K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2013 Filers	Called DOS and still they didn't receive our case, will try next week Our timelines are very similar and NVC still hasn't received our case yet either. We got our petition approved on Oct. 24th. We were excited it was going so fast but it seems to slowed down. I hope we get our case number before Thanksgiving. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2013 Filers	You dont have to call the NVC for your case number, but once you get the number you can follow where your petition is online on the CEAC website. So you can see when it leaves the NVC and arrives at the embassy etc.That's basically why we wanted the case number as soon as possible, as reassurance that everything is going to plan with the petition. It wont speed up anything. The phone number we called is 603 334-0700 (that's the NVC). They were very friendly and helpful although we were on hold for about half an hour.   Thanks! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2013 Filers	Update: we called the NVC today and received our case number. It's been just under 3 weeks since we got our NOA2. So now on to the next step!     Congrats! I see we got approved about a 1 week later for our NOA2 so it has been exactly 2 weeks today. Should I be calling NVC for our case number? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2013 Filers	I guess now we just wait another week before calling NVC if they received our files? I'm expecting to go to the interview with my fiancee. Can I just bring the I134 form and New Letter of my Intent to marry with me when I meet her for the interview or does she need it to send to the Consulate? I can also get it done before I see her in December. Also, we plan to do the medical during our Interview to Rio. If they don't get the medical results in time for our interview will our visa be contingent on her passing the medical or do they have to have it before the interview. We both have limited time and can only go to Rio once to do both.   We received out NOA2 hard copy yesterday. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2013 filers	Both Sugarland and Katy are very good areas. Sugarland is a bit more expensive but both have very nice homes. Katy's commute into town is much easier than Sugarland because SL is more populated so traffic in the am and pm is crazy. I did notice that Texas has nice big houses. The apartments must be big too. My friend says she likes it there the only thing is the heat for her. From the house to the car it's hot but inside with the air con she's fine she says. I guess she will get used to it. We seem to be the only may filers conversing lol everyone else has gone quiet. Come on guys join the conversation we are all in this wait together so we might as well keep things rolling till one of us announces some good news. I have to pick my immunisation record up next Thursday since they have to go look for them in the archives. I keep thinking where to begin with packing and boxing stuff up for the move. I have just started getting moving boxes now. I have a ton of nursing books I don't want to leave cos I am going to need them especially my Nclex RN exam ones which I can still refer to in the future. Then looking around for shipping company's that won't charge the earth. I refuse to leave my Vitamix blender behind its the most loved equipment in my kitchen plus it cost way too much money for me to leave it so am going to ship it. God lots to do in such little time. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2013 filers	I thought about getting married at the courthouse since neither of us will have many to invite but my fiancé is against it. So I am trying to plan something small and intimate for just around $2000-$5000. I too have a ton of workout videos but they are just sitting on my entertainment center. I am a Biologist working on a PhD in Environmental Toxicology and my fiancé does construction. There's tons of construction in Texas so I don't see him having any trouble finding work.   Your nursing degree is much needed in the states as their is a shortage of nurses. my sister is a nurse and never has a problem finding work. Atlanta is a nice area, a little pricey but a good place to live and work. I have thought about moving there after graduation.   While online viewing apartments please read the reviews. You don't want to be in a year lease in a bad complex.   I have been thinking about ordering those shakes. I will give them a try Shakeology is great and it's so healthy a little pricey but well worth the money and its help me to control my binging on chocolates. I have a love of sweets so if dink shakeology in the morning I won't feel like junk food during the day.for that its well worth the price. I order mine from Beachbody but they don't deliver to England so it goes to my fiancée and he posts it to me. Yes the apartments are pricey but I want to be in a comfortable home. I was thinking about the gables apartments they look really nice and it has a great gym and very central to where ever I get a job in atlanta. It's funny cos I was thinking about Texas once I have a friend there so was going to visit her to see Houston area. She only just moved there so I guess she is still finding her feet. I have a friend that's a biologist but she went in to teaching. What part of Texas are you living and whats it like there. It's hot my friend keeps saying. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2013 filers	yes every step we have to pay for each person. We have a small wedding with just about 30 guest at the lake house. I already moved into a bigger apartment. I started saving to pay for the visas and medical.   