Ok I'm obviously having a blonde moment....

I can't see any shipments after 14th February
I can see ones before that ... so I thought I knew how to search
But if I put in EXP 15 FEB 2008A or EXP 18 FEB 2008A etc
I'm getting no shipments.
Is that me being stupid or have there been no shipments?

You'll see something later tonight. No shipping at weekends and yesterday was a federal holiday. So you need to try EXP 18 FEB 2008A after 4pm EST.

Hope there's one bound for Dublin. It's quite exciting when you see one that could contain yours smile.gif

I have a feeling that they are using someone else. I tried to track UK shipments over the last 2 weeks and they look thin on the ground by comparison with the number of people on VJ who had their cases transferred from NVC to embassy. Unless, a single petition is more than one petition.

Ahhh i see now. So this is a way to track your petition once you know it has left the NVC. No, I dont know if it has left yet. Havent heard anything from them yet.

You can call them and give them your CIS case number. They will tell you whether it is on the system or not, and also the date they sent it out. I think though that petitions go out the next working day after the date they give you. Someone else here may confirm or deny that. I'm hoping so! Only 1 UK petition was sent out last week and I hope it has my name on it.

Post NOA2 you feel much more informed on progress at least.

Cool, thanks so much for doing that. This paperwork gathering can be stressful. I'm starting to get jittery about things...jittery and excited.

The I-134 is two pages long. I don't know where you read that it should be printed out as one. I wonder if I am missing something here.

I just read it in another website http://www.immihelp.com/visas/visitor/i134.html and it says
"Print it on 1 page on 2 sides.Do not print on 2 pages. If you don´t have a printer that prints on 2 sides, first print on 2 pages and then make 1-->2 photocopy"
unsure.gif

Wow! Thanks for finding this. I suppose it makes sense if it has to be notarized. One page one signature. Luckily, my fiance is in the process of gathering his evidence and hasn't had his notarized yet.
I wonder if it might be worth you posting this Q in a new thread see what others have experienced?

There is also the EXPEDITE IV SECTION shipping reference. So if the above doesn't show your case then this might work.

In fact EXPEDITE IV SECTION shows a petition going to Mumbai today smile.gif

It's a brilliant resource Igor, thanks so much for doing it. I'm sure many more people will benefit in future smile.gif

Bengalover. Go to DHL at this address: http://www.dhl.com/p.../sref.high.html

Click on 'clear' and you should see a date range.

Enter 'EXP 13 FEB 2008A' in the 'Shipper's reference' box and click on 'Start Tracking'

You should then see a number of shipments. If you also see the following "There are more records available for the criteria provided. The data shown is only a part of available data. Try refining your query criteria to narrow down the search." then go back to the search and enter 'EXP 13 FEB 2008B'

Yeah that makes sense. So it's a ratio of submitted petitions. Good thinking to factor in CSC receiving a lot more petitions than VSC.

It's a great resource and one, I assume, that will keep going indefinitely without much input from you?

I know. I even have Packet 3 all ready to go. Just need to check through to make sure nothing has changed since the details posted on here and I can return it the same day.

It's weird. I feel pretty confident we're home and dry now but I do get the odd moment where I have to remind myself that nothing is guaranteed. I refused to make any plans whatsoever before the NOA2 arrived but since then I have started to get excited about a possible departure schedule and have even started to sort out some wedding plans. I can't believe how fast everything is going now. It's very exciting. I hope we all get through this part smoothly smile.gif

Anyone know if you can track the case now that it is at NVC but before it goes to DHL? What is the best way to know that it has left NVC (without having to call every day!)

I'm hoping that was a cunning ruse to stop me calling everyday.

The early(ish) noa2 spoiled me. Now I want everything to happen now now NOW!!!
(can you imagine how annoying that is for my SO?)

Try again tomorrow. It will arrive there within the next week or so if it hasn't already. I think CSC must send out weekly consignments because there was a flurry of NVC action just over a week ago then nothing until yesterday.

Don't feel spoiled. The situation with CSC is so messed up that it seems there is a 3 month window for approvals from each filing month to get approved. Some are fortunate, others not so - but we are all in it together and wanting the same result. smile.gif

1. Anyone from CSC, approved 1st February or after had their petition received by NVC yet? If so, when?
2. Can the beneficiary call NVC? I know we can't call CSC for info, but I'm stressing my SO out with my "did you call yet, did you call yet, did you call yet"!

Thanks!

Ours was approved 31 Jan but not updated on the USCIS system until 2 Feb and it has been received by NVC.

