oh that s very sweet of you guys, thanks alot for everything noura and said, thanks alot everybody ,and i pray allah for everyone to be together and have a nice life .

well the trip was not smooth at all specially in JFK was a nightmare :wacko:

was running left and right, up and down all the way at the airport ,asking this asking that at times NO one to ask, i just find myself somwhere alll alone ,well was all because of stupid immigration process and then work stamp.
as soon as plane landed in JFK which was late about 30 mns i tried to get my hand lagages to leave the plane as soon as possible but was shocked when i found tooooooooooo many ppl waiting ,because other planes landed right before ours from turkey,libanon i think ,italy ... so there were to many immigrants, wanted to call my princess but i couldnt because not allowed to use phone in that area, then stuck in the other place where to get work stamp, the only thing is that i didnt lost my bags and they never looked at them, so on my way to exit, i asked a police officer ,sir should just leave without to look in my bags, he said no you are fine or you want me to look ,i said its up to you sir ,he smiled and said no sir that s fine you can go, good luck.i said thanks sir. once am outside i went to delta place but none was there, so i started to figured it myslef ,took different elevetors, allees,....with my too big heaviy bags and to hand lagage :blink:

took me forever to find myself at delta terminal, but not finished yet i asked they told me its international terminal and that i should go to domestic one oh damn :angry:

i wanted to scream .so took me forever again to get that domestic place ,luckily i found that old lady was so nice ,helped me to get a new ticket was 7 pm ,which was aboarding time, plane leave at 730, she asked me to take jacket off and RUN to gate 25 , i was like well just show me which direction she was like this way ,just RUN ,if not you gonna stay here till morning, i said thanks alot ,she helped me thru security stuff,she took my belt off hahahaha, put my hand lagage in that machine with my shoes, told the officers to hurry up ,they did it very fast ,once am clear i put on my shoes belt in hand ,jacket in other hand runing with my bags ,ppl was looking at me but i didnt care

was too long before i find gate 25 ,it s the same minute when i heard my name at the whole airport, i found many ppl on teh gate but i went straight to the officer and told him that am gonna miss my flight and that i just heard my name ,so they checked my ticket and told me its fine and go ,i run to the plane , was sweating . once am with planes and trucks i asked guys there about plane one was not sure, other didnt hear me, was loud out there ,till some youngman showed me the plane i was like are you sure ?because was a baby plane too small

i hqd to ask a nice lady in the plane, she said yes welcome aboard sir ,i said thank you madam, she took me to my place ,and closed the door ,then called my carrie to let her knoz am ok and am coming to her .allah sent me that nice girl in atlanta aiport thanks leila ,as soon as i got off she asked me are you simo i said yes ,then took me a picture ,and said your wife is waiting for you am gonna take you to her, was so happy she helped me alot i was so exhausted .
was my best moment to see my princess with nours on phone, held eachother, talked to noura for a while got my bags , leila left then we went home ,SWEET HOME :thumbs:

that was all but new experience though ,am sure i have more waiting for me .

Case pending what do the stages mean?

Mohamed had his interview on September 26th and we have been eagerly waiting for 8 weeks to hear about his visa. I have called the Department of State several times and all they can say is the case is still pending. Thanks to all of you who post here, I learned that there are different stages. So today when I called I asked what stages were still pending. They said that stage 1 and 3 had cleared but stage 2 was still pending. It seems strange that they skipped a stage? Does anyone know what stage 1, 2 and 3 stand for? I e-mailed casa to have them contact the clearing office. If anyone knows anything about these stages could you please let me know? Thank you so much! Anyone else had an interview in September and are still waiting? I feel like I am the only one

my name is mohamed too from morocco lived in marrakesh now in atlanta with my wife ,we had horrible process too, i have a K1 successful interview about 2 weeks later they called to bring passport ,they took it and said to wait for a call but they never called ,my fiancee was calling DOS every single day and we got in PENDING PENDING PENDING ...then they called to get passport back without the visa and said back to AP ,so my damn AP took about 4 MONTHS before i finally got the visa ,and all that because my name is mohamed, so the problem is that in their stupid system it takes long time to issue the visa, so dont be scared he will get the visa as soon as the security clearences are done inchallah .

