My husband has just called the NVC. After about 30mins on hold he got through. He gave our details and she told him to get a pen. She went on to tell him that our interview was scheduled today and emails will be sent out today or tomorrow Our interview is scheduled for 8th Feb at 8am. National Visa Center (Dept of State)	February 2013 Interviews	Go to the NVC Filers thread Read Post #1 about tracking your case to embassy. http://www.visajourn...s-january-2013/ But as I said before our cases DO NOT go to the embassy until interview is assigned than usually within a few days to a few weeks the case is sent off. They people there's nothing to track if you haven't been assigned okay. Watch Monday the flood gates will be open. It's the second full week of the month and well they have their holiday hang over done with. Thanks for the info on tracking. Mine left on January 9 but I haven't heard anything about an interview other than I will be notified. I have never heard of this tracking? How do I go about checking? National Visa Center (Dept of State)	February 2013 Interviews	It's 11 am Chicago time here and 6 pm at the embassy, so I wonder how they coordinate? Maybe that's why the NVC has such long opening hours so that they can check in with the different embassy's all over the world. I really don't know how they work out the scheduling of interviews though, and how they find out the availability of spaces. It must take a while though considering some of the lengthy wait times people have endured. National Visa Center (Dept of State)	February 2013 Interviews	Even though the NVC are open long hours the embassy's that they are scheduling interviews for are not. I know that the US Embassy in London closes at 5.30pm UK time so I'm thinking that if the two are liaising in order to schedule a date then they won't be speaking with the embassy after 5.30pm. Unless they have already done that and are in the process of emailing out the dates? I'm not sure though, this is just a guess. Maybe it will run into next week too. Again, just a guess. Is anyone announcing they have an interview scheduled? I haven't noticed..... It was probably me! I think the inconsistencies at the NVC are a disgrace. I haven't seen anyone with an interview yet but maybe someone will give a shout out if they know any different? My husband called and was told on Monday they were scheduling this week, then someone else on this thread was told it would run into next week, and now you have been told they are finished? All they said they could say is that we wont get a January appointment (we gathered that though). US Citizenship General Discussion	Originals vs copies	You should be able to pick up extra copies of your marriage certificate from the place you registered. I just recently picked up extra certified copies of our marriage certificate and my birth certificate. It does cost money but it can be done right there and then in the registers office, no waiting time. Not sure if you're in the UK or US though, I'm in the UK and that's how easy it was for me. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	TRAVEL TO THE USA WHILE FILING i-130	Hi, I am currently going through the I-130 process and have so far been approved (2nd August). My application is now with the NVC but I am planning on visiting my husband in the US at the end of September for a month since we have 2 family weddings to attend. I'm planning on just taking as much evidence as I have to show that I will be returning to the UK (approval notice from the USCIS, return flight info, receipt of payment to my lawyer for the I-130 process, my old passport showing all my previous visits to the US which have all been well within the 90 days and also my police certificate which shows a clear record).
