rofl.gif One time I was lamenting to a friend about how my stomach is not flat like when I was younger and could no longer see my curlies! Her answer was, "just comb them out straight" and I almost died laughing. So, if ya can't see 'em, just comb & gel until they stick out past your belly....then at least you could see there and it will make you feel better! I've definitely thought about it a couple times! jest.gif

Yardies this is ur laugh for today rofl.gif First I put myself on GYM PUNISHMENT due to the 4 huge pounds I gained during the Holiday( didn't work out and had a love affair with a Sweet Potatoe Pie) so I have to go to the Gym everyday before my trip in January. I got to the gym and low and behold I had left my workout clothes at home. I restarted my car stating "The devil is a lie I will not break my punishment" . I went to TJMAX and found a pair of Gym shorts($5) and a shirt ($5) pants large shirt XTRA Large. Went to change in the gym put the pants on said damn they fit not loosely( the belly roll showed). Put on the shirt to cover the belly and looked like I had been in KIMMY'S , SUS or PORTLAND'S closet. I looked like the Michelen MAN in BLACK. Every roll that I thought I had showed blink.gif . Being the Diva that I am I proceeded out of the dressingroom into the Gym untill I past a mirror. wow.gif . I took my fat Azz bact to the locker and put on my uniform top that did not match in any shape or form to the pants and worked out. I had a kids Xtra large top crying.gif . Lessoned learned try my clothes on.

rofl.gif rofl.gif THAT is some determination though right there!

I can "feel" the stuggle trying to get back out of that top. LMAO... rofl.gif rofl.gif rofl.gif laughing.gif

Looked like I had a tube top on . I was to embaressed toask husband to help me pull it off. I am a 38 DDD rofl.gif

Anyone ever watch the Discovery Channel?

I was watching "Killer Ants" Saturday night. Those things are so dang scary. I KNOW if I had met Andre in Tasmania and then saw that show, I would not have been back to visit him no matter what.

JG,

You're better than me I HATE bugs...I mean HATE them. When I'm down in JA. Every night Ken has to do a bug check in the bedroom & bathroom, before I will step foot in there! It's serious...I have embarassed myself on many an occassion because I saw a roach or something crawling my way! yes.gif

So to sit down and watch a WHOLE show on Ants and how they can probably kill you...is just not what my cup of tea...ATALL!!! laughing.gif

Gill

When i visited Emil he was living in a house were only one room was finshed. The bedroom!!!!!. The rest of the house was open to anything that walked. In the bathroom was only a toilet you had to shower outside so not only were there bugs watching you but also the whole Da## neighborhood, OH LORD the good ole days blink.gif . One night i woke -up to go to the bathroom and there was a man sitting in the kitchen JESUS!!
I will take bugs any day whistling.gif .

Then you would've hated Andre's bathroom......it was like an outhouse back behind the house. Outdoor shower a little ways back from it. No way to avoid bugs. I used to be more skittish. Now, not so much.

I do hate buzzing things.....they inevitably find my ears.

For real on the ants. They were so scary.

Thank you, this is very helpful information. I downloaded the SS-5 application from the SS web site. Page 2, number 3 states, "If you check "Legal Alien Not Allowed to Work," you must provide a document from the U.S. Federal, State or local government agency that explains why you need a Social Security number adn that you meet all of the requirements for the U.S. government benefit. NOTE: Not all U.S. State or local are acceptable for non-work SSN purposes." Donna is here on a K-1 visa. After reading this I wonder why does she need a SS number at this time. She will not be able to work for a while and after we marry, her name will have changed. So, is it really necessary or important that she have a SS number at this time?

You may want to research this Jay, but I think she needs the SSN so that you can apply for the marriage license. I know that it is needed in Florida.

Jay you live in Georgia, when I was married in January a social was not needed he just signed a extra piece of paper stating he was not a citizen. We waited two weeks after his arrival and went to the SS offfice only thing we took was his passport with his stamped visa. Took all day but nothing complicated just the long lines.

Finesse and Jlvr where r yah...

We also had some issues with friends calling...but like you we just stopped answering if we didn't know the person. Unfortunately Andre and I weren't on the same page with all of this and he would give in to whomever called and fall for the guilt trips regularly. He has quite a lot of debt to show for it now...and ain't no one sending him money from JA ;)

Thats what I say...I have a plan and there is nothing but GOD that can steer us from our goals...when u help everyone..who helps u and take care of u...

OMG!!! Me and Verton just had this same conversation last night! I told him due to the cost of bringing him over here the MONEY TREE DIED!!! We pulled too many leaves off. I told him when we plant another one then he can help other people but until it grows and bare fruit I am broke  . He told me yesterday when my family calls tell them I am out don't mention that I am at work  .

I loved Royal Decameron in Mobay. I also stayed in a really inexpensive hotel when I got stranded for 3 additional days by a hurricane, it was called the Big Apple . Its a family owned hotel and you have to get a taxi to go into town but the view from the hillside was beautiful. It was 69.00 dollars a night. I have the number at home. No gym or any frills just nice and clean with bootleg cable in very room   .

We tried to stay at the Big Apple that night we ended up in that nasty hotel. It was the night of our engagement and we wanted some privacy away from the family. The Big Apple was full. It looked very nice.

To the girl who asked.........did you want more suggestions then just MoBay? Someone else mentioned Negril. I'm sure we could come up with many more recommendations for you. I thought you just wanted MoBay.

