K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWill this process ever end?
The worst part is definitely over. I don't know much about the K1 process for London but have you checked this thread posted by Nich-Nick, the resident London K1 expert on here: :)

http://www.visajourn...terview-thread/

Good luck, I am sure things will start to move much more quickly from this point.

Paper clips. The USCIS folks take everything apart and configure it the way they want, so don't overcomplicate it.

But that's the I-129, not the same thing as the I-129F.

Edit: Oops, LeftCoastLady beat me to it.

To the OP, if they received your package on the 23rd they have had only a couple of business days to process the contents and issue a NOA1. I am sure you will hear something soon but as Celeste said, your first clue might be the cashing of the check.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresQuestion about typing or hand-writing on the forms
I tend to agree with Inky - it does not matter. We found that there were some things which we simply couldn't type in (can't remember what) so we wrote them in by hand. As long as everything is legible I can't really see why USCIS would care. I'm happy to be corrected if I'm wrong.

Yes, you still need a Police Certificate.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresIs there something I have to do whilst waiting for NOA2?
You will need a Police Certificate. It is valid for a year so you could start that process: http://www.acro.poli...rtificates.aspx

You could also make sure that your vaccination records are up to date. Given your age, you have probably had MMR - that's the one most people need to get done. But it's worth checking everything is up to date and if not getting your GP to give a booster and then getting a printout of your record. If you have to have them done later it will cost you a lot more.
http://photos.state....accinechart.pdf

And make sure you have read this: http://www.visajourn...terview-thread/

Good luck with your journey.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresVaccination Records Missing
I just got my GP to give them to me again. I needed MMR anyway as that wasn't around when I was a child so I only actually needed the Diptheria/Pertussis/Tetanus booster. The varicella vaccination isn't available in the UK anyway, so at the medical they will just ask if you have ever had chicken pox.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNow totally confused

Hello everyone, as you may have noticed i am Rexnar's other half... i have been reading the forums here and was reading one about the size of the wedding, meaning how many guests... if we get married in the US there will be at the most 4 to 5 at the wedding so in this case i hope size doesn't matter.... Now if it was here in Aus there would be heaps of guests so i guess we need to discuss that... i was just curious if it makes a difference is all

We had a courthouse wedding in the US and my husband's daughter was the only guest. We told her we needed her to be the witness, ring bearer, photographer, maid of honour, best woman, chauffeur etc etc :)

Again, that is completely up to you. If she comes here under the VWP she can stay up to 90 days. If she has a tourist visa then it will be up to the date stamped on her I-94 by the CBP. As she would be coming here to visit her USC fiancé, it is definitely worth bringing as much evidence as possible that she intends to return home: return ticket, lease agreement, letter from her employer saying when they expect her back etc etc

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNow totally confused
The previous poster is correct in that the K3 is now obsolete but you will find people are divided between whether the K1 or CR1/IR1 visa is preferable. It is very much a personal decision. You can compare the two routes here: http://www.visajourn...content/compare

Both visas should take considerably less than a year for normal processing although the time will vary by country. My CR1 visa took under 8 months.

The good news is that they have started reviewing your petition. If you can get the RFE response back quickly it shouldn't take much longer to get your NOA2.

You don't need a police certificate for time spent living in the US.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresConfused!!!!!
There is no need to do a K1. He can enter under the VWP if he is only planning to come for a vacation and wedding. Plenty of people travel to the US for a destination wedding. However, as he is marrying a USC, he should bring evidence of his ties to the UK in order to show that he does not intend to stay.

If you both later want to go to the US to live you would apply for a spouse visa - the CR/IR1.

CR1 as well, although for countries other than your country of nationality it seems to be those you have lived in for more than 12 months. http://travel.state....195.html#police

You will need 'police certificates from your present country of residence and all countries where you have lived for 6 months or more since age 16 (Police certificates are also required for accompanying children age 16 or older)'

Just my opinion but I am not sure how it can really help since, as a K1 visa holder, you will not have authorisation to work for several months at least.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresSponsor For K-1 Visa

You can get a co-sponsor that meets the 125% requirement for their own household size plus the foreign fiance(e). The USC petitioner and the co-sponsor will each fill out their own I-134 and provide supporting documents. The co-sponsor also needs to provide proof of being a USC or LPR.
