How many are left behind for July? That's the number I will choose.

53 July CSC filers without NOA2, according to the timeline search. (that's including all filers before July 19.)

Doh! @ 53 sad.gif That's worse than I thought.

ANYWAY! I'm sure there will be a new prize this week... *looks for STP*

I'll go for 33 again - babbles is one of them, as is a-jeanne and CBR smile.gif

Gosh I do hope so. I am very pessimistic these days about my own approval. I think I feel less stressed thinking 'not this week' rather than 'please let it be this week'. I found myself feeling really depressed on Friday (the start of my bloody weekend when I should be feeling great!) knowing that CSC would be grinding to a halt over the weekend. So now I think 'whenever you're ready you <insert expletive here>'s!'

Ok, I'm plumping for 21 for the week.

33!!! Just cause I always say 33 biggrin.gif And I have to retain my positivity and optimism because at the moment I just feel stressed, tired and miserable all the time and I want to go back to normal...

Think most of it is nerves though... Could really use a glass of wine tonight!!!

I feel exactly the same way. I'm usually very positive but I think I operate that way when I have a goal in sight. At the moment I'm finding it hard to find the motivation for anything. So, I really need to snap out of it.

Are you nervous about the wedding?

I'll go for my usual 31, with 3 August filers. (Please let one of them be me! whistling.gif)

Since the total number of August and September filers combined is roughly the total of all July filers, and most July filers were processed in a month, seems to me that we should be able to expect a large number of August filers this week, and maybe even a small number of Sept filers either this week or certainly next. This is based on my (hopeful) theory that CSC really were hard at work last week and were just not updating the case online system. If they really weren't processing apps, then all bets are off.

You know you could have a point with your speculation about cases not being updated online. Maybe, we're going to see a massive amount of approvals this week - simply because they may well have approved a good number of people in the last week or so but nobody is aware of it. If that's the case, then your estimate on August petitions being complete should be bang on. let's hope so eh? I know us July stragglers are only slowing you down tongue.gif

I am too scared to have a punt this week.

Actually, sod it. I'm going for 78! Just because I can.

QUOTE (MarkNAshley @ Feb 21 2008, 08:43 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I don't think the letter will work, however you do not need to be with your fiancee when she comes to the US. It is possible for her to cross on her own if you are unable to accompany her.

Sorry there aren't easier options! We've all been through the endless waits and frustrations!

I think this is precisely the way that the consulate will view this. I also agree with mox. If many means of expedition were possible many would be trying it and it would just confuse and slow down the general order of things.

I think, at least at consular stage, your interview will be scheduled behind those who returned Packet 3 before you. Having said this, I believe that the London embassy may try to accommodate people according to the date of travel designated on one of the forms you return with Packet 3 (can't remember which one it is now). There is no guarantee of that but it is the best you can hope for. Good luck!

I read this whole thread again today. I just quickly browsed through and I'm glad that there is an AUGUST Filer UNDER CSC.

This thread is actually quite specific and special because almost all of us waited 6-7 weeks until receiving the NOA1 and getting our checks cashed.

There is only about a handful of us who have posted replies.

I wonder where all the AUGUST FILERS ARE UNDER CSC.

There has to be more than just a handful of us.

You're quite right about the particular circumstances many of us went through during August and September not knowing whether our petitions were lost or not. And yes there were a lot of us at the time (I found that part quite a comfort at least).

I think a lot of people moved onto the general July and August filer threads once their issues were resolved. I tend to post in the 'July Filers' or 'waiting for an NOA2 from CSC' threads as I ended up with a July NOA1 received date despite the fact that my petition didn't actually reach CSC until mid August. I fell lucky there!

Sorry to see that there are some still waiting on an NOA1 and check cashing. I wish you all the best and hope things will get resolved quickly for you.

You can check the status of your application online at the USCIS website. All you need is the case number from your NOA1. You probably won't hear much for a couple of months or so as currently the service centers are working on April/May petitions. When they get around to looking at your petition, they will either approve it and send you an NOA2 or they may need further information and send you an RFE (request for further evidence).

It would be a good idea to look at the K1 flowchart in the 'guides' section, this describes the whole process for you.

Good luck smile.gif
