The 11-18-2008 must be a typo in her timeline because her very first post indicates she filed on Feb 16. hmmmmm. Based on her timeline info and AOS approval of 11/14 if they did file on Feb 16 they would have been 90 days over or so. I'm sure USCIS would issue a prompt approval with that kind of attention to detail. Cest La Vie!

Lives in Jacksonville, FL (residents in FL file at VSC per www uscis.gov)
Files at CSC on Feb 16th
Biometrics on March 24 (Tuesday)
Letter in hand on March 27 (Friday) from California saying her husband is approved.

I assume your local office is Jacksonville, FL and you did indeed file at the CSC as your information suggests. Nice of them to let you file there when the rest of us in the SE file in Vermont. Maybe that is the trick for us VSC'ers is to file in the wrong service center.

Approved! Onward to Citizenship

Today my wife received approval for removal of conditions. She is not aware of the news yet since she is in Thailand and it is rather early. I will call her shortly and give her the good news. Actually I alread tried but no answer.

Date of decision on the letter is 4/30/2009. She still has the one year extension letter but I guess I'll take this back to Thailand with me when I return on 5/13 unless the PGC arrives before then. She will be so excited and I am SO relieved! See everyone on the citizenship thread. On May 1 she became eligible so when we return from Thailand May 28th we will begin that journey.

Hard to believe that you filed the address change promptly and still have troubles. My friend and his wife never even filed an address change before they filed the I-751 and had been living in a new location for 9 months. Not only were they approved but quickly. They filed a month after us and were approved a month earlier. This whole system is whacked.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have made all the changes and will mail it first thing this morning. Now I just hope she does not start getting "Have you registered for selective service" like the last time. I also had to deal with that in addition to correcting the USCIS error in 2006.

On July 2nd I received my new 10 year Green Card in the mail. The information on this Green Card has my sex as "M" when it should be "F" due to U.S.C.I.S administrative error. This happened when I received my conditional Green Card as well in 2006. I am not sure what is causing the same error to be repeated again but I have included documentation supporting that I am female along with the I-90 form. Please make the correction and mail my new Green Card as soon as possible. My husband and I will be travelling out of the country in the next three months and would like to have the new Green Card prior to our travels.

Included in this package are the following:
-A copy of my information page from my Thai passport
-A copy of my marriage certificate to XXXXXXXXXX
-A copy of my daughter XXXX's birth certificate
-A copy of my Georgia I.D.
-A copy of my Thai Birth Certificate
-The original 10 year Green Card I received on July 02, 2009

My case was transferred to the California Service Center on March 24 and I received the letter stating that I was approved for removal of conditions on April 30, 2009. The Green Card arrived today with the administrative error. I appreciate any help you can offer in handling this in a timely and efficient manner. Also, do you have any suggestions for avoiding this same issue again in the future.

Maybe I missed it but do we mail the incorrect green card back to USCIS or just a copy? I cannot remember what I did for the last mistake on the CGC. I did read the information but do not remember seeing that mailing it back was required. What a pain.

My wife was approved with a CGC on 08/06/2006. We filed this year for removal of conditions and were approved on 04/30/2009. We received the card today in the mail and her sex is listed as M. So, the information on the card is WRONG. What is causing me a great deal of frustration is this also happened on her CGC. I filed the first time and got the information corrected and now I have to file a form again because USCIS made the same mistake again. I am miffed to say the least. Should I schedule an infopass appointment, call my congressman, picket outside the ATL USCIS office or just bite the bullet and submit the paperwork again. Unbelievable.

You think they work in batches? I have a different theory based on my friends application and the myriad of problems in their application WHICH WAS APPROVED in about 6 months.

I think there are government workers who are expected to complete a certain amount of I-751 applications in a day or a week. Some of those employees just stamp "approved" with very little scrutiny of the applicant or the forms. Trust me when I say there were several RED flags on our friends application including a new address, a letter asking for the last name to be changed on the new card and a letter from the person who originally sponsored her financially when she arrived to withdraw that sponsorship. Still a quick approval with no questions asked. I also think there are other government employees who actually take the time to make sure all the t's are crossed and i's dotted and basically do their job. Just my two cents.

Should I call? We are leaving April 15th for Thailand. We still have 9 days to get the magic letter and with a LOT of luck the PGC in the mail but I'm not feeling to optimistic. I'm also sweating that while we are away we will get a nice little RFE or letter for an interview in Atlanta. I guess as long as we have the one year extension letter all will be okay and someone will be checking the mail for me.

I just knew with a transfer date to CSC of 2/25 that all would be perfect with the world. Certainly did not expect it until after the trip if it had stayed at VSC. It really is NEVER easy.

It is GREAT to see all of the 2/11 transfers getting approved. I'm hoping that our transfer date of 2/25 means we are next in line. Hopefully the birth certificate for our daughter and the affidavits will be enough to keep us from having an interview but you just never know.

Went to the mailbox today and there was a letter from California and I was excited even though I did not see the U.S.C.I.S. logo. Turned out to just be a coupon for a free Dr. Pepper.

We Wont have any Updates/Approvals on this forum until people go come home from work and check their mailboxes in the evening..Online status and email updates are not being done by CSC it seems like.... There is no logic for my feeling this way but I expect my wife will get approved any day now. I imagine it will be in the form of a letter received in the mail. I think the transfer to Califronia was a good thing! I guess I'm just looking for a good result.

Also, if you are not updating the status list why not do a standard reply. The threads are awfully long when everyone just replies to the master list. Very hard to determine when there are updates or just replies to posts.
