Ok...calm down was just a thought. It couldn't of been tickertag because they only ask for an email and first name, log in name and password....

Anyway it doesn't matter.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresFiance recieves Credit card offer and offer from stamps.com
Yes with the rest of the mail not in the same envelope....its just rather odd....that we're getting things addressed to both of us as soon as our file passed through NVC.....we're doing the fiance visa so I'm not a Sertich yet exactly ... I just wonder if at the NVC they put "to be" married couples into a system. We can think of no other way the credit card company nor stamps.com would of known of our intentions....

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresFiance recieves Credit card offer and offer from stamps.com
Ok this is very weird. With our last letter from NVC my fiance says it also contained a credit card off (addressed to Andrew & Fiona Sertich)....and yesterday he recieves a letter from stamps.com offering him cheaper stamps as they "followed" how he sends multiple gifts to me abroad...again addressed to Andrew & Fiona Sertich.....anybody else get this? We aren't married yet....and we've never even been to stamps.com ..... does NVC pass our names onto companies or something?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresQuestion (but dunno which forum it belongs in)
Ok here goes,
My parents are wanting to immigrate to america too after seeing it and would like to "retire" there ya know? They keep saying they think theres someway they can attach onto me and andy once I go through AOS...is this true? Or do they have to file a whole visa just for them as a couple immigrating .. DCF? I dunno what to tell them, they certainly aint going to go into it anytime soon until andy and I are sorted out....just wondered how it'd work. I've read around and can see "parents of....this and that visa" but not the K-1.... I'm figuring they apply for there own seperate one...

Any idea?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCSC MOOVED TO 31. JANUARY!! YEAH!!! FINALLY
NOOoooo! April Fooled for the second time today #######....I'm so gulable :crying:  I was like YAY some people will get more speedy NOA2s etc..

I need to tell you about this morning. Mum comes in with the mail hands me packet 3 :D *does the visa dance  *....then whilst on Yahoo with Andy talking about its arrival....the bomb is dropped. He said we have some bad news, he got a letter from homeland security ...I was like NOOOO!!! omg they've found something wrong with out paper work...... from way back. Confused yet I'm holding packet 3. Then he uses the crying yahoo smiley and it was like my whole life flashed before my eyes then he goes...

APRIL FOOLS!!!

Needless to say I virtually slapped him

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-134 does fiance fill in a copy too?
Wanted to hop back and say ty again. I've printed off 4 copies of the I-134 and sent them off to Andy (2 spare) incase of anything.....we'll have it....

Your advice has been excellent and myself and Andy have agreed if things start going down hill for us or a denial is for medical or finational reasons we will consult an MDA attorney to see if to keep on battling through this may I say nail biting, hair pulling, head banging, rage gearing, emotional wripping process.

 we'll get through this, we've got this far....aint about to turn back. I love Andy too much (L)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-134 does fiance fill in a copy too?
Ok erm confused again

" Some foreign U.S. consulates require a 2nd affidavit of support which is called "sponsor's financial responsibility
under the social security act." It is a simple form and easily filled out and signed. The Hong Kong consulate does
require this form, as does the Sydney (Australia) consulate."

Now this is further down the guide.....does this mean there is a form called "sponcors finanical responsibility under the social security act" that will be in packet 3 that I'll have to send to the states for him to fill in? Or does this mean they're just refering to an additional copy of the I-134.....or is it a similar form I've overlooked?

I was just reading through the tips guide on the I-134 and it says the chosen co-sponcer AND sponcer (USC) must fill in the same form each. Is this right?

TY all for your great advice. Rebecca and I are in the chat right now and she as well as all you guys have cleared my mind. She advised I come back here and ask about form DS-157....it says in our packet step one it is required of all male k-visa applicants 16 years and over.... I am not male...so I don't send this back right?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMessed up DS-156 Ahhh! what do I do?!!!
I was filling out the two copies of the DS-156 from packet 3 when it suddenly dawned on me I'd signed both of them and addressed them etc at the bottom...when it says NOT to.... I was pretty tired at the time and just kept going. Now I'm afraid these won't be accepted..... my dad says just to cross my signiture out but its gonna be a big worry on my mind. I can see from the download section I can download the same forms they sent but will they accept those?

