IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Everyone going through Administrative Processing in ISLAMABAD	Sallam all, Last week i got an email from embassy asking to provide them my brothers names and same day i sent them my brothers names and their birth dates at tuesday we did confirm from them if they received email and DOS operator said yeh they have updated the case and they received the email and the case is in AP , My wife call them every thursday to ask about updates and yesterday she have been trying to call them but their phone lines were bussy and my wife noticed that they have put another voice on their phones that they might be slow to answer them because they are helping Haiti people so DOS is bussy and even today my wife called them but no response from them. i dont think Haiti has anything to do with ISL as ISL is not in Haiti where there was earthquake, Hopefull786 just ask ur husband to buy tickets as he will receive his visa very soon insha Allah. what???? ha ha ha ha ha.... I dont believe this. ha ha... Haiti.. They are busy with helping Haiti. Its American embassy in Islamabad. America can deal with it... Embassy doesnt need to worry about it sitting in our third world country (as they like to call it) and they need to get their work done for us. They are in Islamabad to serve us ... not Haiti... Please always mention your case number the subject line of your email.. Islamabad case numbers usually start with the letters ISL followed by 10 digits. (Example: ISL2009800019). Today i received this email from ISL and they want my brothers names , i have questions is my case back from DOS now to the embassy, and if not then are they going to put me on a longer AP? will they include my brothers name in their name check system ? I have sent them names of my brothers and their date of birth. This is confusing ! Wow!!! Im noticing you are on your 5th month of AP and they are still doing such intensive investigation. After reading some of the posts on the last page of this thread.... about how are they investigating during AP asking more information about siblings and their DOBs.... and all that special screening.... I have come to the thought... It only targets one's dignity. And I guess its not worth it. All the AP processing, minimum time to the infinite time... possessing right to not to disclose any information is all non sense.... Applying to USA has only become pain in the butt!!! Either we keep our dignities by staying wherever we are or loose it going through all this. Man...things are getting worst after that Christmas plane event. Usmomo, I was sent 'interview preparation' link in my appointment letter. I found almost all of the medical examination info there. This is their panel physician list, depending on which city you are in, you can contact them and confirm. These physicians are there because only they know all the requirements. Im trying to get everything together to send it to my husband in Pakistan. My uncle took more than half of my nikkah pictures a year back with a promise that he will return those. Today I asked him for the pictures cuz we need them as proof for the interview. He is like I dunt have them . I know he has them all..... He is just giving me trouble.. arggggghhhh.... I am so mad....I have to find a way to get those pictures from him.... but anyways I have some on my fb and also my husband have some.... hopefully we ll be good with those if my uncle wont give me the rest of them . Its a big thing for me atleast We got an interview call today. Wow!!! NVC contacted us on Dec 31st to tell that the case is being transfered to Islamabad. I had an image that it will take another 2 to 3 months for them to schedule an interview. Today is January 11th and we got an interview call. I am so happy mashallah. Its a big thing for me since Im waiting to see my husband since last 1 and half year. Thanks to Allah that we are another step forward. The interview is on February 17th. Hopefully everything goes fine. Also If anyone else has interview around the same time(?). I pray to have some good experience with interview aftermaths (no or short AP). Fiesal and Mumtaz: I am not sure if I am right person to do it. But I have like printed this spreadsheet so I can have a look at it time to time in my room. It makes me feel so positive and better. I am almost around VJ once or twice a day now. It makes me feel better. So not sure if i can do it. If you guys dunt find anyone else I can become your last option. But consider others who have been here before me and since quite a while. Please anyone let me know if you have interview in Islamabad around the same time. So i think there's no issue with the form being expired. I still wonder whats the problem. When I got this last response from NVC about them forwarding case to ISb, I called them and asked in detail. So the operator was like, your husband needs to bring the form to the interview and wait until we schedule the interview. I was like OK!!!!!.... But I was wondering if I can call them back some time and ask them how long would they take to schedule a date for us. Anyways lets see how it goes.. