Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussionwrong mailing address ( removing condition)
QUOTE (bellachica21 @ Jun 23 2009, 03:28 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
hi guys we mailed the I-751 removing condition ,I am worried because i put the incorrect house number and zipcode as our mailing address,my husband suggested to use his parent's address as our mailing address since we are always moving atleats once a year. What do i do? pls help how do i get the letters from them if they got the incorrect mailing address?.I was really mad at my husband today ,because he was the one gave me the incorrect address,it was too late when i figured it out. :-( it stressed me out i can't even sleep. My GC will expires on july 16 2009, we could have mailed it sooner but we had to wait till we get some $ for that $545.

File an address change form AR-11 correcting the address ASAP. And give them a call ASAP to inform them about this so they can send your NOA1 (letter of residency extension) to your correct address.

I'm not an immigration lawyer, but that is what I would do in this case.

Good luck!

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussionconfused about my status please help me!!!
It is possible to remove the conditions after your divorce. Divorcing does not neccessarily affect your status but you will file to remove the conditions by yourself as apposed to jointly if you were still married. Waiver filers are often called for an interview or asked for more evidence.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionInfopass Experience?
Hello,

My letter of extension is expiring on August 05, so I just scheduled an infopass with my local office for July 15. Besides, CSC sent me a letter saying that my application is pending interview with my local office.

Can anyone share their infopass experience? I dont know how to prepare for that. Is it going to be an interview like?

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionHow long before biometrics?
It seems like biometrics appointmens take place about 4-6weeks after they recieve your petition. The waiting time between NOA1 and NOA2 (bio appt letter) shouldnt be more than 1-3 weeks. I got my bio appointmetn letter about a week after I got the letter of extension.

I was transferred from VSC to CSV on the 10th of March. My wife just called. I received a letter from them saying that my 10 year GC has been aproved. This is fast. I was expecting it in 5-6 more months. I did my biometrics in the first week of december after i had to reschedule. How long does the card take to get?

You're funny! My guess is they're currently working on them, the slowness compared to the 2/11 transfers might be because they're dividing their time between transfers and direct applicants. I've seen few approvals on the CSC timeline topic recently.

good luck to all of us!

Should I call? We are leaving April 15th for Thailand. We still have 9 days to get the magic letter and with a LOT of luck the PGC in the mail but I'm not feeling to optimistic. I'm also sweating that while we are away we will get a nice little RFE or letter for an interview in Atlanta. I guess as long as we have the one year extension letter all will be okay and someone will be checking the mail for me. wacko.gif I just knew with a transfer date to CSC of 2/25 that all would be perfect with the world. Certainly did not expect it until after the trip if it had stayed at VSC. It really is NEVER easy.

LS

Hopefully you'll get the letter within this week! Then, you'll have to wait for the card to arrive. You can call but those people over the phone never really give you a definitive answer...your could case could be approved by now and they'll still tell you that it's pending. Good luck and be patient! You only have few more days to go, compared to how long you've waited so far.

I had predicted that they will tranfer the October cases, but I'm gonna say no to Dec cases. They'll probably remain in VSC. The notice from lawyers association said that they will be transfering files for 8 weeks or 10,000 files per week a total of 80,000. My point is that in a couple of weeks it will be 8 weeks since they started transferring. And if they just started transfering Nov cases, give them unit next week or later to finish transfering those.

As for the waiting times, we dont really know which center has more employees or which month has most files so it's tough to estimate. But it looks like CSC is currently working on June filers so I would assume that they will all (at least most of them) get their approvals by the end of this month. And July filers will get them by end of April, May for August filers and so on. A total of 10 months waiting, still better than VSC.

If CSC is done with the tranfered cases by July/August, then they can resume with the Feb filers of their region, which is in 6/7 months of waiting time.

Patience is the key for now.

I'm in a similar boat as you. I just came back from an info pass appointment and I was told that my file has been sitting on the "pending interview shelf" since June 9. And they stamped my passport with and extension visa... sad.gif

When I explained to her that I dont want to extend my lease so I plan to move out of my place soon....she said I can send a copy of Address Change Form (AR-11) to the local office just to make sure that they get the address change. This might help with your case also.

Hope you get you interview date or approval soon! good.gif

Just wanted to share that I finally received the interview letter asking me to show up on August 6th and ask for the "interview officer." It's been almost a year since I submitted my application, received on August 5, 2008.

I guess I'll go with myself and the documents I got...nothing else I can do. If you've been through this, please share your experience. Thank you.