She MUST attend the CFO seminar first before amending her (maiden) passport. DFA will not accept her application without the CFO certificate.

interview date after NVC approval for algerias !

hi everyone,

the NVC approved our case 5 days ago and now we are waiting for an interview date to be scheduled.
how many days does it take the NVC for schedule an interview date for our case ?
i'm from algeria, the interview would take place in US embassy of algeria.
is there any algerian member who recently got approved and got an interview date scheduled ?

hey guys,

well, i am the beneficiary from algeria, finally our case is completed at the NVC last week, and yesterday i got an email from NVC stating that we got an interview date, the email was attached with a PDF forma, the name of that form is: p4 for neopost ds-1200.pdf
the form says that i need to bring it with me to the Embassy at the interview date which it is scheduled for : May, 9th, 2013. so it would be withing 26 days from today.
my question is:
does 05/09/2013 is my date interview or i still need to call the embassy and schedule an interview date ?
because i have read many threads that the beneficiary calls the embassy or email them to schedule an interview date which is very hard to reach them

or since the NVC mentioned the date in that P4 forma means that is not nessesary to confirm with the embassy ?

Yes, this is absolutely true.
If time is not an issue, go ahead and wait. However, by checking NVC payment status daily, you can be proactive and shave days, even weeks, off of the processing times.

I spoke with NVC today as you suggested and I am happy to report that you were absolutely correct. They told me my I-864 (Affidavit of Support) had been received and approved and that I should not wait to hear from them to submit the IV applcation. Unfortunantly, I will not have the DS-232 probably until the end of next week, as my wife is sending it, along with the "police clearance" and official birth certificate, from the Philippines by way of a returning relative, who will then have mail it to me from New York. I will then add some supporting documents that I have here and send it on to NVC once I get a copy of her passport to add to it. I will probably have to wait a bit longer (a few days) for her to send me a copy of her new passport as she hasn't received it yet. Do you think I should go ahead and send what I have as soon as I can and send the passport copy via email when I get it or wait and send it all together? We have been apart for almost a year, but every day we can speed up the process is a day that I will appreciate more.

Lost in the steps toward her visa

It appears that my wife and I are in the same phase of the "Journey" as you. It's a long story, but we met in the US several years ago, we married, then her Visa expired and she went into removal proceddings. She was granted voluntary departure and returned to the Philippines, as ordered, last May. Since then Our I-130 has been approved and now resides with NVC. I have payed all the fees ($88 and $404) to NVC and sent in the Affidavit of Support. My wife has completed her IV form and is sending it and the supporting documents to me via a returning relative. She is waiting for her new passport to send me a copy of that as well via email or fax. I have not heard from NVC since they received the I-864. That was 8 business days ago. I have been waiting for them to tell me the next move. They have been incredibly fast and efficient compared to USCIS. Everything is emailed and bank drafted. Very nice after the slow crawl we did through USCIS and the Board of Appeals. So what I am hearing here is that I should not wait for NVC to request the IV application, but rather send it as soon as I can and call them about our case everyday. Is this the true?

IV question

I sent my wifes IV off to NVC on the April 18th...Tax Day. I used USPS certified Priority Mail and they said it should arrive tomorrow, Thursday, April 21st. How will I know when it is "in the system" at NVC? Could it be the day after they recieve it?

She is in the Philipppines and will be interviewing in Manila. From what I can tell by reading other similar timetables in this group, we should know when the interview is scheduled in about 2 weeks. Does this sound right?

NVC so slowwwwww!!! is it normal?

NVC really takes so long because of too much paper work.. there's nothing u can do but to wait patiently.. you can also call the NVC every friday because that's the time they have updates.. their AVR is always delayed.. actually they already received your paper its just that they cant give any updates unless they already reviewed it.. in my case we sent the package to NVC February and we got interview date April 15..it took us 2 months... Have faith and pray, pray, pray.... Good Luck!

