K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	K3 approved.. should we carry on with it?	thanks to all replies! I think we will carry onwith K3 and see what happens. Jeff has to the DS230 and I864 now he just nees to fill them in and send them off to the NVC then hopfully case complete and interview in a few months! so is there much point in carrying on with the K3?? I paid the £63 for my K3 but i got my CR1 instead and the embassy couldnt give me a refund so I have the reciept thing you take to the embassy. I'll sell it to someone for £50. Just send me a message! first one to reply gets it Hope this is ok with people!! I was totally ripped off going to london andspent nearly £200 on train fares!! so I need to make some of it back for flight to the USA!! I got my VISA! 11th Dec is the date i have picked!! US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	What is DS forms & IV-15?? & Police check!!??	hi there, I have been looking online and I realise that hubby and I have some sort of DS forms to fill out. We have our I-130 apporved and are waiting for the packet to be sent to us, but we also just gor RFE today emailed to us and not sure which way to go. I am worrying !! Also, do you have to have a police check form for your interview or it that optional? US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	I have my interview date!! :)	Yay!! I got a letter in the mail from the USA embassy in London saying I have my interview on the 13th Nov!! I cant believe it!! I am so happy!! ALSO.. called the NVC to see how my CR1 was coming along and they said the case is complete and they are sending it to the Embassy. So i called the embassy asking if they can request my case from NVC so I could interview for the immigrant visa raher than the K3.. they told me to email them with all info.. so I am just waiting to hear back from them it doesnt matter which one i get just as long as I can be with my hubby for xmas! It was a little over a year until this date.. but through it all we kept strong.. yes sometimes things got really hard and painful but the day I pick him up at the airport for the very last time is going to make it all so worth it. Do you mean how long from the start of the process or when the NVC recieves your petition? Try reading members timelines sorry didnt quite make that clear, from when they receive the petition and i get a case number assigned.. Our I-130 has been apporved and I am just making sure that the choice of agent form is def mailed out to me to fill out?? is that right or am i supposed to download it and mail it to the NVC..?? Just feel like I am supposed to be doing something>? Thanks Becca x First, NVC will assign a case number for you. You can get the case number by calling NVC automated line (603-334-0700, option 1, 1, 1 (for USCIS receipt number). Then NVC will generate DS 3032 form (Choice of agent) and AOS (Affidavit of support) Bill. Usually, after around 1-2 weeks of assigning a case number, those will be generated. Again, you can find it out by calling the NVC line, this time the options would be 1, 1, 2 (to enter NVC case number). The beneficiary (the foreign alien spouse) can email NVC to select the petitioner to appoint his/her choice of agent, as soon as NVC generates those. Email only after DS 3032 is generated, not before. When your case number is assigned, you can get back to us about emailing thechoice of agent. You can also call NVC (options 1, 5) and talk with a live operator Monday-Friday. If you want to email NVC. They reply the email witin 2-7 days. The choice of agent form must be filled out, signed, and dated by the foreign alien spouse, the intending immigrant. As soon as the DS 3032 form (The choice of agent form) generated, NVC mails out this form to the foreign alien spouse and at the same time, NVC also mails out this form to the US citizen petitioner. USC petitioner can email/fax this form to the beneficiary so that the beneficiary can have it right away. However, the beneficiary can also email the NVC to select the choice of agent, as soon as NVC generates the choice of agent form, DS 3032. NVC replies the email in about 2-10 days. It is better to appoint the US Citizen Spouse as the choice of agent, because NVC will send all correspondence to the designated choice of agent. If someone has an attorney, they can choose the attorney as the choice of agent. NVC also recommends to choose someone in US as choice of agent because of mailing conveniences. Ok so I am having a totaly Blonde day today.. let me get this right.. a choice of agent form is sent to both petitioner and beneficiary.. then the petitioner sends their copy to the intending immigrant and they are both sent to the NVC..?? is that right? Yes, the form is sent to both petitioner and beneficiary by NVC. But, only one copy which must be filled out, signed, and dated by the BENEFICIARY must be sent back to NVC. The reason NVC sends out one copy to the petitioner is, if the beneficiary somehow does not receive this form, then the petitioner can send this form to the beneficiary by fax/email. Again, beneficiary needs to send ONLY one copy of this form to the NVC. The beneficiary has to appoint someone (preferrably the USC petitioner or attorney), sign and date it. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I called the NVC yesterday and apparently there is no record of my case.. which means they dont have my case sent over from USCIS yet. We had our I-130 approved on the 29th June.. Any ideas how long it takes to get a case number and then get the first of the packets?? Wish things would go faster!! : Becca, It will be at the NVC soon. After request to CSC they told us to wait for a month after NOA2 date. Here is a copy of their reply: You can phone National; Visa Center public number 1-603-334-0700 to see if the petition has been received. It takes a month from date of approval for this to occur as the petitions are sent in truck loads and must be put on NVC system. Thanks, McClellan, CAO Customer Service Division Good luck to you! We're still waiting as well. What's your Service center? Man a whole month thats rubbish!! thanks for letting me know tho at least I know what to expect now.
