Thank you for the information. Yes I put the wrong date. It is suppose to be Nov. 09,2012 not Nov.09, 2013. I'm sorry. By the way how can I view the estimated date of processing I am new here. I don't know how. Like what you said that It was July of 2014

There are plenty of topics already open on this subject, I suggest you look into those threads.

Processing times VARY and are not the same for any two people. The time frame can be anywhere from 5-8 months give or take a month or 2.
According to your timeline, it says: "Based on timeline data, your I130 may be adjudicated between July 3, 2014 and July 10, 2014*."
I am unsure why your timeline says that because you say you filed your I-130 on 11/05/2012 and received your NOA1 on 11/09/2013 which is apparently wrong. Correct your timeline to get a better estimate.

NOTE: These are all ESTIMATES, not guarantees.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresAsking for latest time frame of spouse Visa
Good day, I'm Rhycca from Philippines married to an american last Oct.09 2012. My husband fly back to USA Oct. 11 then filed a Petition and submitted an I 130 to Chicago last Nov 5, 2012 a week after he receive the notice that our application was received and gives us the receipt number for us to check online our status. Last 2 weeks they ask for other documents and pictures to prove that we are really married. The following day my husband submitted such documents and photos during wedding but until now as I check the status of our case online it still in Initial Review status. My question and concern is How long does it take for us to know that our application was approve or not? How long does the spousal Visa takes? The latest processing. Some say it was 6 some 1 year and others 8 months.
Thank you and GOD bless

Our I 130 got denied the letter state lack of evidence and explanation about our submitted documents we are given 30 day to appeal for our case. We contacted an Immigration lawyer he told us to re apply and not to appeal. It will took a year for them to have a decision if we appeal. He suggest we will re apply and submit the desired documents and evidence. Question whom we will follow the Lawyer that we have re apply or the USCIS to appeal? Anyone done with same situation? thank you for the response.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsHow long does it take from NOA2 to the Consulate interview?
Hello everyone!

We haven't got our NOA2 yet but we are just wondering how long does it take from NOA2 to the Consulate interview? Does it depend on the country where the beneficiary will be interviewed or maybe it varies from a case to another?

Thank you in advance for your replies and good luck!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsStill no news from the consulate...

Hello everyone,

It's been a month now that the Casablanca consulate received our case (fiance visa) but we are still waiting to hear back from them. Our NVC status says Ready (case is ready for an interview when scheduled by the US consulat section). Do you guys think it's only natural?

Do both the petioner and the beneficiary get notified by the consulate for an interview? How does Casablanca consulate usually contact the beneficiary? By mail? Normal or express mail?

Is anybody out there in the same situation, especially people waiting to hear back from Casablanca?

Thank you and good luck!

Thank you for your reply.

My fiancé answered None for question 10. He thought that this question was about having filed a petition for someone else in the past, like for question 9 about if he previously submitted an affidavit. As I told you, we are not experts and he filled the best way he can, according to what he understood from each question.

Even if I ask him to send me a new original affidavit, I can't have it before the interview, he asked FedEx.

The interview is getting closer and I am wondering about the consequences if a form ESPECIALLY I 134 isn't filled out the way it should be? Would I still have the interview? Would the case be put under AP or even get a denial???

My fiance and I are not experts at filling out forms and we are new to the whole process, what if the affidavit of support is not perfect?

People on Morocco portal, can I have your feedback please?

Thank you, good luck and Happy Ramadan!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresRFE and originals
Hello everyone!

I would really appreciate any reply that will answer my question :

My fiance and I are August filers at Vermont Service Center (VSC) and we received an RFE on February for different reasons such as no biographical data pages submitted to support the passport stamps and visas and also no dates and locations shown on the back of each picture of us together. We sent out the requested additional documents 2 days ago and now are waiting to get notified. We submitted some original documents with both the petition and the RFE (like boarding passes along with some documentary evidences), do you guys think that we shouldn't? Actually we have no idea how things happen and we are new to VisaJourney! Does the USCIS forward the package of the approved petitioner just as it is to the National Visa Center and then to the local consulate or do they keep all or some of the documents?

Thank you and good luck to everyone!

Well, I am worried. It's been one month now that we sent out to VSC our RFE response but we are still waiting to hear back from them. It seems like VSC has slowed down a little bit according to the recent entries on VJ.

Please, how many people are in the same situation? Especially from VSC.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresDoes it really matter? Please help!!!!!