Yes the beneficiary has some control now!! tongue.gif Call NVC and ask them. Takes a while to get through sometimes. I think you might find they have received it as CSC seem to send petitions out in batches. Good luck! smile.gif

And I am extremely puzzled by your situation. I have never heard of that one before! That just sucks so bad CBR. Its just so bizarre to me that so many are still waiting. Its all so random. I wish you the best and hope you get resolution soon.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsATTENTION JULY FILERS!
CBR - I know exactly what you mean about feeling sidelined by USCIS and it can be bittersweet seeing approvals. It's awful because you feel happy for everyone but envious and anxious at the same time. I was talking to my (future) sister-in-law last night about progress on July petitions in an attempt to explain how close we should be in terms of obtaining the actual visa. I explained that some people are still waiting approval at the first stage and tried to work out a possible interview date for me if we got approved this week. This entailed doing some comparisons - and then it dawned on me that there are people literally days away from getting the visa in hand who only submitted a week before us! There are also people who submitted weeks before me who are still waiting on NOA2.

Don't get me wrong, this isn't me complaining about people getting theirs now, this is me wondering why the hell USCIS is actually not processing petitions in received order like they claim to be.

A few years ago I worked for the NHS allocating actual costs for drugs prescribed - you know, making sure the chemist gets £90.00 for that box of 21 proprietary tablets your doc gave you rather than the £6 or so you paid for it. They had 6 or 7 branches around the country but every branch finished a particular months batches on the same date and did not start the next month until all batches were finished for the previous month. This sometimes entailed sending excess batches to another branch by courier. But, everyone finished to deadline so chemists would get their payment on time. If we were behind they offered overtime until deadlines could be met. Now I realise it takes longer to approve a petition than it does a single prescription, but when you consider the volume of prescriptions given out daily I think it's not difficult to see how a similar system could be used to success with immigration petitions. Why should someone who filed a week before someone else end up being effectively 2-3 months ahead? And we know that later filers will get ahead too. If say, VSC, has finished approving July filers (save the RFE's) then why not offload CSC before starting on August?

I'm really not having a go at those of you who have your NOA2s, interviews, visas in the bag - you know, I would be absolutely thrilled right now if I was in the same position and I am genuinely pleased for you. I am frustrated by the apparent unfairness of the system and understand why people feel bitter/upset and disappear from the forums.

I vented. I feel better.

Sorry for the off topic guys, but I am just so dang excited I cannot sit still, and just need to say (or type) outloud how happy I am!!!! I can't believe we are actually gonna make the wedding we stressed about having planned before we knew how long the process was, etc etc. I can't believe Matt will be here TO STAY 3 weeks from today, our interview is 10 days from today, AND I get to go to our wedding venue this afternoon and write them a big check because we are a go for launch!!!! and I am meeting with the florist on Thurs afternoon, and I get to order the cupcakes (instead of wedding cake!) I just can't believe it all came together. I have been holding off on any real wedding planning, final details, etc because I was so worried about not making it in time (and jinxing it!!) and now I can. I just had to share with people who get it!!! and of course now I am like freaking out because there is so much to do in 5 1/2 weeks!!!! invitations, flowers, food, music.....ahhhhhhhhh!!!! I mean it will only be about 30 people, but I still want it to be lovely! have I mentioned I just love everybody and everything today?? laughing.gif wink.gif laughing.gif

Our wedding planner is coming as a guest though as she organised pretty much the whole thing then lost her job when work dried up!! smile.gif

Ohhhh and I wonder how Griff is getting on - I would say Julez must be so excited if she weren't asleep... saying that, maybe she *can't* sleep she is that excited laughing.gif

I hardly slept at all!!! Griff rang at 4:30 US time to tell me he'd been approved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First they collected his paperwork, where they remarked about how organized he was! Sat back down for 2 mins, then they called his name first. Said the guy asked him exactly 3 questions, as follows:
  1. Where did you meet?
  2. Do you remember when that was?
  3. Why will you live in the US as opposed to the UK?
The guy said, "I see your medical is this aftertoon, so once we have those results your passport and visa will arrive a few days later. Have a good day."

Griff said he walked out euphoric, but slightly disappointed that they didn't want to see any of the evidence of our ongoing relationship!!!! Said the onlu person who got a look at any of our photos was the fight attendant from BA he waited in line with outside the embassy who was there to collect her visa! laughing.gif

OK, just wanted to give you guys the brief rundown, now I must finish getting ready for work!! biggrin.gif Will be back once I arrive there!!!!! *so happy*

When things get tough.....and I'm sure at times they will.....we will be beside our loved ones to help us through. 2008 is definatly going to be a year to remember and I wish all my fellow July filers all the best.

Happy New Year to you and all. I think all this 'new' stuff is terribly exciting (and a little daunting). I'm in full agreement with you about the year to come, though I'm still enjoying the thought that 2007 was the best year of my life to date. So sorry to hear about the RFE. Nothing is straightforward it seems. You sent the right money in the right timeframe and because of THEIR mistake you've ended up being RFE'd as a result of the damn notice date on an NOA1 you should have received early August. Their systems are not as foolproof as they should be. I don't know how many times I've said on VJ that the 'notice date' is more trouble than it's worth and here is proof. mad.gif

If it's any consolation (I doubt it) we have had heard nothing whatsoever on our petition. We are wondering whether ours got filed with the September filers as a result of the notice date on our NOA1.

*sigh* sad.gif
