National Visa Center (Dept of State)NVC accepted DS-3032?
I checked payment portal: AOS showed as paid and listed petitioner's name, but IV fee shows nothing and does not list principal applicant's name and fee amount. I've seen it listed principal applicant previously but now not shown anything. They already rec'd DS-3032, but no bill invoice yet...What's going on here

National Visa Center (Dept of State)NVC accepted DS-3032?
I received this email from NVC today.....
"We received the principal applicant's DS-3032 (Choice of Address and
Agent) form designating an address and agent. Instructions for paying
the immigrant visa application processing fee and all future
correspondence will be sent to the agent at the address selected on the
DS-3032.".....
Does this mean NVC accepted it?
Will I receive IV bill invoice soon right?

The National Visa Center is waiting for an Immigrant Visa Application to be submitted for this case.
The Principal Applicant and any other Applicants who will be accompanying him or her to the United
States must now download and complete an Immigrant Visa Application; please visit the following
website for instructions:
http://immigrantvisas.state.gov (click on the link for "submit Visa application and civil documents")
Please submit the Immigrant Visa Application form(s) and required supporting documents for each
Applicant in one package to the National Visa Center; sending this information separately will delay
your visa.

..........

I already sent in AOS package but have not sent in IV package yet. Does this mean AOS package was accepted? and now they're waiting for IV package? Why IV application only Part 1? I'm planning to send in DS-230 parts 1 & 2 with civil docs. Why checklist when I haven't sent in IV package yet  I'm just waiting for civil docs from my dad to send over to me and then submit.

National Visa Center (Dept of State)Certified Copy of Marriage Certificate

If the certified copies came from vital records county, then you have the right copies. I kept my original marriage certificate/license that we got the very first time after we got married.. The only marriage certificates I sent off for my immmigration paper works, I got certified copies from vital records of my county

Thank you. I think it's the same paper-certified copy from the county office. I'll plan to send in that if RFE, will send orginial marriage certificate.

A certified copy is a copy from the original issuer. So if that's what you did, that's what you have :)

You're saying I will be OK or not?

Hi all:

May I send in to NVC certified copy of Marriage Certificate of me (Petitioner)? I am not comfortable sending in original Marriage Certificate. Is it a black and white paper with all information of you and your spouse you get it from your county office with the Deputy Clerk signature on it and sealed stamp on it? I paid $1.50 fee for it. Is this the right one? I just wanna make sure before I send to NVC. Thanks!

National Visa Center (Dept of State)Documents to be submitted with IV package
Thank you for your responses.
let-it-be: Do I have everything on the list?
Also, NVC will notify you interview date via email after your case complete, but will the consulate mail the interview letter to applicant's home address too? You need this letter to get in or just a copy of the interview appointment from the email is fine? I don't know I heard the applicant will get invitation interview letter?

National Visa Center (Dept of State)Documents to be submitted with IV package
Hi everyone:

I just paid my IV fee today and now need to gather documents for IV package to send to NVC. Here is the list I need to send:

*DS-230 part I signed, part II unsigned.
*Applicant's birth and marriage certs (original or certified copy)
*Petitioner's birth and marriage certs (original or certifed copy)
*Police certificate.
*Applicant's photo of passport bio pages.
*Applicant's 2 passport photos.
*IV document cover sheet.

Please let me know if I miss something else or something extra I don't need from list above. Also will they return all original/certified copies at the interview? You have to ask the officer for such at the interview? or assume they know already? Thank you all my VJ family!

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresHow do U know it's "touched"
QUOTE (YGandMAT @ Aug 23 2007, 06:14 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hi there,

You need to register in the US CIS website, create a log in and password once you do that, you need to enter your receipt number to add to your profile. You can then check the status daily and you can see the date it was last updated ("Touched").

Hope this helps....

Thanks a lot! Now I know what that means. Gracias smile.gif

I just called yet again....I was told we are ' marked ' randomly for AR. Our case should go to DC in about 10 days, and stay there for who knows how long. We are in the pit, guys.

I am really sorry to hear that! Man, you guys have had some ####### luck. I'm hoping this doesn't take too long for you! :(

Glad to see some good news! I've had touches the last two days, but no status change since when they sent NOA2 (which hasn't made it to us yet) I hope that soon I'll hear those magic words from NVC!

