IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reportsmay 2012 FILERS FOR I-130

No, I didn't expedite or do DCF (Hong Kong doesn't do DCF anymore). Just a lot of praying, and God is good!! I am hoping the rest of the process continues to move quickly! I hope the rest of you get approved soon too!

You were probably processed faster because you are US Citizen living abroad with your spouse. If you search the forums on here, you'll see a thread where it is explained that pretty much all USCs who list a foreign address on the I-130 are processed at USCIS in a few weeks rather than waiting several months.

Hope that helps clarify your situation for you and benefits others who are debating which address to include on their forms.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to ask if there are any cases that got NOA2 without getting NOA1?? I've applied 2 months and a week ago and didn't get any NOA1 crying.gif ..

I also sent in my application ( I-130 ) 2 months ago and have not recieved my NOA1. They tell me is should be coming in around 30 days. Until then I guess I`ll have to wait patiently.

I sent my I-129F to CSC on Dec 11 using USPS Express.
CSC received my package on Dec 12 and they cashed my check on Dec 13.
I cannot believe this!
Is this real? I feel like I am getting scammed.
I haven't received NOA1 yet.

Is CSC finally catching up? good.gif

Good luck to you all!!!

Maybe the link will get lost as people keep replying, which is OK, I'll just use it myself. wink.gif

I love it...but if we're (read you whistling.gif ) are doing a new database can we add a column for local office (please). It would be helpful when we see folks who filed at the same service center that are whizzing by us (especially for biometrics).

I am very concerned because if the local office in Chicago does not extend her conditional green card, then (I believe) she can no longer be here past Jan 12, 2008. Please help with suggestions, or advice, as to how we should proceed.

Good that you have the infopass appointment to get the stamp. I don't think it will be a problem to get the stamp and maybe you can find out at the office what is going on with your case. Even if she doesn't get the stamp (which I don't think is a likely scenario) she wouldn't have to leave - she just wouldn't have proof of her status after the extension letter expires.

I had my biometrics today. When I got home, I check my status online but it says that my application number is invalid. I called USCIS customer service and they told me that since I'm applying for I-751, I won't be able to check my status online until my case has been approved because the data is in a different database. Has anyone else have trouble acccessing their case online?

naaaa, give it a day or so... I was able to check my status a day after biometrics.

To those who have already received their biometrics appointment. I am just curious if the application support center is assigned on the letter or you can pick any application support center to go to. I recall when I had my AOS, I had to call and pick a APC. I am not sure if that is still the case.

now they tell you exactly where and when... if you don't like it and want to reschedule the appointment notice says to mail it in with a new appointment request. Or you can do it like I did: just try your luck by walking into the ASC.

I read a thread on here someplace that someone had there NOA2 before there NOA1 out of intrest all those received and pending, can they look at there status online cos the NOA2 people on that thread said they can. I know I can't and on the letter the NOA1 I received said I wouldn't be able too until I had, had my fingerprints done.

not sure I understand your question... I received both the extension letter and the scheduling for fingerprints on the same day and walked in to get my fingerprints taken that same week. My online status still only says that they received my petition and sent me a notice (current status: case received and pending) but it was touched the day after I had my fingerprints taken.

Who would have figured that a check being cashed would be such a big deal (and money coming out of the account at that!)

Isn't there some consumer protection law against cashing checks before the goods are shipped? tongue.gif

somehow I have a feeling that this doesn't apply for "fees" and that the government considers itself exempt anyway... whistling.gif

That's very interesting (and strange)!!

I just checked the online status of my (and my son's) old files and our I-485s were both touched in January 2007. I'm guessing they're moving old files to their new centralized data center.

yeah, my I-485 was also touched in January 2007 and then again in early August 2007. And now this... hoping that they aren't just shuffling paper around but are actually working on my I-751!!! blush.gif

I heard that ones. Where greencard got extended for a year. The situation there was, that they forgot to submit an affidavit from friends, they called USCIS and found out about that. When they submit it, they got a 10 yr greencard a month later.

thx. I just print out the last 3 months bank acct. Do I need to print all 2 years? I have share credit card but the online statement does not show her name, only mine. Plus she don't even use that card. She only use the bank debt card. We try to avoid using credit card. I don't have house phone, only cellphone so it's only one name. no life insurance also. She only had a permit and have't took the driver exam yet since she just had a baby and during her pregancy we postphone the driving.

Yes you need to print 2 years. While she doesn't have to use the credit card as long as it is on joint name you should be able to request a statements from your CC company with both names.

Driver License / Permit / State ID Card - it is equivalent as long as it shows the address you both leave in.

I don't see how a national disaster and getting a federal disaster relief can impact your GC renewal. USCIS have nothing to do with that. Are you worried that you obtained a federal benefit? This would not apply as your were granted a benefit based on the Act of God and have not requested it. I don't think you should worry about that situation. And then GC renewal is for removing conditions, so you would need evidence of your marriage, which seems like you have.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionHELP!!!! PLEASE!!!

Yes it is a 2 year Permanent Residence Card that was issued on the date of arrival which was 2/8/2010 and expires 2/8/2012. but the question is why would that be if we were married on 9/30/2007 in the Philippines which was more than 2 years before entry into the United States? After all it is what it is and as long as she is approved and recieves the 10 year card, my mind will be at ease.

What Visa did you wife used to enter US?

This might answer the question why you had a Temp 2yr Green Card.
