They finally called my number an hour and a half after my first little ~desk meeting~ (they call you up twice once to grab all the paperwork confirm who you are, make sure you paid and do you finger prints! Make sure you have copy's of your birth certificate ect I was asked and didn't have one and my guy huffed around for a couple of minutes because he had to copy it himself!) The woman I had for the main interview was so happy smiley, when I walked over she was reading my file. It really paid off sending loads of proof of relationship, photos, emails, ect with my first packet as first thing she said to me was how sweet and funny we both were! Most of the previous applicants had been up at the window for 15-20 minutes being asked questions but my interview was around 7-8 minutes long a majority of it was me telling the story of how we met! She did test me on the dates me met and asked me what he did for work but that was all the questions she asked! She then smiled at me and said 'I'm going to advise that you get approved! Thank you' and then told me I'd get my visa delivered within two weeks and that I could leave! So bloody happy right now, I'm giving in my two months notice in at work tomorrow and hopefully booking a flight for the end of July!   CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!! Called NVC today to see if they got my case (it's been 11 days, I'm antsy!). Nothing yet!! I called right at 7:30 EST and waited on hold for 30 minutes. Bummer. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	February 2014 filers	Hello Abby & Andre we were approved April 7th i am the Beneficiary my fiancé hasn't called yet he's waiting for two weeks mark   I bet you will get it this week!   I called on Friday and they didn't have our case yet. I am planning on calling back on Wednesday, which is the official two week mark.   The customer service representative I spoke to on the phone told me to call back in about three and a half weeks. Did you have any problems with the entrance to the US? I'm planning to go next month and I wanted to ask you if it's safe! Thanks! Ive visited twice since noa1. I brought our petition with me, a letter from work and a copy of thr school year calendar to prove I was on break for one week. The border guard did not ask anything different from any other time I have visited. Where are you going? What is your citizenship? How long will you be in the U.S.? What do you do for work? How did you meet? What does your fiance do? Are you bringing anything into the country? I only stayed for a week both times. I found thr best policy is to answer honestly, but dont volunteer anything they dont specifically ask about. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	February 2014 filers	Hello all,   I got my NOA about three weeks ago.  I didn't get an notification, etc about a change of Alien Number changed.  my fiancée(beneficiary) never had one.  does it mean that my alien number gets changed?    I am confused about this alien number change which all of you seem to have gotten changed.   Please advise.   Thank you       Hi! On your NOA1 (the notification you got), there should be a receipt number that starts with three letters. If you go to www.uscis.gov and click on "Check my case status" you can input that number and it will tell you the latest on your case. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	February 2014 filers	That's correct vaccinations aren't required for the k1 although some consulates are a bit iffy about it and tell you to have them done at the medical. The offical word on it is: K visa applicants are encouraged to get the vaccinations required under U.S. immigration law for immigrant visa applicants. Although such vaccinations are not required for K visa issuance, they will be required when adjusting status to that of legal permanent resident following your marriage. Applicants are therefore encouraged to fulfill these vaccination requirements at the time of the medical examination.   Is there a list of vaccinations we will need?
