She got no business being approved. That was the most ignorant fu!!ing remark!!!!!! Just because she is on welfare does not mean that she is a low life or less of a human being than you are. I am on disability and have two kids, I was on welfare for 2years before I received my disability. I attend school so that I am able to get a job that my "physical situation" will allow me to support myself, my kids, and my fiance. There is no problem with a person being on welfare if it is needed. And unless you "KNOW FOR A FACT" that she is on welfare just because she does not want to work......then I suggest you shut your FU!!!! mouth. She came here to ask a question and get some advice and help, she did not come here to get knocked down and ridiculed by some AS!HOLE like you who believes all people on welfare are low lifes. He said that it was really easy and the interviewer was very nice! A few questions and see ya! His visa will be mailed and he should receive within a week. It feels sooooo good to know that we finally finished this part of the process and we can move on. OMG I am so happy! Good luck to all others that are waiting, it just feels good!!! The most amazing 12 months so far: 8 Dec '05 or there around - first online exchange 15 Dec '05 - first phonecall Christmas - "Would you like to come for a week holiday in Hawaii"? 26 Jan (Australia Day) - 2 Feb - a "no expectations" holiday in paradise 25 Feb - 10 Mar... my first visit to SF... by invitation! 12 Apr - 26 Apr (Easter holiday)... my second visit to SF: "Will you?"... "Yes" 16 June - 28 June - Aaron's first visit to Sydney 27 July - I129F filed with CSC ASKED A LAWYER TO WORK WITH US - BIG MISTAKE... Had no knowledge of this site back then!!! 29 Sep - the dreaded RFE... just because we filed "only essential" docs, and falsely told (by the lawyer!) the rest would be needed at my interview Next six weeks... we collect all she told us, email her... she was supposed to send it on. Ask her...call her... she was in court, she was busy, she was on holiday... then she stopped returning our calls all together 14 Nov - Aaron has Info Pass appt at SF Office, then mails copy of all we sent the lawyer to CSC, including letter telling them we want her taken off our case 22 Nov - I call Customer Service and ask if they got it (we had delivery confirm)... told to call in a week 23 Nov - TOUCHED 27 Nov - TOUCHED... without doing anything 28 Nov - I call again... asking if anything was happening with our case... I am told we sent it to "general mail PO Box", and was given exact address for RFE (we've never seen blue form) 29 Nov - TOUCHED 30 Nov - TOUCHED again... without doing anything 06 Dec - case updated: RFE reply received and processing has resumed 08 Dec '06 - case updated: Current Status: Approval notice sent Now... how's that for a really great 12 months of our lives??? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	We have started our long journey....	I checked my account today and the check cleared for the petition. So I fill like something has been accomplished. I know we have a long way to go but it is a start. I sent pictures of us together and my passport showing when I was in Australia. My phone bills are scarrrrrrrrrry so we have proof of that for sure. LOL I am excited. My phone bills were scary also but then I started buy phone cards. So in the end I had phone bills and phone cards because we couldn't talk enough . Our K 1 journeney took 7 months even with visits in between the journey felt like forever. Please let the VJ family help you with support and advise they are wonderful!!! GOOD LUCK!!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	VISA APPROVED	I was in US embassy for my interview together with my Fiance and kid arrived there at 07:30AM. After Submitting my documents i sat next to my fiance after few hours my kid is started to and i was litte bit embarrassed but after in a while one of the staff in embassy told me, I'm the one next to be called in window___?He was a filipino (i forget the number ) for pre-interviewed and screening emails(900pages), phone bills, pictures, bank statement, and etc. but He wasn't bothering to read our conversations . He asked me where i met my fiance then wait for final interviewed. I was called at window 26 for final interviewed together with my fiance but he is busy catching the kid . The American consul in window 26 just gave me a easy question: About my fiance work, if my fiance was married?, if he have a children(1),if his daughter live with him?, how many times he visited me ?, and who is the father of my kid?, and if i had been communicating with my ex? After he interviewed me, He told me " Everything is fine" then I go back to the chair and waiting again, after few minutes I was called at window 38 and the staff handed me my papers with pink slip told me to go in Delbros to pay something MY VISA IS APPROVED!!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	K1 interview tomorrow - fingers crossed!	My fiance just got out of his medical, other than needing 1 more vaccine all went smoothly and quickly. (The physical part of it was only about 10 minutes!) His interview is at 1pm his time tomorrow, 7am EST. I can't believe it came so fast! It feels like just yesterday that we realized we'd have to wait two whole gigantic months til his interview... and now... it's here! People here told me it'd fly after NOA2 and I didn't believe them... well... wow, it flew! Guess who still hasn't secured an apartment? ME! Oops. I have to put together the chat logs/e-mails that my fiance will print tonight (hah, last-minute-Angilla, I'll never learn) and then I'll have to get to work on the apartment hunting. I just can't believe it! 14 months since we've seen each other - and since we first started planning to file the K1. Finally over. Finally! My poor fiance really started to panic about the interview last night, I calmed him down... now I'm the one nervous, and I can't show it cuz it'll make him nervous! So instead I figured I'd ramble here! And make myself late for work like I always do on VJ! So anyway, please everyone, fingers crossed and prayers said tomorrow. Let's bring my baby home! