Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 November 2010 Filers	It says that you must wait till you receive your biometrics letter.....It does not mention that you will received your biometrics letter within x number of days. Hey guys! I cannot locate my NOA1 in the house, I know, wise. Can someone tell me what does it say about biometrics letter there? Once your get your fingerprint notice, you will see there will be a check-box that says "Please reschedule my appointment...." I just looked at my old biometrics appt letter and here is what it says in Bold letters: "...If you fail to appear as scheduled, your application will be considered abandoned" So if you really think you can't keep your appointment, re-schedule it or like you said walk-in to a different ASC. Do you think that it would be a problem? Some ASC's take walk-in biometrics, some do not, but make sure you go there before or at your date, I would not suggest going AFTER your assigned biometrics date, sometimes if you do not show up, they MAY consider your case abandoned.	jb_vj	Male	India	2010-12-01 20:12:00

I think he also needs to get a clearance certificate from his district police office serving the area where he lives. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	my VJ family-i need your help	Thinking about this more, I agree with everyone that you may need a joint sponsor. If your wife hasn't worked at all during the past 3 years they will probably request a joint sponsor. I think if she had had a part-time job or something during the last 3 years while she was going to school then maybe they would just say it's o.k. But since she did not and her mom claimed her, i'm sure they will come up with some reason as to why you need a joint sponsor (even though she is above the limit now). There was a post I had read a few months ago http://www.visajourn...;hl=under limit (I posted it below) but it sounds like he was working somewhat and that's probably why they gave them the OK. For example, if the sponsor recently started a new job (that USCIS is satisfied will likely continue) and the income from the job now meets or exceeds the legal requirement, USCIS may find the Affidavit of Support to be sufficient, notwithstanding information included in the transcript or copy of the tax return(s). I have been out of the loop for a while and at them moment am completely lost. My wifes I-130 was aproved last August. We delayed NVC for 2 reasons. She was still finishing her Masters Degree and I am self employeed who always filed taxes under my corporation so I had to wait to begining of the year to file under myself for the I-864. At the moment I have paid the I-864 fee and also the $404 visa fee. These were paid over month and a half ago. I never received anything in the mail from NVC. So this is where we are. No deeds for either of us, not on his car insurance (I don't drive yet) etc. He JUST moved to Hawaii and is still living in barracks and getting into a house this month where he won't be paying any rent/mortgage/utilities, and I have no idea whose names go on the paperwork. Also "honeymoon" because we just went to a resort for one night the day of our wedding in the same city we got married in - not exactly the typical get away. And I'm Canadian so my tax return shows only as "married". He jumbled up his tax return and needs to file an amendment so his is out of the question Oh, and we've never flown together so I have separate sets of boarding passes for both of us. So yeah I guess I'll trim that list down and start going through MSN conversations and e-mails. Boarding passes are fine even though you did not fly together. Point is showing you flew to same location. This was case with me and my wife. We sent those boarding passes and made copies of stamps in out passports. Just send all pictures together you have Copy your inbox of emails showing all times you received emails and vice versa copy random chat sessions expanding time frame of relationship. and receipts for gifts or maybe money sent etc... That is all you need and you will have no problems. Their main concern is this is not a fake marriage and those items alone are enough to show real. Do not worry about it. I got the same RFE for proof of relationship and that is what I did. My wife has never been in the country to have the official proof of joint bank accounts, assets, lease etc.... I sent in pictures, air line tickets, passport stamps, emails, and chat logs. Went through with flying colors then. The more you give the better off you are. Only other people they would count is those they claimed as dependants on income taxes. However Co Sponsor income can only be counted if living in the same household as you. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Why was our joint sponsor rejected?	If your co sponsor filled out form I-864 there is also a problem. Co Sponsors file form I-864A However. From what ohers mentioned. Since the sponsor did not turn in any income at all they would be considered a Dependant. With no income they are living off of someone in the eyes of NVC. Sponsor and Beneficiary will be considered Dependants. My wife was considered a dependant when I filed. Now you did not mention the sponsor sending in an I-864. So this could also be another reason for being declined. Sponsor even if having no income needs to send in an I-864 Co Sponsor needs to send in I-864A I do not know what you have sent in but from reading I only see your co-sponsor sending in I-864 I do believe you have to meet requirments for 3 people. Others here believe 2. You want to call NVC and find out. You will get your answer. If it is only for two then you possibly did not send in the right paperwork. Sponsor I-864 (even if $0 income) Co Sponsor I-864A Most recent years income is only one that matters. It does not matter if previous years was under guidlines. With a co-sponsor your number is 3 instead of 2 (Co-Sponsor, Sponsor, Beneficiary). You would need 125% income above poverty guidlines for 3 people Which is $23,162. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Travel after POE	Curious question. Wanted to know if someone could tell me how travel works after my wife arrives in the US. We are under the IR-1. She will get 10 year green card. We do like to travel alot especially nice relaxing trips to the carribean. I was wondering if/or when we would be able to travel freely. We are looking now at August for a POE. Her birthday is early October and I have some deals my way right now for a trip to Jamaica I wanted to book for her birthday. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Interview Questions from previous post	Not too long ago a person asked what were the questions that would be asked to him during their interview. This person has already gone through an interview and apparently denied. While I know many here want to help I think sometimes the help goes too far. While you may have helped one, you possibly hurt many others in the process. I read this person's story like everone else. I felt for them. My opinion changed somewhat after the "Questions" topic started. This person was denied by the CO for a reason. While they can write what ever they wish on this forum, no one knows why the CO denied. but the CO felt they had good reason to do so. My wife will have her interview shortly. The only preperations we have made for the interview is to make sure she had all paperwork. No where did we ever make plans to go over answers for "Questions". We know each other. We are married. Neither of us is worried about any questions. I felt this person came here more or less asking for a cheat sheet. They needed the questions so that they could study for the answers. My wife does not have to study. I am not going to say for fact this is what the person is going to do. However if they knew their spouse they would not need to know such information in advance. My simple point in all this is. Fraud cases is one of the reasons why this process is hard and long. If we removed the fraud cases the process would be faster and easier for the real couples. If the person mentioned above has a real relationship then the questions should be no problem. However do the rest of us truly want to leave a road map for the fraud cases?? Giving this type of information as I said above will only hurt many others in the long run. Real couples do not need this information in advance nor need to study ahead of time. Then you are not a DCF filer. DCF (Direct Consular Filing) is when the petitioner is outside the U.S and files I-130 diretly to the Consulate over there, which is the fastest track in many countries.