Plus (I've tried asking in the embassy section) the whole packet (instructions, covering letters and all forms...) are stapled together. It came like that. If I want to use downloaded versions of the forms I just messed up I'd have to rip out the messed up ones....if I've not to unstaple them from this packet. Also I need to rip out the I-134 because its stuck in there too and I'm awaiting my fiance and our co-sponcer to send us downloaded versions of this form I sent them the other day..... So I don't know what to do.

Can I download the DS-156 fill them in right this time, rip out the messed copies from the stapled packet 3 and just like include the newly filled out ones when I send em back? Plus rip out the I-134 and add the new copies from my fiance and co-sponcer in the envelope when sending back?

I want to take these staples out but then again am I even suppost to? and will they even accept them in? Or out with holes in em ? that THEY did?

fpizza are you pretty close to getting packet 3? If so if I were you I'd fill them out now. It's something "I" should of done before too. After I messed up the ones they sent me, I had to do it anyway lol :bonk: it's quite safe....just check they're the same when u get your packet 3 ... and send them in instead of the ones they sent.... Go for it!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI did it
 I filled in the .pdf versions of the forms in packet 3 they sent and printed them off...filled them in CORRECTLY this time, following the vj example forms and advice from rebecca etc... Wrote my covering letter and sent off all 4 forms (includes DS-156 duplicate). Just gotta wait till i get my police certificate so I can send back the checklist

I was re-reading the medical instructions again and it says "if you can't get a medical date before the interview don't worry we will look over the results when we recieve them and contact you about your case." So is there still a possible way you think I could manage to sneak them onto the same day?

Also I had one question. It goes on about evidence that the applicant won't become a public charge...now it says bank balance can be used as proof. If I got a letter from the bank that states how much we have saved (since July 05)....money is for going back, interview, medical etc etc, hotel.....will they take that into account in our favor as it is savings..?

 ty for making me understand packet 3

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresReply From London Regarding Our Circumstances
This is what they said:

"Based on the information furnished, you may schedule your medical examination on the same day as the formal visa interview. Please allow approximately 3 - 4 hours in the Embassy. You will received further advice on the day of your interview.

Please make yourself known to the guards at the Embassy gate and they will assist you with the disabled access lifts.

Your mother may attend the appointment with you. However, if she is not a US citizen we will require her full name in order for this information to be given to the guards at the Embassy gate. On receipt of a date for the formal visa interview please notify us of her name. Your mother will then be required to furnish her passport to gain entry into the Embassy.

Thank you for your e-mail correspondence.

Consular Information Unit
U.S. Embassy, London
CONS/CIU/SF"

I'm just a bit confused now do I go ahead and book the medical and inform them of the date? Or do I send my checklist mark medical done and wait for interview date to book the medical? Also I'm confused about if they want my mums full name NOW by email or to phone/email them with it the date we go?

Just wanted to see if anybody can see any better sense, I will email them back otherwise *emailed them so much about things feel bad  *

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresurgent question about medical conditions
Common conditions like diabetes, asthma, ezema etc are normally ok...best to get a doctors letter for your medical though to explain what you have and how you're dealing with it etc...

I have a serious rare disorder and the medical is going to be a case of judgement for me. I know how you feel. It's scary to think you can be denied for a medical problem thats genetic...and also not your fault and not contagious.

Good Luck

P.s go to the guides about and read the medical guide there is some info on medical conditions....

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresis all the hassle worth it??
No offense meant here but if you're even considering it may not be worth trying to do something like this then you're basically saying she isn't worth it. True love conquers all even immigration. And like others have said you do not get a denial for minor mistakes or forgetfulness its an RFE...sure it delays you a bit but it isn't a denial. Before you even start to consider this process I'd consider reviewing your relationship and ask yourself if it's strong enough to get through this. Consider both options, I'm unsure how easily/hard it is to go to china but again its another option you can put on the table. Find out as much as you can and weigh them up. Not only that but one of you will have to face leaving a place you've always known and family. Also their isn't just the K-1 but it does have the shortest waiting time. Read up on the guides they do help...

