IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	August 2014 Interviews	Yes - an A4 manila envelope with a one page Immigrant Summary stapled to the front.  Ours was sealed with a clear Consulate sticker and had "Do Not Open" stamped all over it, plus a 3" x 4" label on the back.   One can tell that there is a rubber band around the papers.  You can feel it through the manila envelope (some people will say a "kraft envelope").   At the Consulate, we saw the file - it's just all the civil document copies, the police report, copies of the I-864 and DS-260 and the medical, plus a thousand pictures stapled to everything.   There were extra pictures in our bundle, but they still took the pictures we were told to bring and used the newest ones for the visa in the passport.   This is from the Sydney Consulate in Australia.  Your embassy/consulate might have a different process.   By the way, we did NOT receive any instructions for paying the Immigrant Fee.  There was a checked box on the label that said we had to pay it, but no instructions anywhere.  I found the ELIS signon thing to be quite tedious.  Thank goodness for Visa Journey!   Sukie in Oz     Thank you very much for the clear Information!      Our consulate says I can pay the immigrant fee at consulate, and I have to pay it before interview, so yes! I'm so frustrated....  it's been 15 days now, I had email to embassy they answer me back this:     Dear Madam,   We still have several cases affected by the technical problems with our visa system. This issue is worldwide and is not specific to any location or visa category. We apologize to applicants who are experiencing delays and unable to obtain visa at this time. State Department had a computer issue a few weeks back.  It appears to affect people who are working with the consular offices. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	CEAC "Status Updated Date"? What does the change mean?	Interview was approved on 7/24, It's been 25 days now, still can't get the visa..   Embassy said: The visa is going to take longer. It is delayed because of the computer system. The system has to check your data against a database and make sure there is no problem. Unfortunately our data has not cleared yet...They are going through each visa slowly when the database is up.   What does "Status Updated Date" mean? I'm so worry when the date stop update, when it update it means someone try to link the database and issue the visa right? Hubby will call embassy tomorrow, since their website showed "In case of an American Citizen Emergency, please call at any time to reach an operator or duty officer." Yeah! His interview was at 8am this morning and he was in and out in less than an hour!! MY HUBBY IS COMING HOME ON THE 30TH WITH MEEE!!!! YAYYY!!!!!!      Thank you to everyone in this community who has supported us and been there with us through the frustrations, tears, small triumphs, and finally here at the last steps before we are together permanently (esp my Sept peeps and Brit/American duos - lookin at you guys!). IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2014 Interviews	My status still at "READY" but I'm happy for all the "ISSUED" ppl  Congrats to visa in hand!!    Hey everyone!   My husbands visa was Issued at the Sydney Consulate sometime around 3:00PM and it made it to Perth in Western Australia via Express Post by 8:00AM the following morning.    A TRUE MIRACLE!! He sent me a cute photo of himself holding up his visa; the proudest look on his face!    He is going to make his ORIGINAL flights with no cancellations or changes! What a blessing after this last scare with the computer glitch! He is on his way to me tomorrow night!        Best wishes for everyone!    Wonderful! So happy for you!!!        Wooooohoooo! Congrats! That is such a relief!   LifeOnHold, I totally understand that your husband would like you to change again your flight, it will be soooo nice for you to fly together!!! (And no goodbye!) IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Aug 2013 I-130 filers	I received case number today (finally !! ). I have been calling disparately 2-3 times a day. Finally, I got lucky.. I-130 was approved on Feb 20th. NVC received through a snail /camel  on March 12th. NVC just scanned and gave the Case Number today (04-11-2014).   Can someone post me the link for March forum, I believe, that's where everyone is tracking after I-130 approvals. I appreciate this forum and help given by everyone. My is March 12th too! so happy to see you get the number, congrats!   Thanks for the info and Call NVC on Monday. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Aug 2013 I-130 filers	Hi guys, share this post with all August friends, by Saylin. AVR is Automated Voice Response system. When you call NVC, you can either just press the options for the AVR and use your CIS receipt number to see if a case number has been assigned OR you can press an option to speak with an operator. The AVR number is the same as NVC 603-334-0700. With the current Egypt crisis message at the beginning of NVC's recorded message, to get to the AVR, press 2, then 1 for English, 1 for immigrant visa, then 1 to use your CIS receipt number. Then a couple options will be presented depending what service center you were in. You press one of them for your SC, then 1 to confirm, then you put in your 10 digit CIS receipt number and again 1 to confirm. Then a recorded message will play about your case. Once you have a case number, the options are: press 2 (if the Egypt crisis message is still there), then 1 for English, 1 for immigrant visas, then 2 to use your NVC case number. Then you have to enter the 3 digit code at the beginning of your case number, press 1 to confirm. Then enter the 10 digits that follow, then 1 to confirm. Then a recorded message will play about your case. If you want to speak with an operator, it's just 2 (if the Egypt crisis message is there), then 1 for English, and then 5 for an operator. After 12 midnight EST, the Egypt crisis message disappears since there are no operators to speak to. My I-130 was approved on 2/20 (Texas), on 3/5 I received shipment notice.. but till now NVC didn't receive my case. calling twice a day.. When you call 603-334-0700 sometimes the line beeps as if the phone number doesn't work). But keep calling.. you may be connected (after hearing music for 20 min). I like August forum too! and the spreadsheet for USCIS step help me so much! if we can have the sheet for NVC that will be awesome why Admin don't allow..   Guys I'm really down I can't take this I need an approval You will get it sooon!!        Don't worry! You aren't alone. There are still more of us who don't have the approvals yet. It doesn't mean anything is wrong. We are going to get our approvals and have a great life with our spouses.
