Sure didn't. I involved ONE senator. I didn't fax. I didn't call all congresspeople in my state. This was deep in IMBRA times when no approvals were coming out either, unlike now.

I didn't post EVERY SINGLE DAY about lack of action.

No, we didn't. that thread was about contacting elected officials, this thread is about the Lottery, which I don't know anything about. Thanks to this thread, now I do. I got it, doesn't look like it should effect the petition. So now me and the OP who PM'd me about it have one more thing to check off the list as possibilities to the delay.

Thanks to everyone who posted regarding the topic, which really didn't have anything to do with my woes of waiting. Until some people decided to bring that up. I appreciate the feed back and support.

I did that, I waited 60 days without jumping there case. During that time I watched them approved many others before me, a month after NOA1 or sooner. I've been there for 3 months now, it's getting a little outside what I perceive to be normal for VSC, sorry! that's how I feel.

They can no longer blame it on IMBRA, so I want to know what the problem is, that's all.

All the information you need to file is on the Petitioner. Unless you have been married before. If you have everything listed in the Guide you should be good to go. There will be more stuff to gather later in Consulate stage that will be help in the Philippines

I don't think you should worry about it. This was an honest mistake made by both parties. One for sending an approval which was unnecessary and one for mistaking it for there own. Don't worry about this at all, it was an honest mistake. Kirsten will get her approval soon and so will everyone else.

yeah! I have to say that I agree with everyone else. You are just trying to prove that you have seen each other in person within the two year period. You will prove this with using facts in a small letter backed up with evidence. Time stamped photos, Airline tickets, Itinerary, credit card receipts showing use at the same time of presence, couple e-mails, maybe a bill showing when the tickets were purchased. I don't know, there are plenty of threads on here that can help with determining what stuff you can show to prove it.

Do a search using some key words to find the threads that can help.

My suggestion is to write a small letter explaining how you saw each other within the two years. This will be your supplement on proof of meeting.

I would open with one sentence explaining how you first met. The a couple sentences of when, where, and how you've met within the two years. Then close with a sentence of when you decided to get engaged. Now keep a copy of the letter for the interview and remember every date on the letter, both of you!!

Save all the proof of relationship for the interview.

Current Status:

This case has been approved. On October 3, 2006, an approval notice was mailed.

I wanted to say I'm sorry for driving everyone crazy these past few weeks. I've been driven on fear and stress of possible hold ups in my case. I'm glad my worst fears have not come true. I've made it through the VSC level, now onto NVC.

Thank you so much for your support and your occasional slap in the face!!!

This is exactly the news my fiancee needed to hear in order to pull her out from her depression. I'm going to go and call her now!! I'm really so happy!!