You know, it's hard to tell with that consulate.  Just be as prepared as possible and especially psychologically, because I think it can go either way.  For me, I didn't go to Morocco until a year after we met online.  Then I went back a second time and stayed for the summer.  I came back home, and then I filed 7 months later.  So we knew each other for two years before I filed.  Since you've already filed, you have to just go with the flow of events now.  Just make sure you save all of your evidence.  It might be that they will want to see them at the interview, or they may not.  I think he will know when he gets in there how things will go, because either they will start questioning him massively with detailed questions and in a rather abrupt and antagonistic manner, or they will be more upbeat.  I think they usually have made their decision before the interview even takes place.  I would say in our case, they had already made the decision before the interview because he saw it was stamped approved when he walked up to the counter.  I had included some brief chats, mostly phone logs because we talked on the phone usually, and I explained carefully our situation.  I also included evidence of my trips, receipts, car rental, and pictures.

Approved or denied even before the interview??? Oh my God! LOL

I am not saying that your relationship is the warning above.  What I am saying is that the fact that you filed within a short time after meeting is a red flag for the consulate.  Be aware of the warning, because the more you are aware of what the consulate might be thinking, which is the above, the better off  and better prepared you will be.  Having been on here a while, I can just say that people who try to do things too quickly through Morocco are more likely to get a denial.  I hope you can understand what I am trying to say.

OK. I see now. But we have known each other for 4 months before petitioning (3 months before the physical meeting and one month after) and it's been a year now since we first met online and 5 months as an engaged couple. Is it still considered as a red flag? I would like to learn from your own experience, please. Thank you once again.

You should put your consulate flag in your profile and also post in the MENA forum, because Morocco is a unique consulate and other people from other countries don't necessarily know how difficult Morocco is to get a visa.

You might want to be aware of this from the U.S. Embassy for Morocco http://morocco.usemb...ance-visas.html:

Internet Romance and Marriage Fraud

Many U.S. citizens befriend Moroccans through Internet dating and social networking sites and these relationships often lead to marriage or engagement. While many of the marriages between U.S. citizens and Moroccans are successful, the U.S. Consulate General in Casablanca warns against marriage fraud. It is not uncommon for foreign nationals to enter into marriages with U.S. citizens solely for immigration purposes. Relationships developed via correspondence, particularly those begun on the Internet, are especially susceptible to manipulation. Often, the marriages end in divorce in the United States when the foreign national acquires legal permanent residence (?green card?) or U.S. citizenship. In some cases, the new U.S. citizen or permanent resident then remarries a wife he had divorced around the same time as he had entered into a relationship with the sponsoring U.S. citizen.

Some of the signs that an Internet contact may be developing a relationship with a U.S. citizen in order to obtain an immigrant visa through marriage are:

  • Declarations of love within days or weeks of the initial contact;
  • Proposals or discussions of marriage soon after initial contact;
  • Requests to the U.S. citizen to visit the foreign national?s home country soon after the declaration of love or proposal;
  • Responses to messages from the U.S. citizen friend are along the lines ?I love you/Sorry I missed your call,? or similarly one-sided conversations;
  • Once engaged, married, or an immigrant visa petition is filed, suddenly starts missing scheduled appointments to chat or call.

While chat rooms, dating, and social networking sites can be ways to make friends across international borders, the U.S. government urges U.S. citizens who meet foreign nationals on the Internet to keep in mind the signs noted above. Entering into a marriage contract for the principal purpose of facilitating immigration to the United States for an alien is against U.S. law and can result in serious penalties, including fines and imprisonment for the U.S. citizen and the foreign national involved.

Although your relationship may be legitimate, just be aware that the consulate is looking for red flags such as the above and are more likely to question your relationship on its brevity before filing.  It's good you have made several trips and be well prepared to answer any of their questions.

Thank you for all the useful info but our relationship has nothing to do with the signs listed above. So we just need to make the immigration officers believe in our relationship because we really have nothing to hide from them and we want to do everything legally. We are just two normal people waiting to get together.

Hello everybody,

I am wondering if the period that my fiancé and I have been knowing each other before applying for a K-1 Visa does make a difference. Here is the situation : we met online in April 2012, we met in person in July 2012 and we submitted the petition for K-1 Visa in August 2012, do you think it might be considered as a red flag? I just want to clarify that our relationship is genuine and that there are absolutely no hidden intentions from one side or another.

Also, in the declaration of how we met, we only told the circumstances of our PHYSICAL meeting like where and when etc and we didn't mention that we met online because we thought that the USCIS is only concerned about having the evidence of meeting in person and then after the NOA2 and NVC stage we can explain in details at the consulate interview how we met, both online and in person.

Please tell me, what do you think?

Thank you so much and good luck!

I am sorry, I forgot to tell that other visits have taken place since then.

Also, I wanna know how many attachements have you received with the K1 packet email from the Casablanca consulate?
