Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussionno appointment yet for fingerprints.
I have the same situation, I called USCIS 10 days ago. they sent a letter saying that they do not have an appointment for me yet. I'm waiting 15 days to call again, I don't understand why I didn't receive a biometric letter, my daughter did it, and I thought I wouldn't problem in my case, but yes for her case; her GC expire in September.

OK, so maybe I won't worry quite as much. I haven't received my bio letter either (my package was received 02.27) BUT they also haven't cashed my check yet.

I just logged on to have a look at the February filers before I call them. I'm still gonna give them a call.

You need wait until they cash your check, then they must send your extension letter and a week or two your biometric letter.

Hi guys,
Thanks for your response.
I paid the biometric fee $85, included with my I-751 fee.
Well, I understand that all applicants needs to take new fingerprints at ASC.
I'm waiting 15 days and call to USCIS again.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionWhat Happens?
Hi, guys!

I'm a little worried, because USCIS received my package on February 1st, and I did not receive my appointment for biometrics, The biometric for my daughter was OK on March 5, she waited about 2 hours in the ASC but the procedure was only around 5 minutes.

I called USCIS, they told me that I need wait about 15 days, during that time, maybe they call me and they'll explain what happend with my case, but today I receive a letter and it says:" A review of USCIS records indicate that at this time there is no appointment scheduled for you to go to one of our ASC for processing associated with this case. USCIS will contact you if updated biometric info or any other additional info is needed to process your petition."

Can someone tell me something about it? Can I get a RFE?

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionBiometrics appointment not needed?

Do fingerprints taken for a job count as a biometrict appointment? I remembered I had to take fingerprints and pics for a job in Feb 2012, exactly like what I did for the conditional green card and fingerprints will be effective in 15 months.

Jo&Si, are you sure that you didn't do anything like this recently? I hate this sentence: "The biometrics fee will not be refunded." :bonk:

I hate that sentence too,Posted Image hahahha

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionOut of status? help!

Thanks everyone. The person who told me that he is out of status said that, if his 10 yr GC hadn't been approved yet, he was in status with his 2 yr GC and the extension letter. Now that is 10 yr has been approved, the extension letter on the 2 yr GC is no longer valid, and that he now needs his 10 yr GC in hand. That's why I'm confused. I would have thought that the more info he has with him to show his status, the better.

I'm glad to hear others' perspectives.

I recommend you call to USCIS and ask about your situation, inclusive that your husband have not received his GC yet.

Hi,
She just fill in the form with your last name. Don't forget write her maiden name in the part 3. and Remember she must sign the form with her married last name.secret7vf.gif
I did it, and I have received all Uscis' letters with my married last name.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionCan there a waiver for the fee I 751 for kids
Hi,
I recommend you call to USCIS, they can give you the best advice.
However, I think, if your child is under 17 and if he/she entered to US with you; then you need to pay the biometric fee $85.

Nana098

If you have not received biometrics and you filed in Feb, that is unusual.  I think you need to call them or schedule appt asap so they can send you biometrics appt letter.

Hi, guys

A few days ago I called to USCIS again about my appt biometric, at that time I wanted to talk with an IO level 2, I explained one more time my problem, and he was very friendly and helpful and told me that he will put a new request about my case. I check my mailbox today and found a USCIS letter, it says: "Our records indicate that we are in the process of scheduling your ASC appt associated with this case.
Your case is currently in suspense until you complete this process. You should receive a copy of the appt of the appt notice within 60-90 days..."
Well, for now I am not going to worry until that date.

Hi, Orlandosaint

Reading your post, I think I have a similar case with you. USCIS received my package on Feb.1/13. They sent an extension letter but not the biometric appointment. I called many times and they said that "they don't have an app for me, when they have an app, they'll send me a letter"

Obviously I'm worried about it, because I never have read on VJ something like that. Many people don't receive the extension letter but they receive the biometric appointment. I think is your case. Please let me know if I'm correct. I'm thinking make an infopass the next month and expose my case.

