She have to pay the fee on the day that she will take the medical exam..When I had my medical it was $145 and needed to pay it in peso whatever exchange rate is, I dont know if they increase or what..Good luck.. biggrin.gif

We showed proof of bona fide marriage at the time of my interview like photos of our wedding and pictures together, with family, etc..phone bills, chat logs, emails, greeting cards, receipt of different stuff he sent me and plane tickets..But when we are still processing the petition, we just sent what the NVC asked for us like MC, BC, AOS (affidavit of support), NBI, police cert, biographical copy of my passport..

They stamped your passport and that will be your temporary working permit while waiting for your gc..Usually it takes 2-3 months to have it..Congrats and welcome to the US.. biggrin.gif

Are you guys able to track your case online? I entered my WACXXXXXXXXXX number and it says "no case found."

I remember that when we did the K1/AOS the case number didnt display for 2+ months. I also remember that during that time USCIS had a whole bunch of people with the same issue. I haven't seen you guys mention it, am I the only one not able to see my case status?


If you read further the receipt notice or NOA1. The last paragraph said "Upon receipt of your ASC appointment notice, you can find the status of your case online at uscis site" biggrin.gif

I think the NOA1 is for us to know that they received the application and the check or money order..
It also says in the letter that it is the I-751 receipt notice..
I think the approval of your petition is the hint that they are satisfied with all your documents and that everything is legitimate.. smile.gif

Thanks CountryBoy for your list. It gave me ideas of stuff I totally forgot about, like the DL for both of us with same address, and the sworn affidavits (did you get those notarized?).

One of my bosses is a lawyer, and I asked her if the affidavits need to be notarized or sworn and sign were just Ok. She said that they have to be notarized, if not they are just letters.

Hope this helps.


I actually called the USCIS toll free number and the guy that I talked to said it DON'T NEED to be notarized, and so we didn't ours. biggrin.gif

I want to add that we received the NOA today!!!! YAY.

HOWEVER....I am also a little confused by the letter as it states that if you have not already done so, please submit supporting evidence such as health/car insurance showing joint accounts, birth certificates for any children, tax returns, blah, blah, blah.

We have already done so. Obviously. 4+ lbs worth. Should I fret? Is this just a standard cookie-cutter letter that goes out to every applicant, regardless of how much supporting evidence was sent in? Or are they in a very passive way asking for more?


I think that's for those who are in the military or spouse in the military that is out of the country. Not sure, I don't have my letter with me. But read it again, I think it's the paragraph before that confusing message to u. biggrin.gif

By the way, what is the date of your NOA so we can add u up. smile.gif

It says on your signature that you got your NOA1 & extension letter 10/05/09. That's the NOA you've been waiting and need to update the thread. The next letter you will receive is the ASC appointment notice for your biometrics. Best wishes. smile.gif

And also, the date you will put on the NOA1 row will be the date on the letter not the date you received it. smile.gif

The fingerprinting is not valid for renewal of your clearance. That was step 5 and u need to skip it. That was advisable for those first timers. They will let u print those 10 fingers. lol smile.gif I think the fingerprint this one ("not valid without dry stamp and fingerprint") pertains to is the last fingerprinting the authorized person from the NBI do after u got your release and new NBI and it was just the right thumb. Just my 2 cents.