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Everyone going through Administrative Processing in ISLAMABAD	hi all, We had our case completed on 17th Alhamdolilllah, I was issued RFE , asking us to bring another I-864a completed and signed along with Federal Tax returns from Co sponser at the time of interview, Has this happened to anyone before? Should we be worrying abt it? I have read about RFEs for Fresh PCC from pakistan at the time of interview but we thought this is something new? Is it? Kindly reply me ur opinion matters alot to me! Praying n wishing best for everyone! We also have been asked for I-864 to be presented at the interview..... Reading through this forum I have not come across such case. Feels like everyone else have had no probs with I 864. I am applying from US and NVC should deal with it.... I dont know. My case status: NVC forwarded my husband's case to ISL embassy as of Dec 31st 2009 Here's whats in my plate I had my nikkah on august 8th 2008. I was in Pakistan only for 20 days since my fall classes were starting soon. My I 130 for my husband was applied in Febraury... why so late... because of my retarded uncle.... My parents passed away and I love with my uncle's family... and he had all these family politics issues going on... and he didnt even let me apply.... I have no income since I do not work for now.. My uncle had to become a co sponsor with me (urgggghhh).... My attorney sent him the papers of ' affidavit of financial support' to be filled in.... he didnt let me know and forgot about them for 4 months..... ( Please note that I do not have a good relationship with my uncle thats why there is almost no communication between us.... he will only talk to me when he has to yell at me).. so i cudnt figure it out from my uncle then I had to call the lawyer and almost yelled at his assistant.... She called my uncle and asked for docs and he said he dont have any info about these docs.... anyways so somehow i made him send those documents to the attorney to be sent to the lawyers.... 3 times it happened that NVC had issues with the docs..... But this time they forwarded my case to the embassy and asked us to take the new I 864 (affidavit of financial support) with him to the interniew. They still need to schedule the interview date for my hubs. I was at my attorney's office yesterday and we cudnt figure out anything about what problem NVC has.... We have all the tax return proofs.... they are mentioning stuff that the form needs to be filled in with blue or blank ink (duhhhh ofcourse we did that). then the total income mentioned on the form does not equal the other figures... I check that with my attorney and it does equal... I dont know whats going on..... Now I am assuming that since we have had probs with NVC and my husband is required to take I 864 with him to the interview with him..... FORGET ABOUT AP THE INTERVIEW STEP ITSELF IS NOT GONA BE AN EASY ONE ANYMORE. I AM GONA SEND A NEWLY FILLED I864 TO MY HUBS SO HE CAN TAKE IT TO THE INTERVIEW. ALSO WE ARE WAITING FOR INTERVIEW DATE TO BE SCHEDULED. Guys trust me everyhthing has been so hard on me... My uncle was about to kick me out of his house.... I graduated from college in May 2009 and still have no job.. been trying so hard.... Times are so rough on me.... I am under such depression that I cant keep myself back on normal track.... I so want to be with my husband.... But for my family It almost impossible to take me to pakistan and od my rukhsati over there.... my uncle just want to see me stuck and helpless...... He wont let me go to pakistan just like tht. so many family issues... I was only waiting for what happens at the interview.... so counfused and depressed.... All I can do is miss my parents, my husband, cry and pray to Allah. I dont know after all this problem from NVC how is it gona be like at the interview... and then this AP period. ...... SLMCEC flowchart and instructions (thanks to Sheriff Uling, Silllygirl and Rea,it was such a big help!) 7. payment of Php10,027.45 (as of Sept. 4,2008 exchange rate) DAY 1- Sept. 04 -arrived 1:15pm at St. Lukes -showed USEM letter (both original and photocopy) to entrance guard,guard stamped orig letter and handed me the forms to be filled up,returned USEM letter,checking of bag -filled up forms on the left side (answer questions with check marks only) NOTE: take note of your petitioner's address,contact number and your intended POE 'coz you have to put them in the forms too -went to digital photo room behind USA counter for picture taking -handed forms and passport to lady staff,asked questions to check if data is correct,gave 1 pc 2x2 picture -went to 5th flr for payment -went down to 3rd flr for XRay,handed forms and passport to counter lady on the left side,took a seat and waited for my name to be called -after being called,lady asked me to sign 4 forms,asked for my name and birthday -took a seat,called me again and told me to go to the changing room on the right side and wait for my turn -went up to 4th flr for blood extraction and pregnancy test -handed forms and passport to the counter,gave me HIV consent form to sign,took a seat and waited for