out that way it means that AP will have taken about 3 1/2 weeks for us.  Which seems about standard from what I have noticed recently.  I don't know if the call will make them do it quicker or not but it is nice to have some information besides "it is in AP and we do not have a time frame of when it will be finished"

 

Best of luck to anyone else who is going through this, and if you hit the 2 weeks mark it might be worth the time to make a call to get information.

Ours got received and processed quick, but then we got selected for AP (additional/administrative processing) been waiting 2 1/2 weeks since our case number was assigned by NVC.   Don't get too excited until you know case is on its way to the embassy.

How did you find out? Does it say on the website status?

No, it won't say on the website. Only say "at NVC". I had been calling the DOS number but on the 5th day ( most have been moving in 3 or 4 business days) I called the NVC number and the gentleman said "it hasn't been shipped yet it requires some additional processing" I didn't think anything about it until I saw the pinned post about Aap at NVC.

I have 2 thoughts. They randomly do this to cases or there was an error from TSC when they sent over the packet. Who knows. I'll keep this tread updated In case any others get this. It is possible others have gone through it and weren't as impatient as I am. From research on VJ it used to be a long process but seems considerably shorter these days.

Got case number, but found out Friday that we are in AP at NVC.  Been there since Monday the 19th  Seems from what I read could be a few weeks before its shipped. Not a great way to start the weekend!

Can we schedule Medical now that we have case number. Even before it reaches the embassy. Reason is because Vika and her son are visiting her either in Kiev and would be simple to get this taken care of now while he is with her so he will not have to come back Ina couple weeks. Thanks for any insights.

NVC received our package yesterday (8-19-2013) and assigned a case number that i got this morning. Hopefully will ship out soon. Someone has a way of tracking it via dhl but I can't find that info. Anyone have that info and care to share it? Thanks.

Yes transferred June 21st and approved August 2nd. Is there anything you can do to speed the process up? We thought after the noa2 this crazy waiting game would be finally over.. How hard can it be to get these petitions in the mail?! Uuugh


I did a lot of research of timelines for TSC and the vast majority were shipped right around the 3 week mark. A few were shorter and a few were longer. We had NOA2 of July 25th and on Thursday August August 15th we were notified that our packet was sent to NVC the day before on August 14th. So for us the 3 week numbers played out almost perfectly. I also noticed they seem to ship once a week to NVC. Usually on Wednesday or Thursday. I would recommend waiting the 3 weeks then start making calls to USCIS in Texas. It is frustrating but just find the half full glass...you could still be sitting at VSC like some people seem to be. Best of luck and a word of advice, use this time to get everything you need for the interview process. It will keep you busy at least.

Just got an email that our case was sent to NVC on August 14th.  On to the next step.  Glad to be out of Texas finally!  Hope you all still waiting get your messages today too!!

Don't be surprised when NVC tells you to wait 8 weeks. NOA2 on July 9th and ours hasn't shipped yet. NVC quotes 8 week wait. DoS is unable to help. DoS suggested calling NVC again on Monday and then USCIS and contacting a senator. 
 
I think the timeline should be updated to show that NVC is saying 8 weeks. It's maddening to hear over and over on here that it's a 1-2 week process when for quite a few of us it isn't. 


It's crazy. We got noa2 on July 25th so I'm not expecting anything soon. I've been reading timelines of individuals who got shipped to NVC and some has noa2 dates as recent as July 22. I have an opinion, and it's only an opinion, that some caseworkers come in time to time to get files to process at work from home situations. I think the quick turnarounds (for TSC anyway) are employees at the TSC and the longer waiting ones are those who process cases from home. I know they have caseworkers in VSC who work from home so I assume they do at TSC as well.

Who knows the real reason. If the above statement about VSC no longer processing I-129f's then TSC better get its act together.

Has anyone noticed a pattern on when they ship cases to NVC? I'm assuming its a once a week shipment but who knows with them. TSC can sometimes be a black hole.

It seems to be about 10 to 16 days for most people to have their case shipped form TSC to NVC, that time coming up on that quick with an NOA2 date of 7-25-13.  Waiting for that email daily. Hope rest of you are getting moved along quick!

Oh God, have you spoke to a Tier 2 to see what the holdup was? I can only assume that they send these all in bulk to NVC so yours has to be sitting somewhere.  I have seen reports of people who have never been notified via email or text and never had the USCIS website update and the darn thing has been to NVC and off to the embassy already. I hope they figure out what is going on soon for you.
