K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsA long, long wait......frustrating and hopeless...

No, the embassy just give me a white paper telling me to wait till I can hear from them. And like you, we emailed them and call and they tell us that its still in normal processing. When I called the first time and inquire, the lady said that they need to do document verification!! They also keep my passport. I just hope that the processing will be done and hope that our visa will be printed and delivered.

Thank you southcalhog!!

Hi jameugiekaxavilon - that white piece of paper did it say "unable to complete the processing of your immigrant visa application (under Section 221(g) of the INA) until you present the following documents? or was it just an AP IV.21 form without needing any additonal documents to complete your case? Were you approved on your interview date but with conditions? It is very important to know what kind of form you were given after your interview in order to assist you further.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsA long, long wait......frustrating and hopeless...

we are in the same situation, almost 3 weeks now, have they told you the naure of the AP?, i mean what exactly are they reviewing, i tried to get them to give me specifics, but they only told me it was normal processing, they kept the passport, the sent her to the 2go window to fill out papers, and we have heard nothing since, i know we must wait, but we would just like to know what we are waiting for, good luck to you guys and if you here anything let us know please, and we will do the same.

Hey Mike dont worry as long as they told Nida that she was approved and sent her to the 2go window to fill out she will receive her visa. I found out from USEM in Manila that process times seem to be a bit longer this time of year. Also what helped me was emailing the USEM www.ivmanilareplies@state.gov and put in the subject line this format: LN, FN, Surname (of your fiance) MNL case# K1 Visa - Priority Date

Briefly within 500 words tell them your concern, that your fiance had been approved back on so date and she has yet to receive her visa etc etc etc...they are very good with replying to emails as long as you follow the format I gave above. Usually 1-2 business days. You will also recieve a comfirmation of your inquiry being recieved.I hope this helps you as it did me when we waited 10 days for our visa to be forwarded to 2go , but recieved greta information from the email system better than calling.

Middle East and North Africa221g

Just a though Moroccogirlny.....there is a list of 9 people we know of from Casablanca that has been sent back to the CIS just from our little group alone. Now if you were to mention this to them, and that we all say that they have violated policy when returning petitions, I am wondering if this might help your case. Lets face it, you were discriminated against because of religion! Now what I am thinking is that maybe if they suspect that you might be pushing towards an investigation of the consulate they might decide against sending back your petition. You know....to shut you up!

Anyone else have a thought on this? Doing this isn't going to help those of us that have already had their petitions sent back, but if it could save just one person some heartache I would be so happy.

WELL Kim asked my fiance if he touched me ......? He had to go into detail..For a k-1 ?? Then she asked him why he cant find a fiance in Morocco? ..The one thing I did read into says that if you have a legal complaint that you want to be taken in consideration it has to be withing the 30 days of the 221g . There is a form to file . Then state the reasons of your belief that it was not a fair interview by law. It is 110$ and a place for the lawyer to sign . Unfortunately I dont have 650$ right now to do this and I only have 1 more day. My interview was March 07...I dont really know , I would suggest if you have the money to contact a good lawyer and have him dispute it if that is what he or she thinks is best within the 30 days. THIS IS SO STRESSFUL >>.>>>grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Hiya Leila .....................I want to say .I understand , I am currently working on this with the sec of state by submitting a long letter . Please feel free to pm me or write an email . I would be happy to listen and let you know what is going on so far with my case that was sent back too. Please feel free to join our group as well. As far as consular officers, they are not to reajudicate approved petitions . I am sorry to differ with the oppinion in here... that it is their job to ask questions and make decisions like that . First of all none of us expect a co to look at someone and say ok you can have a visa . What we do expect is for a fair and legal interview , without predjudice and discrimination. That is our right ....to choose who we love, regardless or race , creed, or religion .Unless there is solid evidence of fraud , or a violation of the application process , IE criminal record , is not legally free to marry , or has a communicable disease . The co does not have the right to take that away from us ... Especially when there is a valid relationship .....documented and approved by dhs . Leila ,...this is not the end ...this will be reopened and you will have a chance to show validity . Keep your chin up . YOU ARE NOT ALONE !!

:luv: WE can all fight and win this unjust suspension!!

We should not shut down a topic just because one person gets their nose out of joint. If there are no more questions or opions so be it but do not shut down because of one person.

You seem to have missed the point. No one has said to shut it down. It's unclear why you seem to believe that's what's being said, but as you acknowledged, you haven't been around long, so you don't know what's what. It's easy to make assumptions; best to ask.

Whether or not it was your intention that is exactly what happened. IMO only because you got your nose out of joint and the others did not want to upset you further. I do not have to be here a long time to see when someone tries to bully others with their intelligence. And if you do not appriciate the thread then move on and let the rest of us form our own relationships and opinions about others in this forum.

I expressesd an opinion and you call it getting my nose out of joimt. Well, you must have yours out of joint too, and you are trying to bully anyone who disagrees with you. You can move on if you don't like me having my say. I was here first.

I sure as heck have seen a bunch of bullying Green which is why I posted the thread farther down... If you can remember certain occurences and post them, it would sure help curtail it and even identify who is constantly doing it

Visa Journey is a great source of information, and has helped many members with their immigration process. It is a lot of work.... a shame to see some members degrade, humiliate, and attack others based on a biased opinion. Such nonsense, as my mother would say!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsHow can my timeline dates change so drastically in one day????
This is horrible, this morning my dates also changed. They were beginning of January for NOA2 but now they are end of January to February. I can't believe that this happened. My whole holiday spirit is dead, I was looking forward to beginning of January. I hope that the estimate is wrong.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsLooking into future: Once my fiancee is approved for K-1
From my understanding, as long as we have a wedding (white dress ....), but we do not register with the state as a husband and wife then its ok. We would like to have some sort of a ceremony for her family before we move to USA and have the real wedding and register as husband and wife. What do you guys think about this??

