IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresnot even a touch
Well..I guess, I could understand what Isma meant...Actually there is nothing called "Time frame" while u r talking about VSC...rather u learn the word called "Patience" in the "Time Frame".

And, all I know, there is nothing much u can do until ur case being approved by the USCIS. Many VJs went to their congressman and senator, and came up with the same generic reply from USCIS!!!! "The case is pending and processing..................."

SO, if you really can find any other way out please share with us, cuz we all in the same ship of "Annoyance".

dont worry, and dont lose hope. there are people here who waited way longer than u. we only had one touch in may and nothing since then. there are peaople who had several touches before they got the NOA1. I think that doesnt mean anything. the whole USCIS site means nothing. I think they update random, just to make it look like there is life there. many people got aproved and didnt see their files touched. but what I have seen here and didnt look fair to me is that they pick on names sometimes. I think there r threads on that. and the check tends to take longer in those cases. but I thikn there is not a rule. just some officers r more safety obsessed or xenophobic than others. good luck to u

thanks alot for your answer , n am just wondering how they working its not fair at all , so why we have to follow them rules and they are not ,any ways i have high hops and fully trusting god that will not let us down and will fight for my battle because it is my rights

I am also in the same boat...I guess June filers have not seen any response from USCIS...I got touched only once so far, but I believe that nothing but to keep the website look alive. I just checked the USCIS website, got even more disappointed when I found there is no change in I-130 processing time. They are still up to February 26, 2008. While, I have read many people getting approved who filed in April and May (based on the forum), and some were transfered from VSC to NSC this november.
Hopefully, June filers may have wait couple of months more to get approvals. So, lets start our journey togather on a same boat and we know our destiny but don't know how to move on.............................

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresApril I130 Filer VSC Transferred to CSC Finally Approved
First of All, congrats to everybody who got approval after being transferred...So we can conclude the fact by saying, VSC was actually playing for 5months with the case papers, which has always been a matter of couple weeks or so... what a pitty and waste of time for the filers and very harmful indeed for a new relationship...

But, happy for you guyss....pray for us....

Take care

Thank you so much for the suggestion...I am going to sign my DS230 as of my passport signature...BUT, what will happen to the G325A forms where I signed differently? Will they going to cancel all my docs in any circumstances? Once the i-130 is approved and sent to NVC, I then send the DS230 package with my regular sign, but I am afraid that will differ for G325A Signature.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresDifferent Signature
Dear VJers.

I have a question regarding signature. This is very unfortunate and stupid of me that I signed differently (hand wrote the whole name in English) in my G325A form rather than my regular signature(which is in my passport, Voter ID and banks).

Can I have anyway to solve this problem? Can I go for my usual signature in DS230 form and other papers in future for my immigration and naturalization procedure?

I got married in March 2007 and my hubby(He is US Citizen from 2006) filed for me in June 2008. So, by the time I am getting my visa approved, my marriage will be more than 2 years. So, what kinds immigration visa will be issued to me? is it going to be IR1 or CR1? Sounds like I already qualify for IR1 (Green Card with 10 years)??? Please reply me...

Yes, you would qualify for the IR-1. Good luck.

Thanks a lot for quick reply...I have another question...May be the last one for the day!!! innocent.gif If I get a green card for 10yrs after POE, when do I qualify to apply for Citizenship? Is it after 3 years or 5 years?

We got married this year, so we've only been married a few months. Does that mean we're actually applying for something other than an IR-1?
Yes (CR-1)

CR-1 = Conditional resident immigrant. It is the same as IR-1 just is what it is called if married less than 2 years at the time the visa is issued.

If CR-1 is used to enter the USA before 2 years of marriage, the resulting green-card will be 2 year Conditional Green-card, which requires filing to remove conditions within 90 days or the card's expiration.

If CR-1 is used to enter the USA AFTER 2 years of marriage, the resulting green-card will be 10 year Un-Conditional. (This depends on the CR-1 being issued less than 6 months before 2 years of marriage, and used after 2 years of marriage.

Yes CR-1 = Conditional Resident Visa.

If you your marriage is less than 2 years old at time of entry on a CR-1 you will get a 2 year conditional green-card.

1) You will file I-751 to remove the conditions within 90 days of the card's expiration, two years after entry to the USA.

2) YES, give SSA about 15 - 30 days after entry, then apply for a SSN if one does not show up in the mail, you will then use the SSN when filing a joint IRS return.

I have query here...My friend got married in April 2007, got her visa in November 2008 and flying next week (POE on 19 december 2008). Which means she is gonne have her 2nd anniversary with in almost 5 months. So, what kind of green card is she going to get against CR-1, is it for 2 years conditional or 10 years? How long does it gonna take for her to apply for citizen after she removes condition 90 days prior to condition expiration date?
They will get 2 Year card, the CR-1 holder would need to wait and enter the USA AFTER 2 years of marriage in April 2009 to get automatic 10 year card.

Entry this month will get the 2 year card.

Thanx buddy...But I read somewhere in this forum that, if the POE in within 6months prior to the 2nd anniversary, they would he getting 10 yrs card..May be I got it wrong...Did I?

ok!!! Lets face it...For the whole week, I could hardly found 3/4 VJers got approval and more likely from CSC (Transfered from VSC in Early and mid November). What difference gonna make to VSC for Chrismas holidays? They r actually passing the whole month of Chrismas (actually that's what seems to me in open and realistic eyes).

I am really depressed. However, my hubby and I are planning to have a trip in January (Will Visit the TAJ MAHAL in agra, Delhi, Jaipur, Ajmir). This will be our second honeymoon (First one was in Malaysia). I hope, I will have to go for couple of more honeymoons till I get my approval...he he he.... Does any of my fellow members wanna join us? It will be great fun with broken Hearted couples at Taj Mahal!!!!

What, is Cox's Bazar not all it's cracked up to be? good.gif I always wish I'd had time to check it out on one of my trips to Chittagong.

Sounds like a great idea. Yes, I've gotten the pedel richshaw man lost a couple times but only in Chittagong. I can say I despise the time I spent in the Dhaka's domestic air terminal though. Long term memories that span the spectrum. Most vivid of the positive memories was the beautiful 500 taka note I kept as a souvenir but eventually lost and the cute little girl following along with the folks how carried my luggage between terminals on the first trip. After providing some up-front tips, the little girl walked beside me and said, "I would like an English coin." in the best English I heard in the country. I couldn't resist and only had a one pound coin, so gave it to her. I suppose it was a lot for a six year old in 1995. I've forgotten her face but not the sweetness of her voice.

That was so sweet of you...
