i am really feel more frustated because the releasing officer
called this afternoon 4pm and said that the officer
review the docs today but they want more evidences:

they want more evidences they want
- a letter from employer coe with letterhead
they want same format but "needs a letterhead" with notary
on the same page --- i gave them already but since the notary was made on the second page she decline it.
- rental (apartment) and ownership records
- new i864 fill up with the mailing address and the residence
address.. -- i gave this but since my father 7days works for his boss as a caregiver
- i864a for (my dads new wife)
-they also want us to put a documentation where exactly we
are living. (complete address)
- dad explaning whcich address we are going to live to.
(complete address)

i dunno why the consulate is giving me so much hard time
inspite of giving enough evidences..

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionTAX FORMS AT EMBASSY INTERVIEW

I am very worried. My fiance is having her embassy interview this Sept. 6 and, for the life of me, I cannot find my tax returns!!! I had them filed with my family's and they've suddenly disappeared! It was said that my fiance is to bring these tax forms to the embassy on her interview along with several other forms on the information list she received from the Manila embassy.

Is it absolutely necessary for her to have my tax forms? If so--is there anything I can do if I can't find them? :/

I'm very worried and have so little time to get these papers to her!

If someone could provide some info then PLEASE do so! :(

Thank you!

My fiance has her interview in two weeks and I went to my local IRS office and asked for Tax Transcripts (are line by line items of your taxes) which are free. You typically have to request the transcripts and it takes 2-3 weeks for them to arrive via mail. I was lucky that the lady at the IRS printed them out and I had them in less than 10 minutes. Hope this helps.

Oh god. This train crash here in the Valley. Up to 20 dead, 100 injured. I'm watching it all live on TV here and oh god, this is horrible. I don't know, it's just bringing back horrible memories of Ladbroke Grove and Paddington for me. I had no idea that passenger and freight trains shared rails here in So Cal.

I saw that too. It's horrific sad.gif l. My sister-in-law lives in Northridge so I'm familiar with the metrolink. I had no idea it shared a line with freight trains either.

What kind of bread do you make? I went through a phase of making bread back home but I have not had much bread of late since we mostly eat tortillas. I did have a wonderful sandwich from the Sequoia sandwich company on 'squaw bread'. I would love to try making that, or rye or sourdough.

Just popping in to say hello to everyone. Extra-special hugs and hello's to Julez, Aly and StP.

Sorry I've been quiet for a while. I have been trying to concentrate on settling in here without the internet as a crutch, plus I've been busy with wedding plans and my MSc. Anyway...

We got married on Friday! We had a wonderful day, so much better than we originally planned (if you recall we were going to marry in Vegas and have a full-blown ceremony later). We ended up having a lovely ceremony with family and friends - my mum came out too. Everything was perfect.

Now it's time for AOS tongue.gif

Glad to hear that so many people have had successful medicals and interviews since I was last on here. Congrats to Aly!!!

Just 11 days to go now. Excess baggage have taken my boxes and my dog is booked on my flight. I have a couple of good friends who have taken stuff off my hands and paid me for them, the house is starting to look very empty. Most of my furniture is sold but being picked up after I leave, which is nice. My friend's husband will sell my car after I go and wire me the money through. My mum is going to wire my bond from my house through too when she gets it back.
I had it all planned, I packed my cases then packed everything else in boxes. It was a good plan until everyone started giving me leaving presents, wedding presents and birthday presents (I'm getting married on my birthday!!!!). Now I have to reorganise my cases so I can fit these in. It's only little or it's only light, they tell me laughing.gif but I didnt account for them !!!!!!!
Had a family meal today, last time I see my brother until he comes over in October. The next 11 days are filled with nights out, meals, visiting friends, ect ect.... It should fly by, I'm usually very organised but have had to make lists or I forget stuff, too much going on in my head.
I'm so glad I booked economy premium, a complementary bar!!!! think I will need it after all this stress smile.gif

You must be so relieved, after all this time, that you are finally going! I hope the next 11 days are wonderful and do fly by.

Since you mentioned it. My mum has put an idea in my head about sending a trunk full of stuff to the US. Originally, I was going to just take what could fit in 2 suitcases but after getting rid of a bunch of stuff I appear to have accumulated more. Plus I have just started an OU course and they keep sending me heavy (in both senses of the word tongue.gif ) literature which I need to take with me. I have no idea how sending stuff to the US works so wondered if you could give me the lowdown on excess baggage or shipping stuff generally. I don't have a clue!

Actually, as a kid my parents took us to Scotland for our Summer holiday more often than not. I do remember the rain and the midgies but I have fantastic memories of Scotland. I even think I recall the sun shining tongue.gif. I especially love the west coast. It really is one of the most beautiful places on earth.

