I assume that I go to the USCIS site and use the "e-request" link to request they do their job and process my petition already? Yes, thick with cynicism and sarcasm. Just flat out frustrated.

I understand.  I was fully prepared to have to file requests and contact my congressman and Senators to push mine through.  Luckily I didn't have to resort to that, but they are options that beat the heck out of waiting without anything to do to help the process like the first 5 months.

CSC still seems to be churning out approvals (according to Igor's list) at a pace of 3-6 per day, and although this seems really slow compared to more recent times, just go back to april and you will see that it would take a week or more to get that many out.  3-6 per day on here is pretty much the pace they need to have to get through all the petitions at the pace which they come in (100 ish per month).  Hopefully they get to yours before you have to push further with service requests and congressional assistance, but either way, hopefully it'll come for you soon.  I'm rooting for you as well as the rest of my fellow February filers

I wish I had all of your luck. I was hoping we'd get our approval in June... Really hoping July will be the month, but since CSC has slowed to the "normal" crawl, doesn't look like the rest of us CSCs will be seeing an approval anytime soon. Nothing we can do but wait while this ####### system continues to approve things at the pace of a fat man in a foot race. Serious BS all of us have to float in NOA2 limbo. Big middle finger to this system.

If you don't hear something soon, you should be able to file an official request on your case since you'll be passing the current official 5 month timeline next week.  Hope you see yours soon.

Hey, just wanted to update my case.

I was approved from CSC on the 20th and just got received at NVC on Friday the 29th.  Now waiting for them to send it to London, but we have the case number so we can start getting ready now.

Thank you, David. (Or are you Kelly? Confused about that.) I'm so relieved. Now, if the cases around me and my own case are any indication, it seems the people who have not been transferred from Vermont will, indeed, be processed faster. Everyone take heart.

I am David, the petitioner :)  Hopefully we clear out all he February cases soon, so we can just fill this thread up with our Consulate approvals and other happy news :)

How do you get this kind of information?  I keep putting in the receipt number on the uscis.gov front page and keep getting the same information I got when it was initially filed.  Where do you find notifications that the file has been "touched"?

I only get the 4 options on my page that says; Acceptance, Initial Review, Decision, and Post Decision Activity.

It's been on Initial Review since the beginning on february.

A touch is whenever your status changes in any way shape or form.  The information talked about in the post above yours is from other cases.  you can input other case numbers around your own to see if they have any recent updates.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsFebruary 2013 filers K1

My fiance received an email this week regarding our status of the I-129F.

Has anyone else received something similar? I am concerned with the wording that "we transferred this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) to another office for processing because they now have jurisdiction over the case" that it has gone back into the pipelines elsewhere and we potentially have to wait all over again :/

Yes, this has happened to quite a few people.  This is actually the second time in a month this has happened.  In May VSC transferred a lot of cases from December/January to the Texas Service Center.  It took about 3 weeks then they began processing their cases.  Then about a week ago, a lot of people from February got their cases transferred as well.  Most seem to believe they went to Texas as well.  My guess is that once they complete the first batch, they should go directly into the next batch.  Hopefully it won't be too much longer.

There are multiple threads in the Service Centers forum discussing both transfers here:

http://www.visajourn...ervice-centers/

I hope so, that would be great news to tell him when he gets back! Now it's the waiting game again, although this time it will considerably shorter (which I can't complain about tongue.png). Congratulations on the noa2 btw!!!

Thank you on the congrats.   It is a relief once you get the RFE and find out what it is and send it back.  Once they receive it, the anxiety level of waiting will sky rocket, but the wait will be so much shorter.  Best of luck

Feb. 2013 filer as well.
Last June 21, we check our results and it was transferred to the Local USCIS
praying and hoping for the good result

Godbless us all everyone!

Your case may be different from others, but I've read from quite a few others that they've received similar messages but their file actually went to Texas.  You may already know that, but I thought it might be worth looking into if you hadn't heard about them.

Best of luck to you

Recieved hard copy of the rfe on Friday which ended up being great as my fiancé found out on Thursday that he had to leave the country and won't be back until July 8th. So I went down for the weekend (yay!!!) so I could sign the revised letter of intent, and was able to sneak in a visit before he left. Revised letters sent today, hopefully received by uscis on Tuesday or Wednesday. Fingers crossed that we get noa2 shortly after that!

