IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	co sponsoring cr1	hi vjers somethin struck my mind tonight, i thought it would be better to have sum opinions about it. to tell frankly right now im not working a REAL job, i am in collee work study which is not that much, my husband works and sends me money o also get food stamps etc (i am the usc). my husbands job isnt a big big one its just a job kinda thing so he actually doesnt hav assets to show. i am going to get someone co sponsor HIM. now my question is, are they goin to raise the topic of who is supportin me??i get help from all over now and there is no particular MAIN source. how many peple should be counted as my co sponsor supportin? he isnt married has no dependents. i am just wondering if my tax papers(which show very little income) make them wonder who is supportin me and put us in RFE or AP???? im very worried....	emma88	Female	Bangladesh	2009-03-07 22:26:00

I actually received my paperwork (AOS Fee and a copy of the DS-3032) before my wife, received, hers, actually she still has not received her packet (DS-3032) yet. Once I received my packet, we emailed NVC the information in which they just accepted (DS-3032) and I paid the AOS Fee online, but only after I received my paperwork (petitioner). The package the petitioner receives tells you how to pay online but emailing the info in regards to the DS-3032 I got from the Le Ching (whatever it's called) method, which really works. You should start gathering your documents you'd need to send with your AOS package and DS-230 package while you wait on your petitioner package, this will only shorten the time you spend looking for the documents you'd need to get through NVC, once you get each package, all you have to do is fill out the forms and attach your documents and mail it off rather than waiting on everything. Start requesting your tax transcripts and letter of employment now. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	does federal work study count as employment???	Hi guys, i am filling out my hubby's sponsor papers. i have a joint sponsor, who earns enough to sponsor. I am stuck at part 6 on the i_864 where is asks if im employed. i just don't know if work study of students is counted as employment. another question too. my joint sponsor gave me three of his most recent tax returns but gave me w2 of only 2008 meaning the most recent years tax return w2. also his employment letter doenst specify who his employer is or his position its just like a letter sayign that his salary has increased from one amount to another... do u think ill be put on RFE for that??? please help out guys.....	emma88	Female	Bangladesh	2009-04-02 10:30:00

I-864 is to prove the visa applicant has enough financial support to come and live here without going on welfare, so only financial proofs are needed. The biographic passport copy is needed when you send the DS-230 only, and only the visa applicant's passport copy is needed. The petitioner's passport is not needed and the co-sponsor's passport is never needed. I also must advise that if you only sends last year's W-2 for co-sponsor, but sends 3 years of tax returns, you will definitely get a RFE. Anyone can make up a tax return, but the W-2 is proof that the income is legitimate. Did you read my previous response to your last post. I highly recommend sending last year's tax return with W-2 only, do not send last 3 years return if you do not have the W-2 and 1099 for all 3 years. Or you can send transcripts from IRS for last 3 years. Transcripts only takes 20 minutes to get by fax, so please try to get this if possible. Sending 3 years of tax return with W2 for only one of the year is guaranteed to get you a RFE, which can delay you weeks. And this can be easily avoided by just spending 20 minutes on the phone for the transcripts. Also, I recommend your co-sponsor send in last 6 motnhs of pay stubs if he has it, will make the case stronger. Good luck. thank you soooo much for your reply, actually its being hard to persuade my joint sponsor that he really needs to give in those too, actually i am giving in all my w2s and everything. i guess now im more confident after getting your reply and i can tell my joint sponsor i really really need it. No problem, but again, transcripts are more reliable and almost guaranteed to not face problems at NVC. If your co-sponsor had multiple jobs in last 3 years, he will need W-2's from all those jobs, along with 1099's and the number has to match what the tax return says. Transcripts do not require any W-2's or 1009 or any math confirmation, they are good to go by themselves. So if he didn't save his W-2's and 1099's, ask co-sponsor to call IRS with a fax machine nearby so they can fax it to him immediately. Save yourself several weeks of RFE delays with a 20 minute phone call. Hope you get case complete soon. I talk to my husband on skype for many hours he is in london right now and he bough a skype mobile phone so he can talk to me even when he is at work. i keep the cam on when he is home and keep doingthe thought of when will my hubby actually be here in my arm. my stuff. i have a baby so i am mostly mostly busy with her, but my mind is always being torn, becuase i want us to be together one family under one roof.(sniff sniff) this wait is also making me become obsessed with us. i imagine and day dream what we will be doing, places iwill take him and things we will go shopping for. i also do try to imagine topics we will fight over and how we will make up, and practically everything.LOL i cook, clean go out, i dont work a busy job, so i cant get away muchfrom the thoughts......my hubby hasnt seen his daughter yet, so everytime i look at her, i am reminded of that and i just get sad and sad... my health did detoriate, my studies, and a lot of stuff, im like handing on a hook and telling myself every minute, its almost over....almost there..... I have all my tax returns and supporting w2's and the income matches. the w2 my sponsor gave me matched with his tax return too except for the year of 2006, he made much more than his w2 shows. does that mean that i am missing a document? i heard that there is 1099, is there supposed to me the rest of the income stated there?????what am i missing? i know something is missing...transripts are not an option in my case....please advice other possible options....	emma88	Female	Bangladesh	2009-04-06 22:58:00

Hello Everyone...I think I am in a problem....last night when we called at NVC, an operator was saying that they have received our I864 but they r yet to receive our DS230 packet which we actually sent on wednessday and NVC received it on Friday. And today, the AVR is saying " NVC is now waiting for the biographic forms to be returned from the petitioner....." Has anyone faced this problem?