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Help the italian!	K-1 visa is a fiance visa and one of the absolute musts is that you meet in person before filing. I went to Morocco once before filing our K-1 and then once while it was being processed. Emails, phone calls, and gifts don't count as meeting in person. And if immigration know that you are engaged to be married it will be next to impossible for you to get a tourist visa to come here. I sponsored my ex gf to come back with me on vacation for three weeks-two years ago. I had to hire an attorney in Cebu to process some affidavits along with other items. For me was not too bad as I was under contract and she was employed. From what I was told we were lucky as Filipinos have the highest rate amongst all Foreigners of not returning to their Country. What one needs in the Philippines is a reason to not stay in the USA. Money in an account and I mean thousands of dollars; property or owning a business. Unfortunately children are not considered that high on the list as the Phils has the most OFW's in the World. Overseas Foreign Workers. A lot of Filipinos leave their familes in seach of a better life to send money back adn thus leave their children behind. I would hang tight if I were you. Do not upset the apple cart. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	I NEED AN "A-Z" GUIDE FOR THE FIANCE(E) VISA APPLICATION	Welcome again to VJ. This is a good website. As you review the posts along with their A-Z of what is needed you will be set. I am having an Attorney do mine as I wanted it done correctly the first time. Although my Attorney did good it kind of takes away the mouth piece as to me contacting USIOC. Please be prepared for some delays as they had computer problems along with shutting down Texas for K1 so most are goign through California. If your fiance is from NE USA or Midwest you may go faster. Right now I received the letter (my Attorney received) on July 18th, 2007 and so far all it says is "received and pending". So I have had no touches since July 18th. Normally from the posts on this sight it was 30 days between pending and the touch or move. So as you can see I am somewhat frustrated. Oh well nothing to do but wait until next round. I am estimating Marnelle's approval will be around December now then her interview appointment I am estimating will be in February. As you can see I am not getting my hopes up. Instead I am going to Cebu in November to visit her for 9 days. I lived there for 3 years so I am looking forward to going back to what I call home. Atlanta is not my home,,,, I am just passing through. Keep copies of what you submit. You are on the right track. Marnelle notorized copies of her birth certificate, documents, hotel receipts and even our pictures. Not needed but she went overkill which cannot hurt. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	What if ex fiancee did not go back to her country	Thanks everyone. My timeline may be off some as this was a few years back. I had hired an Attorney to handle the K1 ( i do not recommend this route knowing what I know now). We started in July 2007, She failed her medical in February 2008, did a sputum (spelling??) test for a few weeks and then passed.. We broke it off during her sputum testing.... I then contacted Visa Processing the next week as I was busy with work (about 4 business days lapsed if memory serves me correct) then this is when I was finally told it was too late to contact Manila and I was told to inform her not to go to interview which made no sense to me.. NExt thing I know she was in Reno...... I never sent her the documents that came to me from my county health as she needed to check in with them due to her TB or possible TB. She wanted her documents but I did not send to her. I then heard when I returned about 14-18 months later to Philippines for vacation.. I was told then she was with a man she knew at same time as me and she was pregnant living in Florida..... I know it sounds like a Soap Opera but it is the truth as I know it. COuld be why she changed during the process but who knows. As ICE told me even if I did not break off engagement and she came here. And before 90 days I decided not to marry and she did not return then it was her issue being illegal and not mine. I just don't want any issues in the event I do this again in the future. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	What if ex fiancee did not go back to her country	Back in 2007 I broke off my engagement just weeks prior to her going for her interview. Iknew something was not right so I broke it off. I contacted the Visa processing center and they told me "it was too close to her interview and that she just needed to not go" Well she went as I received an email she was in the states. I callled ICE and they said she was legal to stay here for 90 days and if I knew she was still here after 90 days I could contact them. Well I never heard anything more from her so I assumed she went back to the Philippines. About 18 months later I heard through the grapevine she was living in another states and was pregnant by a an american she had met in the Philippines after I left (now you know why hunches are good when something does not smell right).... My question is as I am "thinking" of doing this again with a woman from Manila, Am I at risk to be turned down and am I wasting my time and money in filing?
