Asia: East and Pacific	I have noticed one optimistic thing	Im in the same boat. I only made one visit, I proposed after 2 months of knowing her, she knew my job and I went to college but she could not remember the name of the Technical School i went to. But she did know I got an engineering degree. Also we had our engagement party just 4 days after my arrival to vietnam. Im still hoping for the best though..... Asia: East and Pacific	Vietnam -- 2nd Blue Slip after sumitting addional documents. Wife Visa	I am in a similar situation. My fiance's interview was Jan 13, we resubmitted airline proof of purchase and notorized timeline on January 20. She was told that she did not need to return to the embassy and that we would have an answer in 5 business days. I even sent an email to the embassy this past Sunday 2/1 asking for a status update. Imm worried if they return the I-129F i will have to wait a long time. Once I see the results I will go from there OK... Hi. The consulate is incorrect. K-1 petitions won't be reviewed by USCIS as of 5/23/2008. At least they're definitely not reviewed in the California Service Center. You should file again. And you must rebut the consulate's conclusions about the case. If the case is closed at the consulate - it's no longer there. The entire file would have been returned to USCIS. Marriage & a CR-1 are options - but they are not silver bullets. Your case had some problems (either real or perceived) at the consulate. You need to (a) learn what they are and ( correct them for the next time around. I have spoken with Lolly and Ellis on this matter and both have said I have to find out why it was refused. If i do not find out what the problem was and fix it then the next time around with a CR1 or K-3 it could be denied again because my fiance will have a mark next to her name because she was refused already. Lolly said they will try and freeze there case at the consulate and see what they can do to appeal. They will review the case and find out the reason for my rejection and freeze the case and keep it from being sent back for $500 additional services after that are more. All they asked for was a credit card statement with my name and address visable on the receipt, i also sent credit card statement showing hotel stays and ATM transactions over in Vietnam, as well as a 6 page letter telling about our relationship and it was notorized. After a thorough review of the facts of this case, the petition has been returned to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) where the petition was filed for review and possible revocation. It can take several months for the petition to be received by USCIS. We will inform the beneficiary and return all personal items submitted in support of the application to the beneficiary at the appropriate time. This case is now closed in our office. This is what the email said that I received this morning. I am at wits end. What can I do now if anything to get my fiance's visa approved? What will the USCIS look at? Will they call me in for a interview? What can i do to help my case. I was planning to go back to vietnam in May will this help? Please any help is greatly appreciated. Asia: East and Pacific	I've been living in Vietnam for little over a year.	I agree im not big but tall im 6'3" and everyone always looked at me as if im a giant when i was in Vietnam. Though good thing about it people get the hell outta my way for the most part LOL. I hate the dirtyness of the country compared to here in Texas. Traffic is Stupid crazy but better than in Bangkok. I just spoke with Allen Lolly today and he is also suggesting getting married in Thailand which i think isnt doable at all for me. He is formally filing a request to freeze the case in HCMC and ask that I be able to appear in person for a petition and show additional evidence. He has me a bit worried stating that since she has been denied once and that they called our relationship a sham or fake that no matter what it could be denied again. I sent her money every month and she attended english classes, we talked on the phone very day but didnt have proof until later. Why is this such a pain in the butt....Im sitting here loosing year away from my future wife and being married. im having to face 2011 until we can be together this really suks... I guess the mail thing was only one trip, lack of communication evidence, and wife missed one question in interview. Korean CO was extremely rude with her. I guess i need to fill out the affidavit of support form next? What else???? Is there any fee's im going to have to pay soon? What can my fiance do in Vietnam to help prepare?
