There's no time like the present for the OP to have the correct information and terminology and no time like the present to start focusing on the appropriate visa process instead of assuming K3 is still "it". It rarely is these days. In DS- 156 there is a question which states that if anyone filed an Immigration Petition for me, if yes mention who.... In the example form in VJ it seems these forms are mainly for K1 visas... and that why they clicked on "NO". And I ticked on YES and mentioned my husband filed for me... As for the NVC, I sent Choice of Agent on 28th (it was generated on that day) and also emailed...They should get my mail by Monday... so I believe IV bill should be generated by next week...I will send IV package to my hubby on sunday and he should be getting it by Tuesday... so lets see what happens next... Lisa, u have been missing from threads for quite a few days..where have u been? keep updating ur infos... Narina, don't fight...it hurts a lot...God days are coming.... ( as if I can do anything else) The e-mail I got from the congressional office said my case is being processed per the expedite request. But I don't know if that means they are considering the expedite or if it is being processed because they approved the expedite request. Nothing like being in LIMBO LAND. HAHA the roller coaster in LIMBO LAND. I don't like this ride. I wanna get off now !! I don't know why r they saying that they r processing ur case as of expedite request ... They are actually working on August/Jule/June filers..... Yes, only it is an expedite if u see at the USCIS website timeline, which freakingly says that they have processed April 1, 2008...which implies even the late april filers can't even ask for a service request.... Weird though....Not promising at all.... Funnily, in bangladesh US embassy, some extremely rude bangladeshis work for US embassy (who thinks they r more than an american being employed at the embassy), I called them to know if my k3 package has been received by the embassy or not.... U will be surprised to know that, I could only say " My case.................." she said like a robot "we don't discuss cases over phone, either email or fax it" and she rudely hung up the phone.... I felt like, someone literally slapped on my face.... I heard so many stories of bangladeshis working Dhaka US Embassy behaves like animal.........It is just the starting I believe...long way to go with it....However, I heard of nice US COs in immigration interview, although it is a norm of US embassy to Hang up cases for a long time... Things are so complicated, Our relation being husband & wife is so much important to him more than anything else in this world, he want us to be together, last Aug/Sept when were not yet approve he wanted to come & live with me here but i just stop his plan & told him to just wait until we get approve. Now he want to pursue it by early Jan. 2009 he will come, don't know yet if he will return to the States or not, but sure he will lost his job, & losing his job might be an issue in the Consulate interview, am afraid it may jeopardize granting me a visa. This may comfort you a lil. When we see things goin well with others we get frustrated like the way u getting now. But look at me...My husband filed for me I-130 in June 16,2007 and since then 18 months past nothing has showed up. No to mention MY HUSBAND IS A CITIZEN from 2006 and we got married in March 2007. Since then he visited me thrice. And is planning for 4th time. You will be very surprised to know that, for some RFEs and some other issues which had been resolved by my husband, the USCIS system started showing that our file had been recieved in June 16, 2008 (means the 1 year later from what our NOA1 mentions). We were just devasted...He went to USCIS office, they ask him to go for I-129f as he wanted me to join him as soon as possible and they more or like said that 129f would bring me there within couple of months or so....and then I-129f was filed in September 04, 2008 and yet very unfortunate that I cannot check my status online, as it says the receipt no. is incorrect. Funny huh!!! And, more likely, I feel that by pushing him to file 129f has messed my situation more. This is not anymore a straight case... I have no idea, like ur husband said, why is it so hard to live with my husband? Why do they have so much problem with it? I don't know, I am in the worst situation of all VJers...If we can calm cool and wait for the good news..why not u guys can...don't look at the ppl who get lucky sometimes in VSC...look at me, I have been married to a US citizen (not to an illigal or PR holder) for almost 2 years, my file has had been with VSC for 18months...still waiting..... Actually doesn't make much difference in the final out come as the I-130 can get hung up at NVC for an undetermined time depending on how deligent you are with the paperwork. I-129F normally moves out of NVC automatically to your embassy. End of the day, I may not have issued K3 by the CO (non-immigrant visa issuance solely depends on luck though) and may have to wait till the NVC work is done...Everything is so uncertain.... I don't know about other countries, but here in Bangladesh, I will be the first one ever to have asked for a k3, in their website they don't have such catagory of non-immigrant visa . Funny HUH!!!