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsLooking into future: Once my fiancee is approved for K-1
Once my Fiancee gets approved for K-1 Visa from an Embassy, are we allowed to have a wedding in her home country before we both depart to USA. I know that K-1 is a fiancee visa and not a spouse, for a spouse visa you can. But what about K-1 visa?? Thank you for taking time to answer my question. Good luck to everyone on their visa journey.

Once my fiancee needs to pick up her packages from the embassy, can the package 3 be picked up physically by her instead of it being mailed to her. The mail system is very unreliable in Tashkent. Has anyone gone thru this?? Thanks

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsSponsor ?? please advise
Is having a cosponsor as good as being as sponsor? I know that the primary sponsor should be the petitioner, but if a sponsor from the same house hold is fully dedicated for sponsoring, would interview people have have a problem with this? I have graduated from University past May and spend the last 6 months with my fiancee in Tashkent. After returning i found our economy to be in shambles. I am having a difficult time finding a job. But my mother is fully dedicated sponsoring my fiancee. She makes well over the require minimum. I hope this is not a huge problem. Please tell me your opinion. Thank you in advance.

i think if i worked there, i'd probably want to stay all night and day, because i'd feel bad not approving enough people or something, whether its k-1 or something else...thats what i don't understand about them. i would feel really guilty taking a long time.

Unfortunately not everyone feels like you do and i. I think until they are in the same situation as us, they will never know.

The basics of all applications are the same, we have to turn in the same paper work that everyone else does. If there is a hold on an application, that application as it seems to me and from doing research is put a side until it is later looked at. I don't know how you resolve problems, but to resolve a problem you have to work at it. And not just put it aside and start working on other things. For instance, if there is a security problem, the people who are working on your application should commit them self to resolve the security issue ( making calls, faxing ext....) finding out what is the hold up and let the petitioner know. Once again i am happy for the people who are approved in 78 days and think they've been waiting for months like other. I also would like to see your response in the future when you have to wait as long as other JV member.

Obviously the basics are the same, but if every single application was so "basic" then it wouldn't take 6 months or more to be approved. So the ones that are truly basic and straightforward are probably approved more quickly (although this obviously depends on other factors as well) but there are some things we may not know about which make something we think is simple, not. But don't you think that maybe responses to those phone calls/faxes/whatever probably take time? In some cases it might be immediate, and in others, not. So in those cases where it is not immediate, I really do expect that they put the file aside and work on other files, until they hear back from what they are waiting on. I don't think they should get paid to sit and do nothing, and if that was the case, you'd probably be on here complaining about that. Judging by your timeline you are not over the 6 months either. So if anyone is going to get upset or whatever about other people's approvals, then it should be the people who have been waiting over the proposed time. Like I said, I fully realize I could end up being one of the people waiting more than the 6 months, and that is something I am prepared to deal with. I have already been doing the "long distance thing" for a year and a half, so unless i'm crazily unlucky, the wait for this visa is going to be shorter than what I have endured already. And if I really hate it that much, I will cancel the K1 petition etc, and move to England because I have heard their process is much quicker. I am just happy to see approvals for anyone because at least it means things are moving over there! And also very thankful that it sounds like things are moving much quicker now than they were in the past, at CSC atleast.

I may have not hit 180 days exactly but unfortunately i am approaching it. What i am saying is not just from me but from other members frustrations. I am happy for people who are approved, but i am not happy the way the USCIS operates. I promise you that people who have waited 5+ 6+ whatever months have the same thinking about the system. I not here upset for the people who have waited less the others. I am upset with how VSC or CSC operates. Whoever gets approved, of-course its a good thing, so other applicants can be looked at. And i am not complaining, I am merely expressing my point of view of a problem with our system.

congratulations, but man this is so unfair. People are waiting for over 6 months and without any touches or approvals. Yours was under three months? blink.gif

Unfair? blink.gif

You should be happy for the people good.gif

Congrats to the OP star_smile.gif

Don't get me wrong i am happy that at least some people are getting approved. But i question the order in which people are approved. I don't see how VSC or CSC can put aside the petitions that they received in June, August and work on petitions that they received in September and October and so on. As for individuals who get approved i am happy for them, but i am not happy about the way USCIS handles our applications. They should be approved in the order they are received. If there is a problem with an application, they should concentrate on completing that application before they start working on others.

I think that completely depends on what the problem is. Yes, I have only just started this as well, but I think I am still entitled to my opinion and am fully aware I very well could be one of those people waiting 6 months, a year, whatever. BUT, I think it would be really unfair to just stop processing the "easy" applications just because someone else is having a problem with theirs. What if that ONE application takes months by itself to resolve?? No one should work on any other ones until that is finished? Maybe that's not what you meant, and if its not, then disregard what I am saying. But if thats really what you mean, then I think that is crazy. I'm sorry that you may have been unlucky and been waiting a long time, but you aren't the only one, and there are other people on this board that are happy about other people getting approvals.

The way I look at other people's approvals is that it is one less application that can take up their time, and the sooner they can get to mine, or someone else's. I think we all are going through the same thing here, and really need to be SUPPORTIVE because we all know how hard long distance is.

The basics of all applications are the same, we have to turn in the same paper work that everyone else does.
