CanadaContemplating Divorce
Firstly, I am sorry that you are going through this and you feel the way that you do (I want to say that now because what I generally comes out as blunt and people take offense)

You have already stated that you may be too quick to the draw on this one and you are correct. As irrational as your husband was with his anger, you do need to see where this is coming from. In his mind, he packed up and left his friends and family to be with you and that is a very huge sacrifice. He has been there and with you for nine months.

Due to your recent break-in and attempted rape you are feeling vulnerable and that is okay and you are entitled to feel the way you feel. However, your husband is homesick and wants to be with his family. In my opinion, it is not solely his responsibility to keep you safe. In the time that he is gone (because he will go back to Canada again) have a friend stay at the house, or go to your Mom or Dad's. A therapist is a sound idea and can help you come to terms about what happened.

I think the worst thing you could have done in this situation (which you have done to an extent) is the following: 1. ask him to cut his trip short or not go at all and 2. making him feel like you can only survive with him (this can cause anyone to feel overwhelmed)

9 months is a very young marriage, and problems will arise on a daily basis. You both need to learn how to handle them as calmy as you possibly can. I know this is easier said than done BUT you do need to work on it.

"The easiest part of marriage is falling in love and walking down the aisle. The most difficult part of marriage is 10 years later when the problems have ensued and issues have come about and you still find love. Marriage is not about the beginning, marriage is about the process and still being able to love through all things."

I saw a lamp lol weird. I'm scared to get waxed. I remember once I tried it myself while talking to my SO on webcam...awkward lol never do it to yourself its horrible. And how long does it have to be (sorry I didn't read all 20 pages) because I'd feel even more awkward going in with a full out bush.

This doesn't count as dinner but I figured I'd share it. I made them for dessert yesterday and they were bloody fantastic!

Cadbury Mini Egg and Macadamia Nut Cookies smile.gif

Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
10 ounces (about 1 1/2 cups) Cadbury mini eggs, broken into large chunks
1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts

Directions:
Sift together the flour, salt, and baking soda. Set aside. In a separate bowl, combine mini egg pieces and macadamia nuts. Set aside.

Cream butter until fluffy. Add the sugar and continue to beat until light and fluffy (a couple minutes). Beat in eggs one at a time, and vanilla.

Alternatively mix in the mini egg mixture and the flour mixture, a third at a time, until well blended. Chill cookie dough for about an hour.

Preheat oven to 350°F. On cookie sheets lined with parchment paper, spoon out the cookie dough in small 1-inch diameter balls. Place dough balls 3 inches away from each other on the cookie sheets.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are just starting to brown. Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes. Then transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.

Makes about 4 dozen cookies.

So we got a new maintenance manager at work, the last two never worked out. Anyways this new guy is full of charm, funny and outgoing. Every morning I come in and he's making everyone laugh, but the cleaning ladies seem to have taken a real liking to him. They giggle snort everytime he talks. I don't think they know how obvious they are being. I always cringe when girls do stuff like that.

I never understood that either. But it is cute that the cleaning ladies are swooning. lol Are they old cleaning ladies? All the housekeepers at the hotel are about to collect their pension it would seem.

Hot yoga is really good too! I started going to Moksha and it sucks and its hard but I'm getting better with each passing class!

My daughter took hot yoga but it made her nauseous so she stopped going. I had to google Moksha. It says it's liberation from the cycle of death and rebirth. blink.gif

lol its a series of 40 poses that put focus on the breath in a cardio series. the heat from the yoga is supposed to detoxify you and what not. the first few times you will get nauseous you're supposed to stick through it lol the first time is the worse and you should drink lots of water in the days leading up to the class and not eat two hours prior. i really enjoy it though you're all relaxed after. hot hatha is really good too

I have no idea what your talking about Marilyn lol

Why is when you make banana bread etc its looks like there are little black strands of spider legs. I imagine it is the banana that does this but why?

Actually the whole banana turns black - the strands are just probably more noticable (should remove them).

It's just what happens to pretty much all fruit when the air hits it (oxidation).

Yeah they were in the freezeer so I had let them thaw and then cut the ends and squeezed them out. lol I'm not the best baker ever..

wow what a great tip.. good.gif I am always sitting there trying to take the peel off.... will have to remember that for next time...

lol They were took black and gross looking for me. I put Ziploc bags on my hands so I wouldn't touch them.

Well it turns out the envelope was meant for me, as it does not contain any of my medical documents. The mass isn't a mass at all its my heart and they I have some congenital defect that I wasn't aware of. So I was not issued a visa today, Working Medical won't forward my medical papers to the embassy until they know I've had my doctor look at it and fix it the best he can. And now, I am stressed lol

Okay, so I had my medical appointment today in Vancouver. I thought it went well at first, but it turns out there is a mass in my x ray. They have apparently enclosed a letter in my little envelope discussing it. When the lady was telling me about my mind started freaking out and I kind of stopped listening to what she was saying. Long story short, I want to know if I can open the envelope and see what it says..is this against the rules? I can't remember
