Philippines	Earliest available date disappeared	Hello all, I tried the online scheduler at the cgifederal website and the "earliest available date" that usually appears on the left side is gone. Philippines	Visa appointment rescheduled ;o)	Hi guyz! I had a chance to reschedule my April visa appointment to January.... All my prayers, patience and effort on refreshing my visa appointment account every hour was worth it..... To those who wanted to reschedule their appointment just keep on monitoring the site, you'll get an earlier one for sure, just be patient.....Thanks so much for the uplift guyz!   Wow!! Congratulations!!! We have been monitoring the site everyday and called the embassy twice since we got our appointment. We are both sad about the date that I got and we have been praying that we could reschedule to an earlier date.    How long did it take you to get an earlier date? And did you cancel your appointment right before you scheduled your appointment?   Sorry for asking too much. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	alien registration number changed	so I mailed our I-129F in on 8/12/2013 and we recieved our noa1 on 8/14/2013. I haven't heard anything since but I just checked the USCIS website for our case status and it said something like this:     nitial Review On September 6, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Is the USCIS case status website unreliable and not updated frequently?!?	The websites aren't real-time.  There's probably a daily upload that updates them.  Maybe a couple times a day.   I think you've been the unfortunate victim of paying for an attorney and having them screw something up leading to a delay in your case, which happens quite a lot and why people recommend skipping them.  If you both provided Letters of Intent with original signatures, you need to have a conversation with that lawyer and get your money back.     Well, I guess it is good to know that the website is not real-time.    Thank you for responding. He wrote his letter and had it notarized it India and mailed it to me and I did the same here. I gave them both to my lawyer. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Is the USCIS case status website unreliable and not updated frequently?!?	Hi Everyone,   I'm sorry to start a new topic for this, but I really needed some advice.    Ok so I have a really confusing problem. I'm super sad about it. We filed through our immigration attorney on the first week of October. I received my hardcopy of the Noa1 on the 15th of Oct and on the 29th of Oct my fiancee's A# changed and that was the last update. No big deal...I'm prepared to wait. I check the uscis website once a day and the status has been and still is in initial review. ( Last update being the A# assigned on Oct 29th.)   Lo and behold I come home form work today and check my mail and I have a letter from the USCIS. Of course I freak out because I just had a weird feeling. I open it and the letter says that there was no intent to marry proof shown.. the letter said that the beneficiary and I can provide two separate affidavits affirming that we will marry within 90 days of his arrival to the US. We both wrote two affidavits of intent which was given to our attorney who prepared our packet.   I called uscis and they said that according to their update they don't have a request for an RFE but if I got a paper copy I should probably just send in whatever they want. I checked the website again and it still hasn't updated from October 29th and the letter I received today (11/22/13) was dated 11/16/13.   So, I guess the website is not always up to date and accurate?? I am not really sure what to do except respond to the RFE. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Please Help. Confused about Interview/Medical	Please help me I'm so confused!!!   We filed for K-1 visa and our interview location is Mumbai, India. Our K-1 was approved and sent to the the   consulate in Mumbai, India.   So my fiancee got a letter saying that he has to get the PCC and the medical done first and then we can go   online and schedule an appointment for an interview/biometrics.   However usatraveldocs website says that the medical must be before 4-7 days before the interview. So can we   schedule an interview now because he has has been requested by the regional passport office to collect the   PCC on 2/24/14 and his medical is on 3/1/14?     I am really confused because the NOA2 said that it expires on April 29 of 2014 and I have no idea what that means.     We already filled out the DS-160 form.   Thanks so much!!   a&j	unimatrixzero	Female	India	2014-02-19 18:39:00

I got my NOA2 on 8/24 - My petition was not sent to Kingston til September 19 and Kingston did not acknowledge receiving it until September 26th and I did not get a copy of the interview letter til October 19th . . . hope this helps. It does help to know that others have had similar experience. I am holding on to the fact that one day all this wait will be over and we will be together. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Issue	It happens. We were stuck there for almost 8 weeks in AP on our K1 visa, back in 2008/2009. It takes a lot less time now, but they do take the odd petition out of the queue, and subject it to extra scrutiny. Lately, it has been about 3 weeks before they send them on. They cannot deny, so don't worry about that. It seemed pretty pointless to us back in the day, and our FOIA request showed that it was purely random. Keep calling them. We got at least two letters that said they would send it on to the consulate, even after they knew it was in AP. We never did get notified that it had finally been sent on. The only way to know is to call them. Thanks so much for your kind words, they did help. And yeah our petition might be a little bit odd since there is a considerable age gap between us and that might be a reason for extra scrutiny. But love conquers all. Thanks and God bless. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Issue	Hello Everyone, I called the NVC today to find out if our case has been sent to our Consulate in Jamaica as yet and I was told no. I asked why is it still being held, they have the file since 10/19/12, I was given the consulate case number. The CSR says to check back in a week and see. I asked her specifically if our case is in AP she says yes as of today it is and I should check back at the end of the week to see if it is released. My question is, is this normal at this state after receiving NOA2, I thought all background checks and verifications were done at USCIS, and what could they be looking for at this point and how long does AP at the NVC stage take? Philippines	Cyclone Dispalced Fiancée: $ of Supporting in Cebu, & Refugee Question.	500 is too much, 200 is enough for one person and that would fetch the electricity groceries and clothes the ones she lost.   i worked online before my salary was just 12500 (350 dollars?) a month and i paid for the electricity groceries and a little bit set aside for my needs. i lived in the south, davao, but it is a city and not a province. province is a lot lot cheaper, nothing to go to,nothing to buy, nothing to do.   someone mentioned eastwood libis, that is in manila, a different issue altogether. kind of like comparing new york lifestyle to some small towns/cities in the u.s. You cannot support a family of 5 on that amount unless they are supplimenting it.   Here is my budget per month.   Rent : 18000 peso ( metro manila - 2 bedroom condo) phone / internet : 4410 pesos ( best broadband you can get from PLDT) electric : 2500 to 8000 pesos ( upper end when I am there) condo service fees : 2000  pesos   These are real figures in Manila. These do not include food, transportation, or cell phone cost.   This is for a 2 bedroom condo with 2 AC units, hot water heater for shower, kitchen (no dishwasher), with FULL SIZE fridgerator.   Hope this helps you out.   I think in light of what is happening there now, you really should budget $ 500.00 / month. Remember the rule of supply / demand. Rent will start going up in that region. Not to mention, cell phone prepay cards get expensive. Hello LucidDreams, sorry for what happened , all that matters is that she survived and looking forward to be with her in few months time, IMHO $180 /month is not enough to support 5, lets say cost of living in the province is cheaper than when you live in the city, i live alone in Manila but $180 is not enough to cover my basic necessities here, the reason i work hard to support my family as well in the province and to cover all that i need,  but i think $180 - $200 will still be okay for one or 2 in the province and it depends on how good she is in spending money.   Good Luck.	icedblu15	Not Telling	Philippines	2013-11-13 21:51:00