With mine, they received my RFE on June 12 and I had a decision on June 20th, others have been similar from between 10 and 20 days from receipt of RFE at CSC to approval.   Hopefully if they get your RFE today or tomorrow, you could very possibly have your approval before your fiance returns July 8th.

I received an email on June 6, 2013 that I was sent an RFE, got the hardcopy on June 10, 2013. Had to send in Intent to Marry letters and both my divorce decrees. I sent them on June 18, 2013. Hope it's not too much longer for answer. Anyone know about how much time I might have to wait to hear anything from USCIS?

I too had an RFE from California.  My timeline is in my signature.  Watching others, it seems that 6-21 days from the time you get the notice saying they received the requested information the approval generally comes through.  Mine took 8 days.

Does this imply if you stay at VSC your chances improve, since they now have a smaller workload, hence may get to your case faster?

We have not been transferred.

For your sake, I certainly hope it does, but honestly, I don't know what to think.  I thought they would have transferred enough cases to be caught up when they did so in May.  I'm a bit surprised at this second batch being transferred.  I do hope Vermont gets it's act together and gets these cases all adjudicated soon

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsFebruary 2013 filers K1

Just checked the 9 eac numbers I have been following all 9 transferred

seems there's a thread about that's been started.  Seems to be eerily similar to the May issue where VSC transferred a bunch to Texas to be processed.  Those took 3 weeks to get started.   My guess would be that Texas would want to get through those before getting to yours, so hopefully those from May all get adjudicated quickly so they can start working on this batch.

I have no idea what's going on with Vermont.  I guessed sending the first batch would get them caught up and they'd just work from there, but apparently not.  I sure wish they were more transparent about what's going on at these service centers

Was just coming to update Jo's and my status on this as well. We just received the same email! My guess is that it's going to the Texas Lockbox to be redistributed to a local office to have the case taken over since that's what appears to have happened to the Dec-Jan filers earlier.

Hoping for the best!

Actually those didn't go to local offices, Texas is now adjudicating those.   They were sent towards the end of May and are just starting to see adjudications this week, so my guess would be if you guys got the notice today, by the time they get you to Texas and get you into the system, they should start adjudicating by mid July.  I'm hoping this is when they will be finished with the first batch they received from VSC in May.  I'd say you guys are probably looking at getting adjudicated sometime in July.

I really hope they get through them extra fast for all of you

Hi,
The CSC received my RFE response on June 6, several days after I mailed it to them via cert. mail. NOA2 notice came via website around 6pm PST On June 19. The RFE requested a proof of personal meeting in Russia. I mailed them a copy of my Russian passport with my entrance/exit stamps (i am a dual citizen) and credit card statements showing me spending money in a city in Russia.

Thanks for the info and congrats on your NOA2.....I'm about 6 days behind you, and it seems like 10 - 21 days has been what I've been seeing and yours fits right in that timeline.  Best of luck to you on the rest of your process.

I am still waiting on them to approve me after my RFE.  I went to check your timeline to see how far apart we were, but you don't seem to have one filled out.  What are your dates for receiving your RFE, returning it etc.?  If you don't mind me asking.

The CSC received our package on 2/25/13 and sent the NOA1 to us on 2/27/13....we received our NOA2 approval on 6/13/13 :-)  now waiting on the NVC notice, any idea how long this is currently taking and then the notice from the US Embassy in Manila ??

Thanks for any input :-)

Cheers

Looks like from what I've seen here, that NVC is taking between 1 and 3 weeks for most people, as for our Embassy, probably get the best information from the regional forum here:

The case ten numbers behind ours was approved yesterday.

The case two numbers behind ours received an RFE today.

The case six numbers before us received an RFE on 6/10.

The one immediately before was approved on the 13th, and there has also been one other RFE.

I checked our status online today (my regular lunch break routine lol) and it was still listed as initial review. Less than 5 minutes later I received an email from uscis informing me that we received an RFE today... Was expecting it, but still hoped for an approval. Yay! I'll update our timeline when we receive the hardcopy.