my name to be called -when called,gave consent form back to counter,gave me urine container together with my forms and passport -went inside Blood Extraction room and waited for my turn -handed forms and passport,got blood from my left arm (actually both left and right,doc said she cant get enough blood from left so had to get from right too.... ) -went inside CR for urine sample,handed the urine container to doc,she told me to wait outside for my name to be called -when called,gave me back my forms and passport -went up to 5th flr for Vital Signs,Eye Check and Physical Exam -handed forms and passport to "Vital Signs" table -nurse took my height and weight measurements,then told me to go inside "Eye Check" room and waited for my turn (be sure to bring your contact lens kit if you're wearing your lenses coz they will tell you to remove it for the eye check) -went to "Vital Signs" table again and had my Blood Pressure and Pulse Rate checked -gave my forms and passport to USA counter then waited for my name to be called -after being called,they gave me a number and told me to go to Room 7 for my Physical Exam,gave me back my forms and passport -inside the room,i was asked several questions from the form about my medical history (previous operations/seizures, pregnancy/abortion/miscarriages, any suicide attempt, any heart illness or TB infection,WHEN WAS THE FIRST DAY OF MY LAST MENSES..) i was asked that question several times in almost all departments so LADIES pls TAKE NOTE of your last menstrual period from the first to the last day coz they will ask you about that... -after finishing all the questions from the forms,she asked me to remove ALL my clothes (and underwear) and lie down on the bed behind her. then she checked my eyes,mouth,breasts,navel (she noticed my navel ring) and then she asked me to roll up my knees,facing the wall and checked my "behind". she also asked me if i had chicken pox already,i said not yet. she took notes of what she saw,so far she didn't see anything suspicious.. and then im done (all for 5 mins) -went back to US counter and showed my forms and passport,told me to go to 2nd flr for Immunization Interview -went to check out counter and gave my forms and passport (there was no line inside so i was asked to go directly inside) -lady doctor asked me my name,birthday and age,then asked when was the first day of my last menses. this time,she went far by asking when was the last time i had sexual contact with my fiance (she even asked for specific dates when.... darn... ) then gave me 2 choices where i want to have my vaccinations,i said "here" coz it's been paid for already. *vaccinations cannot be done if pregnant so they asked me to come back on the day of my menses this month for a PT redo,if proven negative then that's the only time i can have my vaccine shots. -went to check out counter and gave my forms and passport,lady gave me a receipt and stub with my passport,was told to come back the next day for the results.. *SIGH* and that was my first LONG day so far,got done by 5:15pm....... had to come back for the LOOOOONG wait.... DAY 2- Sept. 05 -arrived 1pm at St. Lukes -showed guard my receipt and stub,put a stamp in my receipt that says Immunization Area 2nd Flr. -went to 2nd Flr.,handed my receipt and stub to the guy in the counter and told me to wait for my name to be called (darn,this must be my longest wait,i waited 2 1/2 hours for my name,about 3:30pm when they did! and i was soooo hungry and cold by then... ) -was told to go down to Counter A Ground Flr. -asked for my passport and 2 pcs 2x2 pics,gave me back my receipt and stub and told me to wait for my name to be called -was called to Counter E (lady showed me my forms to check if my names have correct spelling,correct birth date and case number. she handed me the vaccination documentation worksheet and was told to come back on the day of my menses for my PT redo and would have the vaccinations if result is NEGATIVE otherwise,i'll have to take them in the US when i get there,she also told me that they will be forwarding my passport together with my medical results directly to USEM..) *I therefore conclude that................... I PASSED!!!! After the long tiring days of waiting,it all paid off.... and i'm glad this 1st stage of worrying is over (just wait till i get my vaccine shots... ooooohh... ) First of all,i'd like to thank HIM above for helping me make it through, my fellow VJers for the prayers and good luck's..... special thanks to BLUEMIST (for her never-ending tips and advices),VIDA (for the support),LADY23 (for the information),SHERIFF ULING (for the really helpful guidelines), SILLYGIRL and REA (for the really helpful instructions and flowcharts,made my day easy...) We did not show any financial co-mingling for the year 2009. There wasn't a lot, because John didn't work in 2009, but we will try to get some old bank statements. The fact that we just bought a house together should help. We are relieved, though-- an RFE means they didn't lose our file and someone actually looked at it! Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 September 2011 Filers	Well, we didn't receive the dreaded "security checks" letter yet, but we did get a letter regarding the service request we filed on August 20. It said "Your case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action within 60 days of the date of this letter." We liked what they told Sen. Isakson's office better (30 days). Anyway, the postscript on the letter said that we are required BY LAW to change our address within 10 days of moving. We did not realize it was 10 days, so we, with much gnashing of teeth, filed our change of address online. Of course halfway through we realized that our browser was incompatible, and then learned that all Mac-compatible browsers are incompatible, and it only works with IE. So after cranking up an ancient Toshiba we had in a box in the closet, we started all over again and refiled the online AR-11 to change our address. Then we realized that it will let you change your address for the I-751, but not the CR189. So we called USCIS (It's been an awesome Tuesday night around here!) and the customer service representative told us that we didn't need to call and that we didn't need to change the address on the CR189. (My guess is that this is why so many address changes fail at USCIS. The CR189 doesn't know what the I-751 is doing. That's a guess.) We're buckling our seatbelts. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 September 2011 Filers	We called USCIS again tonight (30 days since original service request) with hilarious results. The first representative couldn't file another service request, for some reason, so she forwarded me to some other department. We waited on hold for 25 minutes. The next representative who got on the line first chided me for being TOO LOUD! TOO LOUD!, which was a new one. Then, as she rattled off the script of what she was supposed to say to me, there was something in it about which I was confused, so I asked (nicely, I might add) for clarification. "YOU WANT TO CALL BACK?" she yelled at me. "I know I have an accent but that is no reason for you not to understand me!" I mean, the woman went unhinged! I said, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, nobody said anything about your accent, ma'am. I'm asking for clarification about your point." She calmed down, but then told me that I-751 applications "just take a long time." Thanks. Then she proceeded to finish reading me the script and filed an additional service request, which she read aloud to me as she typed. It was something like, "Applicant has been waiting a long time. Please approve applicant soon." So, in summary, it seemed like a totally ineffective waste of 30 minutes. Still no word from our senator's office. I don't know whether to be comforted or alarmed by the fact that GA-Guy just joined the thread-- he's from the same city with the same NOA1 date. I'm just about ready to do that myself, but I don't want to look unreasonable. When is it Senator Time? Just wanted to let the rest of you still waiting on your new card know that Infopass appointment did not provide me with any useful information in terms of timescale when I could expect my approval. The officer did not want to give a thing about it away. But since he did stamp my passport with extension till August 2013, I'm assuming that I shan't be seeing my 10 year green card any time soon. The operator told us that "15 days is what we're told to say," but she couldn't do anything for another 15 days. I asked her at which point she recommended that we contact our congressman, and she said that if they couldn't do anything for us past the 30 day mark, it was time. DEEP SIGH. He also said that the August 19 processing date was merely an "estimate." I'm really, really hoping we hear something next week! We've bought a house and we want to move, but I've heard so many horror stories about changing an address with USCIS that I don't even want to try it. John & Mary, did you have any luck with the service call? I was thinking the same about calling them but never got round to it. Did they just fob you of with another 30/60 days wait? I think that if I don't hear anything by mid August, I might have to force an issue by applying for naturalization, even if I don't really want to become naturalized. I thought for sure we'd be on the front end of the list for the ROC because we've been at the end of the line for everything else so far. At the rate we tend to go, I'm just going to assume that we won't receive a green card until after we've applied for naturalization in September. I'm happy to see that MONKEYJUICE received their notice, but what is this GAP???? :-( It seems people later than this group (which includes me) are getting their cards. I know I shouldn't stress... but I am! It's getting very close to my moving day, so please!!!! I hope it comes soon. No one is getting RFE's? That's great! I think a lot of people from August and some Sept filers have got their NOA2...I dont know whether we can map this process. It seems too unpredictable right now. This is the latest as of 2/14/12. However, VJ'er with receipt date July 25th got NOA2 today. What's going on. Can't get straight answers from anyone least of whom--USCIS.