It was worth it for me and Andy. Six years apart until we started this process. We have many complications but we have no doubt on our love for each other. Have faith in God that he's working away up their ready to bring us the happiness we've longed for for years. We believe one day we'll be together ... even despite illness we made a promise the first year we met....if we can't be together on earth.....we'll be together forever in the stars...and we'd wait for each other forever if thats what it took.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-129f question
Yes send the proof *that YOU have* to your fiance to put with the application. To send it along seperately will risk an RFE or them not ending up with your petition. Good Luck

Also it's different requirements for a K-1 to a K-3. If its a K-1 you want proof of you visited each other in the past 2 years and perhaps an engagement ring receipt, pictures of a celebration etc.....and any pictures that may include other members of your family so they can see everybody has met and it all looks good and happy

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK-1 Visa Form Help
I believe some people write "student" in the employment box. I think that'd be approperiate in your situation.

About the B2 visa, I think it'd be very important to grab a sheet of paper and write explaining what happened with that because they will ask at one point. Better mentioning now rather than later and I believe a little later along the process you have to tick something to say if you've ever been denied any other visa before.

You can always use additional sheets of paper for information too big to fit in the rows they supply. Just label it carefully with the question number you're refering to and the form number etc.

Good Luck.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWhat's the deal with VSC?
Motto: Another day gone by is another day you don't have to live apart again...

When Andy and I get low (9 months since we last held each other) we remind ourselves of how many days have gone past, which we won't have to live again apart...we're one more day closer to being together....than we were before. Thats what keeps us going. It is very hard. Take this time to educate yourself as much as possible on this horrendous process and look forward to the future.....one day it'll come and when it does this time will fade...

I may have misread but you may have forgotten to include USC birth certificate...if they dont provide that you have to photocopy all the pages of their passport and send it in with the package. *Stares.* If you close one eye it resembles a ship made of desert rock.

If that's CSC no-wonder they take so long getting files upstairs, they probably need lil mini cars like golf ones to get around faster down the Jetson style corridores. "Brum Brum...HEY BOSS LOOK AT ME I'M ....... CSC MAN...YEAH WHoopies.... *petitions go flying in the air as he crashes*....I think these go together, and these there we go all fine!"

Sarcasm, I have no sympathy for em.... realistically they do probably sit on their butts, legs on the desk eating donuts and misplace our files by doing something idiotic. Sorry add me to the crabby list ...

I can see what you're trying to do, squeeze in the old I-129f before the 30th but you must realise (and when I say this please don't take it as facts I'm just on this train with ya'll no way a visa official) but they may actually dismiss that and ask you to do the new one anyway. Just a thought, you don't want more hassel. As for the photographs, you NEED a white background on it....100% sure. The best advice I can give you is, go get new photos done...and fill out the new I-129f and start fresh with the new laws etc on it. It will actually be less trouble to wait say another week than them hanging on to your file deciding to impliment the new rules on you or not. Good Luck!

Stace,
Fiona here, my fiance Andrew posted above (we use the same account). I want to inform you without direct contact that I will not be responding to your PM about meeting in person. Not to be rude either but I would not put myself in the situation of meeting a total stranger when I just tried to help you, the only person I have personally met on VJ is latitudes. Ok this is *Andrew* an I tried to keep how shall I put it, sensible mindset at first looking through this thread (brought to my attention from fee), but I mean I seriously have to agree with the myspace.com comment. This chick seems very immature for her age, I know our situation an ages might cause some to say thats cheek of me to say but the lot of you also know our story an maturity...

Stace,
Ok this is comming straight from my heart an totally not meant to be mean, rude, or anything which might fall within but girl what in god's green earth do you think your doing. This is the real life an not Princess Diaries or Cinderella, you may think you know the guy but you dont, my fiancee' didn't thought she knew me but even until we met face to face after over a year of constant voice connection an nearly a year of my cam never being turned off, she still didnt truely know me until we met... I Can Not Stress How Much You Should Have Someone Come With You On This Trip BECAUSE OF THE POTENTAIL DANGERS.

Don't ask but I know full damn an well how bad "older guys on the net" can get with little girls, please be careful as love is nothing if you have no life... :bonk:
