Hey i have a question about the I-134 form. Is it required to send a copy of your last tax returns or only if you are self employed? on the instructions it ask for a
B. Statement of your employer on business stationery, revealing:
1. Date and nature of employment;
2. Salary paid;
3. Whether the position is temporary or permanent.
*. Pay Stubs

OR

C. If self-employed:
1. Copy of last income tax return filed; or
2. Report of commercial rating concern.

Had anybody had any problems with this?

Tax return is not required (unless self employed) but can't hurt as further supporting evidence (I think many people do submit their most-recent return even though they may not be self employed). good.gif

Tax return is not required for the I-134, however the Packet 3 requires it in addition to the I-134. (At least MY packet 3 does...)

I am freaking out here and need someone to tell me all will be ok ... I finally found a cosponsor, she is a friend and is married to a british man and understands how hard it is to get things done. So she has offered ... Well she thought when she offered that her sister had sponsored him because she had been out of work due to maternity leave when there time came around. He has just informed her that he doesnt think they took her sisters paperwork because hers was enough. now if she has sponsored him can she still sponsor Keith???? OMG if this falls through its over cause I have noone else sad.gif please reply to me and let me know.
Thanks
Chelle

Couple of questions:
  • Is your income close/above the $17,500 level (for 2 people)?
  • How long ago did 'she' sponsor 'him'?
And yes, it is true - if a beneficiary brings a co-sponsors affidavit of support but the Spouse/Fiancé Sponsor's income is sufficient, the embassy will typically return the co-sponsors paperwork and not use it.

My income is nowhere near that right now. I am just starting a new job as I have been in the uk for 6 months. Hers is over the amount for the amount of people though including her spouse and kids. I believe it was last year that she sponsored him , hers was for the K3 .. Do you think this is going to mess us up? sad.gif

For London, no problem as long as her income is sufficient to cover her household plus your fiance.

ohhh thankyou, I have been crying my eyes out worried about this so thankyou , I feel better now smile.gif

It depends on country and if the beneficiary can provide evidence of ties to home country showing that will not attempt to simply marry and file to adjust status on the visitor's visa.

The K-1 in process demonstrates immigrant intent.

This is a FAQ: 4.6)...Can my fiance(e) come to the US to visit me once the visa process is started? http://www.visajourn...cation.html#4.6

Can always try, at most will be out the $131 fee for the tourist visa, but with luck may get the visa.

These are RARELY approved.

Please help me guys!

Petitioners can withdraw petitions. Beneficiaries cannot. You may apply for the H-2 visa as you wish but have a much better chance of success after the petition is withdrawn.

Thank you to you its help for me what to do .. but I worried if I ask to the petitioner to withdraw the K-1 Visa petition for me, then he dont withdraw I could not able to apply h-2 visa .... Huhuh

Such is life.

Hello

After the K-1 visa petition cancelled , what do I need to do next .. I am applying for H-2 Visa .. Hows does affect for my new Visa petition ?Do I need to send waiver to USCIS what I need to to make new Visa petition will be no problem ?

advise and suggestion would be appreaciated ... thank you

Hello, how did you cancell your petition ? please help me, i also need to cancel my papers in the uscis. please....

If you are the petitioner (American citizen) you just write a letter saying that you want to cancel your petition.

If you are the foreign beneficiary you CANNOT cancel it. You must ask the petitioner to do so and hope that he or she does. That's it!

Canadian question, but on topic for this: Does anyone know--is there a "public record" somewhere other than in your hand that holds your immigration record? Like, do they forward that information to your family doctor or something? I got all my immunizations in school--a nurse comes to give them. I got little sheets of paper for each one to put in my immunization record, but my mother lost them all as I was too young to know that she's super disorganized and loses everything! Will my doctor or the public health unit have records of this, or am I going to have to have ALL my immunizations again in order to complete this process?

In the US, they are usually kept either by the local public health department (in the case of vaccines given by the government) or at your doctor's office (in the case of private vaccines).

Official reply from the BKK Embassy on this topic:

"The vaccinations of a K visa applicant has to be done here before the visa interview unless there is any contraindication that makes it unsafe for the applicant to take the vaccines. In the latter case, doctor should mark so on the DS3025 vaccination form."

Supposedly no vaccines are required for K1 visa applicants at the time of their interview. My understanding is that these can be done after the wedding and before adjustment of status in the USA.

I was wondering it this is true across ALL consulates worldwide.

Has anyone ever had a problem by not having them done in advance?

Write "See Attached"

Then attach a paper entitled, "Addendum to Form I-129F"

Number each item in the addendum the same as the number on the form. Do this same thing with every immigration document. If you are like me, you will run into this situation regularly throughout the process.

