Seriously, because of this long waiting we had to postpone our lives.. so not fair! Skynaut, is sad, we are in the same position, me personally did not seen my wife since 9 March last year, only on internet. Imagine the joy that I will have in December 22 when she will visit me for 3 weeks and spend the New Year with me. This is the reason that ... the ticking clock and life passing by. Processing is based on receipt date, the date USCIS receives your I-130 petition. Priority date is irrelevant for immediate relative petitions, but sometimes they keep priority date and receipt date same. Loto I just hoped to gain few more days This waiting is killing me softly. Well, it is not related to us, but still...CR1 fee increased while K1 decreased. Here is a link if you're interested USCIS increasing fees I have seen it today, next fee will be 420$ is up to 65$ from the previews fee. Hope that this will speed up the CR1/IR1 forms Cip. If your interview is on or around that date, just make sure POE in the U.S just after 2/28/2011, so that you can get IR1 (unconditional green card for 10 years) rather than CR1 (conditional green card for 2 years) GC. My husband (Albanian) was picked up by ICE on June 29th (his voluntary departure date was March of 2000, before I ever met him, so I couldn't help him with his illegal status problems). We own a home and a restaurant and have two kids, 1 and 2.5 yrs old. I'm a natural born US citizen. I'm working on my PhD in Biochemistry. I make $1600 a month. We had to sell the restaurant. I had to leave the kids in Albania with him (can't afford daycare and better to stay with Baba than a babysitter). Now I'm sitting in our 3 bedroom home alone. I put all the kids toys away where I couldn't see them. I received the NOA1 on July 27th. Now begins the waiting game. It's going to be a long time before my family can come home. I am so frustrated with this government. They've known where he is this whole time. The house and restaurant are in his name and he pays his taxes in his name. Removing him seems so pointless. We employed 10 people. They should fix the border issues so more ppl don't come in BEFORE they focus on deporting contributing members of the community. Plus, I'm pretty sure I could dig a hole from Canada to the US with a teaspoon before the paper work clears. Thanks for listening to my rant, Alison Welcome Alison, Good luck in this long process. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	July 2010 CR-1 filers	I don't really know why people at USCIS told your wife like that because there is no reason why she can't visit you while you are waiting for the petition to be approved. People suggest that it is you who should better wait till your petition is approved but not her. She is a USA citizen, she can travel wherever and whenever she wants! My hubby is also a USA citizen and he visits me as often as he likes, he can do that easily! His visits do not interfere with our process at USCIS. I am sure many US citizens visit their spouses abroad during this process, so you better find out why USCIS told your wife like that, because this sounds very irrational to me. Good luck Skynaut, I forget to mention that my wife is planing to visit me at the end of November /beginning of December. Due to the fact that at that time the process at USCIS will finish and will start the NVC process they have advised her to stay until the process will finish in USA. So why can't she just travel to Romania whenever she wants??? I would assume that a Romanian citizen is advised not to go to the USA while it is in the process, but why a USC cannot travel? Hummm... . She is citizen and I am in Romania. The people from USCIS told her to wait untill the process is finished in US and after to visit me. .