I'm currently trying to get my embassy forms ready in advance of receiving Packet 3 (since CSC have still not forwarded our petition to NVC). Anyway, I want to try and make up for lost time (as much as possible) by being ready to send it back the day it arrives. Is there any detailed instructions/advice anywhere on filling out these forms? I'm currently filling out DS-156 and need some advice on some aspects of the form.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

United Kingdomanyone get medical day before interview?
If you have the medical the day before or the same day as the interview you can still be approved but issuance of your visa will be pending satisfactory medical results. So, I'm not sure how accurate the information is that you HAVE to have the medical before the interview.

You can book a date for your medical before returning P3 and then on receipt of your embassy appt call the doctor's office to have it changed to a more convenient date. This is fairly common and the doctor's office don't seem to mind changing your appointment. I know people have done the medical the same day but a word of warning: The embassy procedure can entail a lot of waiting around. I was there from 9.00 am until 1.30pm. I wouldn't like to be putting myself under two separate types of pressure on the day of my interview. I had my medical 2 days prior and stayed in London until the interview.

United Kingdomvisiting the doctor back home?
Interestingly, my GP, knowing I was emigrating abroad advised me to return home for treatment "at some stage" because of the prohibitive cost of testing and treatment in the US for a non-urgent ailment we had discussed in passing. Her words were "just pop in to see me next time you're in the country". She knew I was emigrating, not because of the necessity to obtain an MMR and Tdap vaccine for my medical, but because I had requested additional evidence from her to support my visa application. I doubt having a vaccination record of the type required to emigrate to the US is damning evidence of your intent to leave the UK permanently.

I believe, if this policy has not changed over the past two years, GP's have the discretion to treat anyone as an NHS patient for non-urgent care. For urgent care cases the patient has to be treated until their health is stable enough for them to be discharged from hospital. I'm glad it is that way, that citizens and non-citizens alike have access to necessary medical care regardless of who is paying for it.

You're doing a fantastic job Poiteen. Maybe I'll look into another area to cover as the London Medical seems pretty well covered at this point. Wonderful idea having a fluid set of documentation that everyone can feel ownership of and contribute to. I'd be happy to put together info about the London Medical and any supplementary evidence required as a start in that area.

United KingdomVisiting Fiance after NOA2 to attend K1 interview

VWP works the other way too, it's reciprocal in the sense that a USC doesn't need to apply for a visitor's visa before traveling/ gaining entry to the UK.

But yes, entry to the UK can be granted for up to 6 months but it can be restricted if they want to. Equally, entry can be refused.

Just to clarify something, Boiler is right in correcting the OP. The Visa Waiver Program is a US government program. There is a UK equivalent which indeed works in a similar way to the VWP but it is not the VWP.

United KingdomThose interviewing after 4th June 2010
I have to agree with Maven here. While I appreciate the concern over cost, given the choice between more money and less time for processing I would definitely choose the former. If you were given the choice of paying extra to expedite your visa would you pay it? The processing times are much shorter these days and that's probably because they're able to spend more on labour.

bakofoil -- Melissa DOES need your support. Personally, I'm baffled too why she isn't standing up for me to Julian but I will keep trying. I know he hates me and sees me as a bad influence on her (or so his PM the other day said -- I know I can't paste PM contents, but suffice to say I was called some choice epithets and told he could see why my husband had abandoned me -- classy!).

I'll just say this. This only makes me feel more angry about this situation. If your support comes in the form of helping her stand up to a misogynistic ignorant bully then I'm with you. Otherwise, forget it. That behaviour is unacceptable from both of them and as your friend I cannot support it. Sorry.
bakofoilFemaleEngland2010-05-28 18:06:00
United KingdomUmmm, maybe another stupid question!

I'm going to agree with Johnny here. Look, Melissa needs all the help she can get. I'm trying, but I'm only one person. I didn't mean to step into this mess but I did, and since I'm only ten miles away it's probably for the best that I keep up with her. Julez, Muffin, bakofoil -- all of you are friends, REAL LIFE friends of mine. I know this is hard to believe, but imagine this was ME posting about being a bloody idiot, excusing outrageous behaviour my husband was indulging in. Would you support me? Or pile on?

Melissa IS complicit in all of this -- I will not excuse her. But she needs support right now. I regret my comment about scoring blow in the last post now. I could remove it, but I won't.

Well, honestly Maven, I would be more sympathetic if I saw her defending you against Julian's version of the facts given that you are offering her your undivided support in person.

However, for you, I will be supportive.
