K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	denied fiance visa	Getting the visa to get married in the UK is quite simple actually. There is a special kind of tourist visa that allows you to get married. You can apply within 3 months of the planned visit. Visa usually takes 2-4 weeks to be approved. You can stay in the UK up to 6 months after getting married. Check all the details at the UK's Border Agency website ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk. My fiance is from England & we did a thorough look into getting married in England then applying for a spouse visa. I was going to send the letter as a response to the RFE with the stamps. I sent the boarding passes from his visit in April. I guess it wasn't enough which was why I was going to send the stamps. The cruise line did direct deposit so we don't have pay stubs. They want more evidence that my fiance and I have personally met in the last 2 years. We were employed in the same place for a year. I don't know how much more proof I can give. I got the cruise line we worked for to write letters confirming our dates of employment & show that we were assigned to the same ship. I'm going to send copies of our passports, but they don't have stamps from the cruise line. My fiance's has stamps from when he came to the US to visit me before we filed. Will this be enough? We did not send any passport stamps because we didn't receive any stamps while working the cruise line together. My fiance came to visit me in the States last April (when we got engaged) so those would be the only set of stamps that would help. If the RFE does end up being for more proof of having met in the last 2 years, that would be the only additional evidence we could send. I don't know if it would be enough... Just got an email update today that we're being sent an RFE I was extremely disappointed! I'm not sure exactly what it's for yet, but it seems that most people receive them for lack of evidence on having personally met in the last 2 years. I sent boarding passes and pictures. I thought there was no way we would get an RFE because of the circumstances under which we met.... We were both employed on the same cruise ship for a year. We were in the same place everyday for a year! How can you need an RFE?! You don't get more proof than that! Is it possible they're sending us an RFE for something else?? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	How much is too much..?	When sending the initial I-129F packet, they're looking for proof that you've personally met in the last 2 years. They're not all that interested in proof of the ongoing relationship. They want PRIMARY evidence which are things like passport stamps, boarding passes (not just copies of itineraries) etc. Photos are considered secondary evidence. I was approved 22nd of August (California service center) and my file arrived at the NVC on the 8th of October. So it took 2 days short of 7 weeks. I had my approval notification back on the 22nd of August and I haven't heard anything else, no notification of my case being sent off. Although it does say on the notification... Post decision activity may include sending notification of the approved case to the nvc or dos. Should I still be getting another notification before it gets sent off?? Thanks!!
