K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Interview in 6.5 hours!!!	I went for my fiances interview. Best decision made and well worth the added expense. Just hang by her side, be at every window with her, hold her hand and just let her know you love her. This shows to everyone. I don't think our questioning lasted 10 minutes total at all windows combined. The final interview with the CO was less than 2 minutes. I fully believe that was because I was there. Left Saturday , got the Sunday, interviewd Tuesday, flew back to Anchorage Wednesday and off to work on Thursday. We have been in this long distance relationship for 8 years and 5 months (to be exact) now that is why the wait is excruciating already. We were hoping to be together after 5 mos of filing the K1 but we sure didnt count on it to be this long!!!! i mean come on.....we are so close....why now???   sorry, i cant help but vent....it is just frustrating i wanna cry...   It's definitely not a question of whether your relationship is bona fide, 8.5 years prove a lot! It's the bureaucratic machine that brings so much grief and distress to the loving people...vent, cry, ride a bike, jog, anything that makes you feel even a bit better! Our hearts are with you! From what I read myself I remember that if you cleared medical exam, the doc said that everything is fine and you got your envelope, you are not obliged to get missing vaccinations before departure from your home country. BUT one needs to have all required shots done for adjustment of status. So one can do it in U.S. (If she gets pregnant right away after arrival, no one will insist on those shots I assume) So read a little more, get some references and email to the embassy. Me the who file or my man in Uganda I am confuse   Can't speak for Uganda, but here in Russia I didn't get no "packages". After NOA2 (Apr08) the letter was sent (Apr24) to the Petitioner that the case has been received by NVC and will be forwarded to the respective Consulate within a week. It also stated that the fiancé (me) will soon receive a packet with instruction on how to file a K1. Later (May08) the Petitioner (again not me, the foreign fiancé) received this   " Dear Petitioner: Please resend the letter to your fiancé(e).   Dear Applicant: We are pleased to inform you that the Immigrant Visa Unit of U.S. Embassy Moscow has received your approved visa petition and that your case is ready for processing. You should now visit http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ru to complete the following steps: 1) arrange payment of the $240 visa fee; 2) enter an address to which the visa will be delivered; and 3) schedule your interview appointment.  Once you pay the fee and specify the delivery address, you may schedule your interview for any available appointment slot.  Please ensure that the date you select falls within four months of the date on which the visa petition was approved.  Failure to do so may impact the validity of your visa petition. All applicants for fiancé(e) visas must comply with the processing requirements detailed at http://moscow.usembassy.gov/iv-fiancee.html. This page provides the most accurate and complete information needed to prepare for your interview including a list of required documents.  Thank you.   Immigrant Visa Unit U.S. Embassy Moscow"   I wrote the email inquiry (May07) about my case to the Moscow Embassy at the same time. I was under the impression I would get an actual package. So in case with Moscow Embassy they didn't physically mail me anything prior to interview, and I didn't send them anything either. Hope this answers your question. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	How fast the letters are delivered in Russia	Hi everyone,   I got a notification yesterday - a first-class mail is waiting for me! I rushed to a post office to receive it, and was amazed when I opened it. No, not by the content (it was a standard letter inviting me to pay a fee and schedule a K1 interview), but by the PROCESSING TIME. The letter was dated 7-May-13 It was sent from Moscow 22-May-13 (that was the date on the stamp) So it spent 2 weeks just laying on smb's desk. It was received in Vladivostok 26-JUNE-13 (I was in the airplane by then going to my interview) !!! It took another 12 days by our post office to sent me a notification that an envelope is waiting for me.   I'm a happy owner of K1 by now and ready to travel to US 13Jul..but I thought I would share this ridiculous story with you.. Well why don't you wait with your daughter? Or why doesn't your fiancé get a second job for now? Even if you go and get your daughter later he still needs to increase his income by that time. And as a mother I really can not understand how you can even think about leaving your kid behind? Yeah it's hard o be apart from the one you love but leaving your kid.....come on!