i'm trying to lose weight as well. I have the shaun t's hip hop abs and my apartments have a full gym that I am using so hopefully i'll lose 20-30 lbs before the wedding Hey I have hip hop abs just haven't been consistent with it. I have a xbox 360 and tend to play the zumba games more. I bought the zumba rush and zumba core games. A couple months ago after buying the hip hop abs I bought slim in 6 and did that for about a few weeks till I got bored lol. Not to mention p90x that I bought the last time I was in Atlanta had a week use . To be honest it was just too painful to continue I ached every where in my body lol. My new one to buy is the shaun T focus T25 lol. I drink shakeology chocolate is my favourite I just recently ordered the new vanilla flavour I should get I next week in the post. We plan to go to the court house to get married I am in the process of looking for apartments difficult when I can only look online. If I send him to look he will say its fine when it's not lol. I have to see the place myself. We think about the Atlantic station area to live in Atlanta so we want a two bed. I noticed rent is pretty expensive around that area but when I start working it would be ok. I am a emergency RN nurse and already hold a licence in Georgia so it won't be difficult to get a job. I am petitioning for my fiance and his three kids so we have to do everything times 4!!! Good thing my fiance already has a passport. Yes the money builds up. It's just me going my fiancée is petitioning me. I have a son and daughter but my daughter is staying to finish university in the UK. My son was born in america so he is already a citizen so I guess I only have to pay for one persons medical. It's good to start putting money aside and budgeting from now so thers no delays. Will they charge you guys per person for the medical? What about the AOS is that also per person? If it is that is a lot of money. It is best to prepare in advance though. I almost had a heart attack when they charged me £45.00. And I had to request my immunisation record which they charge for as we'll. honestly this whole process is costing way too much money everyone that touches anything related to immigration charges. It doesn't stop cos medical and visa fees is another expense. Then AOS is also costly. I guess we are given no choice if we want things done we have to pay the fees. Anyway that's my rant today lol. Don't expect a quick result because it will disappoint you later. Figure 8 months minimum for the process. Your under Csc I see. You filed feb so yes your time should be near. We filed may so we are jus speculating over weather they have truelly started to touch may filers or this person was just one of those lucky ones or if its the country they came from or it's a expedite. Looks like everyone's estimated adjudication date sped up by 1 month last week. Yes only one rfe as per Igors list. Probably something minor left out of application. No may filers approved as yet but we are getting close since march and April are being approved now. Plus the transfer of late jan and feb filers to tsc gives us hope that Vermont will soon start to touch may files soon. Fingers crossed we don't do more that 3-4 months wait altogether. I am actually getting all of the needed paperwork together now so we have everything once that NOA2 and interview comes around A few years back a friend of mine filed and it literally took 3 months to be approved. It seems the work load has increased. You were right the date changed on mine too from nov 16 to October 25th. CSC only approved 1 May petition and it was from Haiti and when asked the petitioner said she did not request an expedite VSC has picked up speed....fingers crossed!!! I had a question, when the noa2 gets approved, will it affect there final decision at the interview, if I can't come with my fiance???? I just started a new job. I'm an elementary school teacher and if we get our application approved sometime within this year, ( praying for that to happen) I won't be able to fly out to Madagscar. Any comments???? Hi I think if you just want to give some moral support and your able to go with her then that's great but I don't think it's really required. Some embassy's don't allow people in with you anyway. And from what I have read its fairly straight forward most times unless they have doubts about the relationship. I guess it kind of early for Vermont to have gotten round to may yet. We would probably need to give another few more months to start seeing the rfes and noa2s. We may Filets only have 48 recorded cases on igors list. there most probably other applicants that hare not on The forum or have not filled out their timelines.could be that around this time of year business is slower for USCIS? giving the, a chance to catchup with their work loads.Previous months have had high k1 filers recorded for the Vermont list. All new comers under may welcome to the group and wishing all a speedy noa1 for those still waiting and a speedy noa2 for those who have already received noa1. Now guys it would be great if we can keep each other informed of what happening with individual processes. So those who have not filled out their timelines pls do so so we can all be helpful to each other during this long wait. The good news is Vermont seems to be transferring files to get within the 5 months processing time. I have checked the website they still have not changed the date yet. It's still showing 15 October as the people they are processing. I do however know that's not the case since they transferred at least 2-3 months worth of files to other local centres for processing I would presume the waiting time is either less for the rest of us or at least within the 5 months they say it takes. We have a friend who filed in January and was transferred to another location and were getting worried! Let's hope it means things will go faster for us! No change in my timeline calculation yet, but it did say on the USCIS website that Vermont was down to a 5.5 month processing time!      My main worry now is how long it's going to take his embassy to process the visa if we're approved It looks like they're taking 4 months! Sounds ridiculous to me...   Wow not checked since a few days now but the last time I saw the USCIS site it was dated October 15 . So I gues the file transfers have put them back on track. We got the noa1 email the 8th of may and now the hard copy has arrived on the 29th of may. Wow I really began to blame the poor mail man thinking he stuck it in the wrong mail box. It definitely doesn't seem like first come first served!  Aside from an expedite I'm unaware of any other considerations that might get someone to the front of the line, but then I'm not very familiar with the inside workings of USCIS - oh well, I'm happy for them!!! Yes it does seem like things will start working out for nov de filers finally now there files are being transferred to other offices . I do hope so for them.