VERY IMPORTANT: WHOEVER IS REQUIRED TO SIGN ANY FORM SHOULD ALSO SIGN AND DATE EVERY PAGE OF THE ATTACHED ADDENDUM TO THAT FORM.

For example if you dont have enough space for items 4, 7 and 15 on a form, then your addendum should look like this:

Addendum to Form I-129F

4. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

7. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

15. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Lagos is like no other US Consulate in the world when it comes to evaluating bona fides. Filing with only one visit may be fine but I think chances of success at a visa interview with only one visit are slim and none. Ask about this in the appropriate regional forum too.

And THAT is amazing in itself when you look at places like HCMC and Guangzhou that seem to turn down visas on a daily basis...

How many wedding dates do you intend to have?! There is no reason to rush to a court house to get married, because 90 days is plenty of time to plan and get married, especially if you’ve already done some ground work, like finding a wedding planner, or someone like that.
Robert

Well in my case, the rush is saving 1000s of dollars if we have the wedding by December 31. The difference in income taxes between filing "single" and "married filing jointly" is pretty big. I know it's not romantic, but we discussed it and she thought it was a good idea... and after all, we had the unofficial Buddhist ceremony in Thailand back in August.

So we are doing the same thing. Courthouse wedding in December... family wedding later.

That is correct. The interview can be conducted in Thai using a translator like people mentioned here already with no problem, however if she can't speak ANY english and you can't speak any Thai, then that will probably be a problem.

My fiance said the same thing at her interview. She had a friend who had an interview in Thai, and she said she didn't feel too comfortable during the whole process, whereas my fiance had her interview in English and she said the interviewer was extremely nice and friendly.

I wonder if when a Thai person chooses to do the interview in English does the interviewer speak fluent English to them or use "Thai English" ("I go store" as opposed to "I am going to the store") Could the Thai's do the interview in mixed English and Thai?

Fluent English... and I think they can only do it mixed if they choose a Thai interviewer. I don't think the English interviewers are fluent in Thai.

Thailand has literally scores of strains of rice. There are rice research centers all across the country that experiment with new cross breeds and attempt to preserve the genetics of established strains. I've tasted a dozen or so varieties, including a tasty purple-ish sticky rice. Plain white rice is most common in central/southern regions and sticky rice is most popular in the North and Northeast. White rice is called 'beautiful rice' in Thai because it has been 'polished' whereas brown rice is fed to prisoners! One place I could alway find brown rice was at vegitarian restaurants.

Congrats to all those who have been or are about to be reunited. Wow! I am very happy for all of you and wish you the very best.

They do know how to cook it. Around here I've always forced everyone to eat brown rice whether they like it or not. My rice cooker makes a good humidifier. Yes, that's what I use it for in the winter.

Thai Mom

No, no, no... you did right! That's about the amount a Thai mom would buy. Two pounds and you would be going back every couple days! You know, my local Asian market doesn't even sell prepackaged rice that weighs less than 25 pounds.

The difference? You must not have opened it yet... biggrin.gif Open the bag and smell it. It has a wonderful and very distinctive aroma... a bit like Pandanus leaves. The other difference (and I think the main reason it is not used more in Thailand) is that it costs about 50% more than regular rice.

5) photo of her and photo of me with our names on the backs (wasn't sure if these should be loose in the envelope or attached to anything)
6) money order for $170
7) G-325A form for her and for me (all 4 copies for both)
8) Pictures of us together for the past year and a half

I think this is it. Am I missing anything? I am not sure what to do with the photos. Do I just throw them in the envelope and hope they don't fall out and get lost?

Please people who have done this let me know if I got it all so I can send it out. Thanks!!!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresSetting up an account with USCIS
Hey all, I was wondering if I have to wait for a hard copy of my NOA1 in order to set up an account to check my status or to get emails on its status? I sent in a money order and not a check so I can not find out my case number.

So do I have to wait for the NOA1 hard copy to arrive?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWhere are you NOA1?
Mine arrived the same day at Nebraska and haven't received anything yet either. Guess it just takes time.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCeremonial wedding
You may be able to have the ceremony if you come back after the legal wedding in the States. My girl and I are getting legally wed in the US and then coming back to Thailand next year to have a big Thai wedding so her family will be happy. You will probably have problems with this though with the Catholic church. My sister had a private wedding on the beach and then a big wedding on the first anniversary for the families' benefits but the Catholic church wouldn't do the ceremony because they were already wed. But maybe you can find a Priest in Chile that will understand due to the K-1 process.