I am now convinced we are in the same pile. I also got yet another touch yesterday. I'm hoping that touch was the "sent to NVC" touch.

I haven't tried calling NVC yet, I am gonna wait a little longer, BUT I did get an e-mail today from USCIS saying that on the 25th a notice was mailed to me saying that our case was approved...and we were approved on the 22nd...I don't know what's going on with everyone elses case, I just hope everyone gets their NOA2s, and NO WAY should anyone have to pay for that!

Maybe we DID get the same helpful woman on the phone at CSC! I also got an email saying my notice was sent on the 25th...

We got our NOA2 hard copy today :)

There is absolutely no hyme or reason to this madness! There's another thread I was just reading, and people who received NOA2's in early May still do not have their paper copies, yet for most their petition is already at the respective consulate (some have even received packet 3).
I've even seen that some are getting the e-mail notification that their case was approved, after those of us that were approved during the middle of May....just unbelievable!

I wish we could find out how these darn things are processed, and how is it that some mail is being sent out and some not. At this point I have to say its not the US mail that is inefficient...an envelope is pretty much delivered in about 4-5 days anywhere in the continental US, once it is actually mailed....so the problem definitely lies w/ CSC. The H-1B visa backlog excuse is no longer making sense to me. <_<

I will post when and if I get the paper NOA2. We definitely need those things for AOS, so I hope all of us that are waiting will get them soon! :)

I called and did the RFE trick and when the lady told me I was approved, she said she would make sure they got my NOA2 in the mail straight away. Had I not called, who knows...we'll just see when I actually get it...

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionPolice Certificate
So, my fiance got his Police Certificate in the mail today. It has one incident on a it...a caution for damage to private property over four years ago. He knew about it, but wasn't sure it would be on there since it was a really minor thing and they had told him it would drop off his record in three years. It still seems to be on the police certificate though, and I am wondering, should I be worried? Will they pay this much heed? He wasn't charged or arrested or anything, but I am worried it may slow down the process or something...

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionI-134 Co-sponsor question

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionI-134 Co-sponsor question
Also, my aunt, who used to work for an immigration lawyer, said that if my dad is self-employed, he will have to submit documents verifying his business, i.e. title of property, business licence, monthly gross receipts tax for the last year, etc. Is this true?
NealandCariFemaleUnited Kingdom2007-06-17 11:36:00
US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionI-134 Co-sponsor question
I have re-read the instructions, but I didn't think you could only submit bank info. It says if you are self-employed you should submit your last income tax return filed, but then people on here have said to submit the last three. I just thought you were supposed to show that you are 125% above the poverty level--will the bank stuff necessarily show that?

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionI-134 Co-sponsor question
I just graduated from college last year, then spent 6 months working in London, and thus have not made enough back here in the States to show I can support my fiance. I have decided to have my dad co-sponsor. Here's my question:

My dad is self-employed, owning a business, but he does not make most of his money from his business but rather investments and property. Should he still include his tax returns? The issue is that they vary widely from year to year. In 2005, his adjusted income from his business was only just over $4000 because of various changes he was making. In 2004, however, it was over $200,000, and 2006 it should be around $20,000. Will the return for 2005 raise too many red flags?

He is already prepared to show he has about $1.2 million worth of property, with about $300,000 of that owed in mortgages, and has a life insurance policy with a cash surrender value of $100,000 or so. He also has a lot of mutual funds and a hefty retirement.

I am just concerned about filling out too much if it's unnecessary, as then we will just have massive amounts of evidence. And I am paranoid about missing some important piece of evidence and screwing everything up!
NealandCariFemaleUnited Kingdom2007-06-17 01:05:00
US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionQuestion about I-134 Form
You only need the bank stuff if you can't show sufficient income through your tax returns, letter from your employer, and pay stubs. If your income is sufficient, don't bother with the bank portion of it. Don't give them more than is necessary.

If, however, you do need to show your bank information to prove you have enough money to support someone, you would unfortunately need the letter from the officer of your bank. Only the I-134 needs to be notarized.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionMedical question
Well, we mailed off the Packet 3 on the 23rd and wrote "pending" for the medical date. Neal booked his medical at the beginning of this week. It's next week, on the 3rd of July at 3:30 pm. Obviously that will give plenty of time before the interview date.

My question, however, is this: Should he email or call the embassy to let them know he now has a legitimate medical date? Or will they figure it out?
