He sent it in and we've been waiting for two weeks now, but he got a phone call today asking him to send his passport into the embassy!! From what we have heard from others, they will send it back with him visa within the next two weeks. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much because we all know that this process is always full of twists and turns..... but it feels good to have heard something!!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Visa approved	Hi! How do you figure it was touched? What do you mean it was touched? My NOA1 is April 12, 2011 for VSC. Thanks for your help. You can follow your case on USCIS.gov. Anytime your petition is handled they scan it, which changes the "last updated" date on it. They only 'touched' my case one time when we first got our NOA1, and didn't touch it again until we were approved, so it's not that big of a deal to follow the touches. Any idea how long it will stay at the NVC before it's sent to the Embassy? Just curious..Our Journey has passed a big step, and we are close to being with our love..GOD BLESS YOU. Once they have it, they shouldn't have it for long though. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC as bad as USCIS	So I have a question for those of you that have been processed through the NVC. What happens once they scan or enter it in to the system? do they request any additional information or do they just assign you a case number and then forward the application to the country's embassy? The reason why I'm asking is because our application has been approved and should be on its way to the NVC. July 26 will be 15 business days from NOA2. I will be leaving to Vietnam in 2 weeks. we will have our Dam Hoi "Engagement Party" in 4 weeks I'm hoping that everything will be forwarded to Vietnam before i leave... "Hoping" that I'm not asked for any additional information in the mail while i am in Vietnam! I have all my financial documents ready to prove that I can support her financially but not sure when they will ask for this?? Can anyone share what i would expect from the NVC? Thanks in advanced Anthony The NVC just forwards it to the embassy in your fiance's country. For my fiance and me, we waited until we got notice from the NVC in his country. This was the "packet 3." That will instruct you on what to do next, but the NVC shouldn't request further information for a K1 as far as I know. No number yet since it hasn't been entered into the system but its definitely there. Awesome. A month later but better later than never. Hopefully will be out of there by Friday. Awesome!! Your case is moving and no one said it was going to be a fast process. I hate to sound unsympathetic; but honestly your wait time is nothing and you seem to not be comparing yourself to those that have waited longer...but rather to those that are afew days ahead of you. If it eases your mind, ours was at NVC for afew weeks too. I just looked at your timeline tmma, and from the time you got your NOA2, to the time it LEFT the NVC was less than FIVE DAYS. Emailed them and got a response that USCIS had sent everything to NVC and that I should just shut the f up and wait 6 to 8 weeks =(( Well, I just think this month must have been particularly slow. A wasted month.... =( I was really hoping to hear that they would have had mine today as well, but they didn't. After I told the woman that my NOA2 was approved on June 10th she still said the routine line of, "Well you have to wait at least 15 business days, not including holidays and weekdends." I thought that response was hilarious, since we have waited longer than that now. She was telling me that I could call tomorrow or the next day and if they don't have it then that I could email a scanned copy of my NOA2 to them with my receipt number as the subject of the email. Whether is USCIS that hasn't sent the package yet or NVC hasn't processed it, but regardless, the long 4th of July weekend is coming up and that will only delay things even longer. I am really hoping they get it done this week I got my NOA2 on the 10th and they are still saying they don't have any record of my case at the NVC as well. It is frustrating when you see people who get in and out of there in just a few days and mine is already over 2 weeks... Ok everyone, sorry for asking questions that seem they should be easy to know the answers to but i hear some different things and just want to make sure because i am almost finished completing my I-129F packet so i NEED to make sure its perfect so im not stressing once i send it off. i have a few questions maybe people can help with from your experience with NIGERIA...... 1) do i need 4 copies of the G-325A form for each of us or is it just 1 original with our original ink signature?? i have heard and seen it both ways..... 2)I got the certified copy of my divorce decree from my previous marriage but dont know if i should send them the copy of that and take the original to the interview or the opposite? 3) Last but not least, on the I-129F form question 18 they ask for a letter of how we met in person. do they want what led up to us meeting or just a description of what happened while i was there with him? Hey I just found out a friend of mine got his Visa Thursday April 12th and they told him pick up Wednesday. His was a Spousal Visa. So maybe it will be there Tuesday. Call them Monday. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	How many days to pick up his visa after approval???	normally it is a week to the date so if he was approved on thursday the 12th then his visa should be ready next Thursday but could take 2 weeks to be ready I have seen some people lately that have been told to come in two weeks time. my best advice would be wait until he has visa in hand to book flight....Im happy for u congrats again! thanks patient2010... he was approved wed so will have him go wed then....thanks!! I mean raelly? Im heading towarrd 7 months now from the date of my NOA1. There were calls of patience way back when, but now its pretty much all a joke to me. I feel almost as if ive given up, or as if this process has taken the pleasure out of the whole point of all this. This is really bad on a relationship to say the least, and extremly cruel. Yes, I feel extremely fed up too. It has been a year since we started this process. Everything seemed to be on track and following the time-line of 6 to 8 months for his Visa to get approved and here it is March 2011 and still nothing. I don't know how they expect people to cope being apart for such long periods of time. I felt so excited last year about getting married and now just feel annoyed at not having any control over the situation at all. They didn't call, no email, nothing. Just came home and it was there. Luckily a family member was home to accept it from the courier!!!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Fed up of seeing "Initial Review"	i hope my wait time doesnt go beyond 7 months...... each day passes like a month.... i check my status twice-thrice a day.. I feel your pain. After our long wait it got even longer as the medical exam led to a 2 month delay due to the sputum test and culture. It sucks...totally sucks. Her 2 month culture was negative yesterday so she should be cleared to interview after getting her vaccinations today. (fingers crossed) Hang in there and try to keep focused on the final destination cuz the journey is painful and aggrivating at times with the endless delays. After awhile I stopped checking the site having gotten sick of initial review. Good luck to you. My lawyer is helping me with preparing all of the paperwork that is needed by the NVC office once I get a letter from them with a case #. However, my lawyer said once I get the letter from the NVC office to forward it to her and she will prepare something called "G235" or something like that then mail it to the NVC office. Now when does the medical step come in?? After I get a case number or what? Please, explain!! Thank you so much! The medical step comes in once a letter is received from the embassy. The embassy will let you know what is needed (including the medical)for the interview and the medical will need to be completed before the interview takes place.