Good luck, hope everything goes quickly and smoothly with your RFE.  What do you think they need?  Mine was simple enough, and I got the mail pretty quick, so they received my RFE back and started the review one week after my initial notification via email.  Hoping to hear back this week or next with an approval (fingers crossed, knock on wood, all that good stuff)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsFebruary 2013 filers K1

Of the 20 cases preceding ours, five were I129Fs.

One received an RFE on 6/10

Three were "alien registration number changed" dated March 6th, same date as ours.

The case immediately preceding ours received an approval today.

Of the 20 cases after ours, there were two I129Fs, both with "alien number changed."

I'm not sure how to interpret this data, maybe someone can shed some light.

The alien registration number changing shortly after the NOA1 date seems pretty normal anymore, although many still say it's a "glitch".

I can say that once I started seeing numbers around mine getting approved (went back 200 and forward 200 to get 16 I-129F petitions), I got my RFE a week after the first ones.  I looked last night and there were still a few with just the A# changed, so not all have been processed yet, but it's a sign they have done some work.   I assume sometimes cases are held back a little due to more intensive background checks for whatever reason, and that may slow down some of them.

For me it was a good sign, after I saw the first few change, the rest started to fall like dominos. of course there are still a few not changed at all yet, and I really can't explain it.  I do hope VSC kicks into gear and gets you guys an approval soon

It would appear that those few Feb from VSC were congressman or something . Back to Oct and Nov now mostly with RFE's . Should I contact a congressman ? I kind of feel like I am cutting in line if I did that . We have a baby due in July and just want to get the ball rolling . ClockWatch2.gif

I would never say that you should or shouldn't do something. It's your case, and you need to do what you need to do.  I can only tell you what I would do in our situation.

Personally, I wouldn't contact my senator/congressman until I passed the 5 month mark.  Since they state that is their ultimate goal, it seems like a fair time to expect it in.  What I did when CSC was in a standstill after I'd applied, was write my political representatives, CSC and USCIS along with a lot of the other people waiting in line at CSC to tell them of our frustration with the process.  I have no idea if this actually helped, but after 2 months of this, CSC really kicked into high gear and have more than caught up.  I would recommend this type of solution for anyone in a similar situation now and in the future.  I think a little pressure in the right places can go a long way, and that complaints about an overall slow down may get more achieved than complaints about single petitions.  That of course is just my opinion on the matter.  I wouldn't tell someone they have no right to complain about their petition, as we each have our own set of personal circumstances and it's not fair to judge others for the path they choose.

I have been going through my EAC number on the site . Putting in changing numbers at the end . Example mine ends in 7 , so i went from 1-9 . When I got to 8 i found an RFE on that one from VSC . I wonder if the petitions are stacked in some sort of order to the EAC numbers . If this is the case is mine next ? Maybe not , but it has got me to wonder rofl.gif One note all those numbers have the same date as mine , except one with an address change .

I went back and forward 200 case numbers when I did it.  I only found about 16  I-129F cases.   They were all done in a reasonable semblance of order in my instance, but one thing to remember is that background checks are done by other agencies and as such, there's no way to insure they all come back in the proper order.   out of the 16 around my case number, I was around number 12 to get approved or RFE (I got an RFE), so some after me got theirs before me.  Actually the closest one to me got their approval a full week before my RFE, but I believe it's a good sign when we start to see multiple cases around ours that have some type of decision (RFE or approval/denial).

Updating my case for everyone....I received my RFE which was dated June 5.  The mail was postmarked June 6 and of course today is June 10.  I thought it may be because I sent a photocopy of the Intent to marry from her, but actually it was an oversight on my part.  I assumed that since it's illegal to marry more than one person at a time that my 2nd divorce decree would be sufficient but they requested a copy of my first divorce decree.  I don't have a copy and will have to order one so that delays me a bit, but I'll work on that tomorrow and express mail the RFE back as soon as I get the copy.

I'll keep this thread updated as the process continues

Best of luck to us all

Thanks for the explanation. Can you send me a sample of a file you have done? thanks.

I would, but once i got my RFE I deletted them because I wasn't using them any longer.

Basically all I did was enter the numbers in at the website, then when I found I-129F petitions, I would copy the case number and  paste it into a text document, then I'd copy the information of the status of the petition (which always included the date) and pasted it in as well.  Then once I got done looking through, I cleaned it up my finding the cases with the same statuses and listing them together.