Thank you in advance

Diana

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionQuestion about self filing ROC

if i just want a greencard then why would i file divorce then? I entered my marriage in good faith god knows about that. But when i get here it changed.
He doesn't want me to go out even with ladies friends. Everytime we have a misunderstanding he always say " don't use that i'm the one who bought that. I used my money for that blah blah "
Why would he say like that to me?? I am not physically hurt but emotionally. I tried to hold on but i just really can't take it anymore.
He just want me to stay inside the house like him sit in living room watch black and white tv shows. Geez i want a life i don't want to be a figurin waiting for the day to be done.

Read my post above besides you really don't know what im going through :)

I don't see any problem about opening a new account besides i will still put $ to our joint account. The thing that i don't understand is that why he doesn't want me to do that. I am not worried about the joint i am pissed off because i am open for the bills yet he doesn't want me to open my own account in my name. Most of my friends have their joint account and their husband agreed on that. He wanted me to be broke so i will quit my job and just stay in the house whole day. Do you think if your in my situation you can live like that? I need to work and socialize have other environment , in short i want a life. I don't feel like having a feel now here because of the way he treats me. So i will take the risk because i am not happy anymore.

If you feel hurt emotionally then you need ask for help, maybe in these foundations can help you with your questions about your GC.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751 got a letter saying that I will need another interview. What now?
Hi, Alesantos
I filled my I-751 on february/13, my daughter and I received our extention letter a few weeks later, and the bio appt. for my daughter not for me.
I called USCIS many times asking why I didn't receive my appt. and many times I got the same answer for every officer who attend my call: "I needed to wait for"; but in the last call I said that answer not is sufficient for me and I want to talk with an high level officer, then I spoke with a level 2 officer, and said the answer I got not calm me, and I want to know if I had a problem with my file. The officer tell me it looks ok., and he put a reminder in my file.
A few days later I receive a letter saying that during the next 60-90 days I'll get my bio appt.
Early July I got my bio appt. by July 15.
So, I suggest call USCIS and ask for a level 2 officer, explain it your case and ask for your bio appt., because you need it, in any moment you'll need to do it, I think before you come an interview. Ask everything, and say that you are very worried because you are out of time process.
By other way, speak first with USCIS before you contact a lawyer, depending the answer from officer then you decide if hiring a lawyer or not.
I hope my advice can help you.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionROC for CR2 - Must file at same time as CR1 ROC?

Hi,

Attach link with the instructions for ROC: http://www.uscis.gov.../i-751instr.pdf

This is other note:

Note on Filing Fee: Please include the base petition fee plus $85 biometric services fee for all conditional resident applicants. Each conditional resident child listed under Part 5 of this form who is a dependent seeking to remove their conditional status, is required to submit an additional biometric services fee of $85, regardless of age.

You MUST include your son in your application, and pay the biometric fee $85 for him. I recommend you make 2 checks, 1 for your form + biometric $590 and the other one $85.
For prove of bonafide for him, you can follow the Milimeo's advice.

You and your husband need to sign it the form.

Saludos!

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionGot my GC Today so now what is next step?

One important thing to remember:

You and your husband need co-mingling finances (bank account, credit cards, car insured, jointly taxes, bill, lease or mortgage, etc.)
Keep all that papers because you'll need to attach when you ROC on your GC.
Read the guidance to ROC to know all that you'll need.

I'm registered on January filers, but they (VSC) received my packet (my daughter and mine) on February 1st.
I didn't receive my bio appt. after of many calls during 4 months, finally I got it and I did it on July.
I received an RFE on July 29 for my daughter form (It needed signed it by my husband) I send it back and they received it on August 1st. since that date I didn't heard anything. Last week I called USCIS again and put a Service Request, The IO told me that I need to wait 30 days or during that time I must have any response, if I not got nothing, I'll need to call again.

Hi, Guys
I'm here again... can you believe this: My daughter received her GC on the date scheduled by USPS 02-13-14 and, that same day I expected receive mine too, but until today I haven't. I'm a unlucky girl with the USCIS processes; always, always my daughter receives first any documents before than me.
The tracking number were issued the same day, and the first one was mine and she was 13 consecutive numbers more.
On the USPS site shows the place and date & time stopped on Feb 11 on my tracking. Yesterday morning I called USPS and put a service request, last nigth I received back a call from them and say that my package is still on his office at Knoxville, TN. Today, the updated on the website shows the package is at Kearny, NJ
I hope receive it tomorrow.
