Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751 RETURNED WITH THIS LETTER.
If you think that having a 10 yr GC is an error, make an infopass. This is not your fault, it's USCIS mistakes. Why would you hire an expert lawyer to fix this and pay a $$$....

Eventhough the Immigration will not look for you to be deported- they don't look for someone to be deported unless you get arrested or did something to have your name POP UP in the screen as a NOW consider illegally in the states, it will be alot safer and less hazzle if you get a lawyer. Yes it will be hard to prove that you didn't get the mail unless it is REGISTERED by CRIS then they can trace it who and when you got the mail. Goodluck...

I almost lost my right to my first green card, because they did put my letter in an envelop for another applicant. I watched the USCIS website very closely on touches and something looked weird, saying they has sent a RFE that I didn't receive.
They make so many glitches and people that actually follow the immigration laws have to deal with a lot of bureaucracy.
It's so important NOT to trust them and really do your homework. I would have been worried if I hadn't heard anything after 10 weeks. You get automatically another 12 months after expiring, start filing again, as you can't proof they didn't sent it, as sad as it is.
In my case the girl who received my letter was so kind to send it to me after she found out and the officer at the infopass was shocked.
Boy, what a hassle, indeed, but strat filing again immedeately.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionForgot the I-751 actual app form in packet
QUOTE (YuAndDan @ May 7 2009, 08:28 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
If the packet has a return address on it, more than likely they will simply return it.

Yes, it does have our current address on it, however the checks still have our old address on. Except for those all recent evidence has our current address on it and is known by USCIS.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionForgot the I-751 actual app form in packet
So we had everything ready to send out. all form and eveidence and so of to the post office husband went.
Finally on it's way.

When he got home and check the 'copy' of our packet he noticed that we had everything in there, checks and all and it didn't have the actual application form...

So what do we do now. Can't recall it.

I am so bummed out and it stressy..... we have only 2 months till my card expires.

Any ideas? I was thinking of calling the, but usually you don't get the best answer out of them?

Will they just RFE us or sent anothe packet and cxl thes checks and have the good want send?

I received mail for biometrics today, appointment on July 8, but I have to move to another state with my husband on Jul 2 until the next year. We don't move permanently, therefore I cannot change mailing address or re-schedule biometrics at the new place. I drove to local USCIS, came in and told them the situation. they said you have to wait. I waited for more than 4 hours at their office, finally they did the biomentrics for me. Phew..., I did it.

Congrats on getting your biometrics done! Sounds like I might be in for a long wait on Saturday (I'm planning on doing a walk-in as well).

I just had my biometrics taken! I did not even have to explain why I wanted to do a walk-in and was in and out in 40 minutes.

Did I finally receive the letter, did USCIS sent out a notice that the appointment got cancelled. It seems that they have cancelled all appoints form July 5-10, 2009. I assume they'll be closed on July 3rd. I will try July 10th. The original appointment was schedule for the 9th. What time do they open? We are going on vacation in 23 weeks and thought it to be over with then till the next step. blush.gif blink.gif

Hello All,

I checked my mailbox this morning and my biometrics appointment notice was delivered. I have my biometrics on 07/09/09. Hope you all receive yours soon.

Regards,

Maan

I also finally received my notice on 06/23/2009 for an appointment on 07/09/2009.
This is a work day for me, do you think I could do just a walk-in on Friday, which is my day off? Which is 06/26, as I assume 07/03/2009
the offices might be closed due to the holiday the next day.

Hello Folks ,

First of all, I wish you all good luck good.gif with your immigration process. Now to my question, I filed my I751 application on May 15th and the application was received on May 18th at CSC. I received the NOA (processed May 18th) on May 24th. When should I receive my notice for Biometrics. It has been a month since I applied, so I am a little concerned about not receiving the biometrics appointment letter yet.

Please advise if my concerns are normal. unsure.gif

Maan

Same time, received NOA1 on May, 21, and no biometric yet. Also my WAC-number is not working, as it says it's not a valid number?

I just sent in a personal check from my own bank account. I couldn't believe that today, Monday 3-9-09, we received NOA1. Please keep me posted what happens. I will be curious to see if we both get sent for Biometrics around the same time.

Wow, pretty fast in your case me,still waiting. What type of check did you use?I used cashier's check I'm hoping to get something this week week. sad.gif

Hi,
I too am in Arizona and I sent in our petition on Monday (3-2-09) evening. I sent it certified mail and saw that it was received on Wednesday (3-4-09). Today (Saturday) I saw that the check cleared my bank. I don't know what to tell you other than keep checking with your bank. I will let you know when I receive the NOA1.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionBiometrics CSC
Hello I noticed that the biometrics appointment letter arrives shortly after NOA1. How long did it take you to receive it if you filed with CSC? I have also read that some get misplaced or never set up at all, so I am wondering what is the average wait period before I start to get worried.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionHow long after receiving biometric number can I check status online?
I received the biometric appointment letter yesterday. I tried to view the case online through USCIS and it states it is an invalid number. Do I have to wait a certain time before case is available to be viewed online?

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionCan't view information onUSCIS website
I have been trying for quite a while to add the portfolio number to the USCIS website but it keeps telling me that I have entered an incorrect number. We just got back from biometrics, and it still does not work. I have checked and double checked the application number from the biometrics form. Has this happened to anyone else? Is this common?

Yes that happen to me. One email after the other and then nothing. Right now it does seem like you get the card right at about the 60 days after approval (or at least for me and what I have seen). Hopefully they are faster now.