My fiance know too many people in Negril. We always end up meeting up with some of his friends there. He wants us to be alone..away from family and friends. So, I'm thinking Mobay or Runaway Bay or Ocho Rios area. I've stayed at Rose Hall Resort in Rose Hall (near Mo bay) and it was nice..but they are going through construction over the summer and ZERO rooms are available for my time period.

Club Ambience in Runnaway Bay was really nice and reasonable for all inclusive. But Runnaway Bay is not near anything. There is a  strip club across the street with one stripper   . Girl she would never make it in Atlanta evry man in the club was sleep. . It only cost us $10 us to go to Ochi and if you are real adventurous you clould ride the public bus :o and fear for your life.

I had been divorced 18 years when I met my husband, this was a major lifetime decision for me. I love being married to my husband my only regret is that he wasn't my first husband. That would have been a little strange with us being 7 years apart me being 23 him 16  . Marriage is a new experience everyday. CONGRATS to you 2 Eric !!! Wow, what a great way to start off your weekend, huh??

TGIF !!

Congrats Eric!!

Ive been thinking about TExasbound all night. I am so sorry this happened to you. You know I would hire DOG THE BOUNTY HUNTER!!! : ) Im not kidding. I would track him down and make him look into my face as he went away. He wouldnt forget me ever again!

Today has been particulary very hard for me. Im doing my best to try to compose myselft at work without bursting into tears. I just cant understand. I prayed & waited for this for so long. I am at a loss. I am at a loss, I am at a loss.

Oh TB it's going to be alright.. (F)

I swear Im trying to change my thought pattern. But I was so consumed with him & this whole process. There is nothing I can do. He wont call me. He couldnt event tell me that he ever loved me the last time he screamed at me on the phone earlier this week. He calls from Private #'s. He yells at his mother & cousin who tried to talk to him. Im sick to my stomach. Ive thought about calling this chick but what good does that do, I dont even know how in depth their relationship truly was......but what good does that do---he is in charge of his own decisions, he packed, caught a flight & left . No one made him. I had so many dreams. We had so many dreams, i thought. He begged me to hang in there with him & so I did, he gets here & quits on me. I tabulated everything it came up to over 8k in 8 months. He didnt risk nor lose a dime. How could he quit on me?

I can't say i know how you feel. God knows we all need to say a special prayer for God to lift this from your heart. I hope you understand you did nothing wrong . You fell in love and thats not a crime, the crime was he couldn't love you as much . But we do and we are here for you. (L)

Where are you moving too?

You know I have been thinking about this for a while...go with me on this one...

We should create a VJ community...acreage we can all build our houses on near enough to each other that all the men can do their guy things and us girls can be friends in person...what do ya think  ;) Now if we can only agree on a location

We plan on moving back to Virginia before the end of the summer..we're in Maryland now. Looking for places now. We need more space and more bathrooms....it's hard sharing a bathroom with a teenage girl and a husband who thinks he's the sexiest Jamaican man alive

Okay our compound can be in Virginia   . We can make this work  We have artist, musicians, teachers, nurses, clerical and government workers what else do we need and who am I missing?

They have been touching the AOS like crazy but not touches in almost a month for his EAD. We just want one of them approved, don't care which one.
Just my vent for today..........

My AOS and EAD are going the same way  . No touches since it was transfered to CSC. Bert most likely will get his

I guess most of your Jamaican hubbies would share with you the stories of a true Caribbean Carnival. For any of you who never experienced the Mardi gras like festivities in Jamaica, there are a lot of US cities that do have caribbean Carnivals where you get the chance to really let yourself lose. You know how Caribbean people can party.

So now that I have all these friends (am I so bold to use that word now?) across the US, I hope I can get the chance to meet some of you when I visit some of these cities this summer for Carnival. I am normally in Boston, Philly, Delaware, New York, Atlanta and Miami. I am hoping to add maybe 2 more cities this year so I can give that new car of mine some mileage. Does anyone live in a city that has an exciting Caribbean Carnival and plan to go this year? Don't worry, I am not going to be hitting anyone up for accomadation. I usually stay in a hotel.

Hi
I go to Carnival every year here in Atlanta I believe it is in May this year. My house is open so if you want to stay you can no problem !!!! We'll blow up the bed for you  . It's usally held in Conyers.

My problem is the Mega phone my husbands friends call him evryday 3and 4 times a day and they talk from sun up till sun down. What amazes me more then anything is that he feels like this is ok. His statement is BABES I AM HERE AT HOME WITH YOU, I AM NOT MESSING AROUND WHAT'S THE PROBLEM? I try to explained that just because you are here with me doesn't mean that we are spending time together BECAUSE YOU ARE ALWAYS ON THE PHONE!!!!!!!!!

Girl...a wonder if they r cut from the same tree..hubby says that to me sometimes....tics me off

Same tree here. I have said it before...I hate the cell phone...hate hate hate hate it. If I knew he wouldn't just go out and buy another one I would love to "lose" his or "accidentally" let it fall in the sink full of water laughing.gif 2 years later and I still hate that darn phone!

Do the men you guys are talking about have jobs? I ask cause Andre was like this early on, when he wasn't working. Now, he's busy and very rarely on the phone.

Yes Verton works 10pm till 6 am.

And, he's been here a long time, it looks like. Seems a habit. This one, if it bothers you, you will have to have a sit down. I don't see it passing on it's own.

Jomo thanks for the advice. We have talked and it changes for a day or two ,then he's back on the phone. I figure if
that is our only major problem I will deal with it. That doesn't change the fact I hate that cell phone.