UK-USA-K1MaleUnited Kingdom2013-06-10 21:39:00

I don't understand any of this. What kind of stat is this? Can you explain what all these numbers means? (other than "a good week for Feb filers"?) thanks wink.png

Some of us have mined the USCIS website for information on petitions around our dates.  The way we do this is to take the number from your case, which you use to see updates about your case, and start putting in new case numbers by adding (or subtracting) 1 to the case number to see a nearby case and it's status.  Keep adding (or subtracting) 1 to the new case numbers and if you go a few hundred up and down from your case, you can get a pretty decent little bit of information on cases surrounding yours.  Of course you want to ignore non-I-129F cases as their processing won't be similar to yours.  That is basically what they are talking about.

I posted a few days ago that I saw the case status before mine getting approved.

I decided today to check the status right after I woke up, to my surprise!  NOA1 was 14/2/2013 (a week short of 4 months)

On June 6, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

But we haven´t gotten a txt or an email. Just waiting for the written one by mail next week.

Congrats....when I got notice of my RFE they never texted me, although they did email me.  Thing is, I know they have my text number in the system because  they did text me to update me when they originally gave me my WAC  number.  I think their system has serious glitches with the alerts.

Hi February filers! I am extremely glad to have this support group to keep our hearts warm.

Our NOA2 was approved on Monday! Apart from thanking Jesus, would also love to give thanks to all here. Though I don't post much, I get encouragement through all your posts here. Anyway, to those yet to receive the approval, I believe this month is our month! Don't give up there! My fiance and I were quarreling about a possible RFE yesterday without knowing our case status was changed the day before. Funny how things turned out when we least expected. Good luck!

Congrats...best of luck and keep us updated

And I see you were well-prepared for it. Hah.

I'm sure you know the feeling.....the only way to get through the process it so prepare every last detailed.  I dare say if we were all half as prepared when we filed as we are after the first few weeks on this site, RFE would be rare.  I knew I may have an issue with it, but if I waited for her to mail it over and then send in the application I'd be a week behind.  This puts me a few more weeks behind that, but with the risk that it may have gone through.  I felt it was worth the risk at the time (my impatience getting the best of me) and it is coming back to bite me.  I really do hope that is all it is, and it is.  I won't be overly surprised if they lost something and need copies of something else completely, but I have copies of pretty much everything I sent them.  A few things, like her boarding passes and such I have stored electronically, but I can print them on a moments notice.

Aye, that is another possibility. I'm not too excited over it and I won't rile up my fiancee and mother about it. It was nice enough to wake up with a text from USCIS.

I actually didn't get a text like I expected, but I checked my email and there was a mail from them about my RFE.  Made my heart race just seeing it was from them, even though I knew it could just be an RFE

Sorry, David. Hopefully it gets sorted out quickly.

Today USCIS updated our case:

Since I never requested such, I called. They said it's just a "glitch" in the system. I did a quick search here on VJ and other people have had the same experience. Some said they received the NOA2 shortly after seeing thsi "glitch," but that may just be incidental.

Could be a simple glitch, or it could be a glitch tied to the fact that someone has at least "touched" your case.  Hopefully it's the latter and they get you adjudicated soon.  It's really hard to even try to guess what's going on in Vermont right now.

Well I finally got my status update.  She forgot to mail her intent to marry statement, so she scanned me a copy which I sent in.  I hoped it would skate through, but I got an RFE.  I have the original sitting in my file with the other documents, so now I get to wait for the hard copy of the RFE to show up and mail it in.  I hope that's all it was anyway.  At least it's something.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsFebruary 2013 filers K1

Ah! Oh god. I woke up this morning, checked my email as I always do and saw one from USCIS, I just figured it was something to do with the account as I had to re-open it recently due to inactivity, but NOPE. Our approval came on the 4th!

We filed on the 15th Feb, NOA1 dated on the 21st Feb, no RFEs....103 days. It feels unfair to those still waiting from long ago. Stick with it guys, your time will come.

It may not be fair, but it's definitely not of your doing.  It is what it is.  Each of us will get ours in due time, just some may take a bit of extra diligence.

Congrats, now that you got yours, can you tell them it's ok to process mine?  devil.gif