When I sent my AOS, they recieved and approved it fairly quickly...a few days I have been very pleased with the response times of NVC. I am accustomed to the snails pace at USCIS though. I also sent my wifes IV packet in this past Monday 4/18 and NVC should recieve it tomorrow 4/21. I really wish I had a good idea about how long it will take to schedule an interview and how much time between when the interview is scheduled and when it actually occurs. I am planning on attending the interview with her in Manila and I would really to get my plane ticket now before prices go way up. Anybody have any ideas on this?

SIGN IT FAILED AT NVC

Okay, I sent my wifes IV packet on April 18 via certified priority mail and it wss delivered on April 21. If I am tryingto find out when SIF is for me where do I go to "sign-in". What "payment portal" are you refering to? Also, how will we be notified of CC and interview date. Is there a way I can check on-line?

I pretty much got the same message from NVC as you did. Just waiting now. Congrats on fulfilling the HHR. Such a stupid law. Good luck to us both...I will follow your progress.

Our case was 'closed' April 27th, we are still waiting. I posted not so long ago, asking questions similar to yours. The message we received said it was going to take 8 weeks and I was asking the forum folks whether this was a realistic estimate. I got the answer saying it was going to take 1-2 weeks to schedule the interview. However, I am not sure where people get this information. And I have no idea what form of notification you will receive. There should be a letter from the embassy, yes, but I don't know whether there's anything NVC sends on their behalf.

Awaiting interview date

After case complete, it took my wife's interview about 2+ months to be scheduled. This is a mega-embassy, which conducts interviews for about 12 african countries within the region. Give it at least 2.5 - 3 months. Feel free to msg me on any specific questions....

Thanks for your reply , I just called Nvc they said they are schedulling for June interview , she said that June is open but not garanteed. Finger crossed it was a very long journey and very depressing .

Becoming Hopeless

its really disheartening to see people with priority dates and approval dates that are 3 weeks later than yours already have case complete and interview dates! I still have not received any invoices from the nvc and cannot pay any fees yet even though its been 25 days and 20 business days since my case number was first assigned at the nvc. I've called nvc everyday and all they tell me is that there is no reason for alarm and my case is running a normal timeline. Today when i called nvc i asked to talk to a supervisor so i was able to talk to a supervisor named Anna, she was less than helpful and every time i tried to speak she cut me off and kept saying "its on schedule sir", "its on schedule sir" it really pissed me off how rude she was. Has anyone ever had to wait this long to be able to pay their fees and start their case????????//

we had a problem where they sent the invoice but the invoice wasn't recorded in their system at the time. so i called the NVC and spoke with someone who stated they would have the supervisor look into the issue and that the system probably had an error of some sort and that they would fix it. i called back a week later to check and 2 days later we received our invoice in which i was able to pay. sometimes their system has issues and it isn't perfect, you just need to be persistent and keep calling them to find out what is going on. also, make sure you have registered the e-mails accounts properly so that they will notify you via e-mail. really in this situaition the best thing you can do is e-mail an inquiry to NVCInquiry@state.gov with the following information.

I had my interview this morning I woke up at 5am because I couldn't sleep, I was that nervous. The whole process was pretty easy; a lot of waiting, but the interview itself lasted about 3 minutes only. I was like, don't you want to keep my photocopies? Don't you want to see my pictures? He said no, we have everything we need. I was surprised by that as every guide says to take photocopies of your docs. Maybe they scan them these days?? Anyway, I was a little over prepared but that's ok. I am so happy to say I have been approved!! I know this is only the start of a long journey but after more than 7 months of waiting, I am so glad this part is nearly over.

Thanks for being my buddies these last few months, you've helped me more than you know. Even though I don't post everyday, I do read this thread everyday and will continue to do so until everyone has NOA2 and beyond.

Good luck to you all, especially those still waiting for NOA2! We'll be with our loved ones soooon!
