K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresIncome and tax returns for K-1 interview
From what I've been told and read around here, as long as you're making enough presently to sponsor your fiance, you should be alright. I would wait and see what others have to say, but you sound good as gold to me.
DudersFemaleCanada2011-04-26 23:54:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresYes, you can visit!

Here my story:

I booked my tickets about a month after receiving the NOA1 notice. I wanted to visit my fiancé for his birthday, which was a month later.
We were at the beginning of the K1 process, I thought it would be a long journey compared to the statistics. Three days after booking my tickets, my fiancé called me and said we got the NOA2. We have been approved in 35 days only.
I was wondering if it was a good idea to go visit him while we were so close to the end of the process. I didn't take any insurance in case of cancellation, so I decided to go to see him in Colorado anyway.

During my layover in Cincinnati, I was asked the usual questions. When I told the officer I was unemployed. He asked me for evidence for my return to France.I showed him my reservation with the flight back to France, but it was not enough for him. Then, I told the officer that my fiancé and I are in the K-1 visa process. I took out a copy of the I-129F cover letter signed by my fiancé. He said it's very good to want to get married in the rules. He congratulated me and wished me a good stay. He didn't even look at the copy of NOA1 and NOA2. I was so relieved.

OMG! You're lucky, that was so fast! Let's hope everyone gets such luck! Congrats! :)

Thanks guys! That link pretty much answered all of my questions. I knew about feliway and whatnot because I've worked in the veterinary field before I just wanted to see if anyone had any troubles at the border, all my pets are up to date on vaccinations and will have health checks done before we go and they're all pretty decent travellers. Just wanted to see if any rules had changed since 9/11 smile.gif

CanadaMedical Appointment
Hi Guys smile.gif

Just a quick question as I try to plan my next 2 years of my life out. wacko.gif I am currently in Alberta, Canada. Am I correct in understanding that I have a year before my medical examination expires?

Does anyone know if when it comes time to have my medical appointment done, does it have to be done in Canada? Or can it be done in the states when I am visiting my fiance?

Thanks for any input smile.gif

Here's one more question for today dry.gif

For the interview portion of things, do both people have to attend the interview? I'm just thinking for costs sake and schedule's sake because I am in Alberta and have to travel to either Vancouver or Montreal, does my fiance have to accompany me? Or is it something I can do by myself?

Thanks for the great answers guys kicking.gif

Which visa are you applying for, Jennleah? That will dictate which Consulate you go to.

Hi guys smile.gif

Just finishing filling out my I-129F and I have two questions smile.gif

For question 18, where we have to say how we met and saw each other, how long should it be?

AND for question 20, where it asks which city I'll be applying for my visa at, I wont know until the interview right? Should I guess and say Vancouver?

Thanks smile.gif

Can someone explain the premise of WoW to me? I don't get it.... I guess I could just wikipedia it... I'm really intrigued though... seems like a cool game to be a part of.

Basically its a fantasy world with 2 sides (factions), horde and alliance. They fight against each other a lot (you'll notice the Horde vs Alliance already lol). There are races on each side, and certain classes that each can be. You team up with other people on your faction to either 1) kill the other faction or 2) PvE (player vs enemy) where you kill bosses to get better gear...the better gear the better you preform. Most people do these teams as guilds...In said guilds you have a list of all the people in your guild, you can group with them to do different stuff, talk to them either in guild, in a party (group) or in private messages. The goal no matter if you pick 1 or 2 is to be the best!!! Have the best gear, kill the most people, die the least etc. and to make friends.

Theres a lot of lore behind it too that I didnt really get into. I picked a Night Elf druid (alliance) because she was pretty and not a cow... only one race on each side can be a druid. I wanted to turn into a kitty (one of the druid abilities) and NE's also get cats as mounts....I like kitties.

haha omg that could have been me typing that. i picked druids cause i wanted a pretty one and cause i love kitties too rofl.gif

I think it's scary for the millions of Americans without insurance. For example, I just got a bill in the mail yesterday for some blood work I had done a few weeks ago. The total before insurance was $701.57 for routine blood work!! After insurance I owe $18.01. Can you imagine someone without insurance needing blood tests and having to pay over $700?! That's insane. It's really scary to think if you have a heart attack and need an emergency bypass, how many years you'll be paying off the debt without insurance.

A few months ago, when my husband was in fear of being laid off, we were both most worried about having no insurance. I think Americans have a fear of the unknown, and since they don't know or understand what Obama is trying to implement, they are automatically against it.

Are you kidding me Jill? I work in Med Lab, and we have a charging system for out of country, quebec residents, etc, and annual routine blood work generally wouldnt run anymore than 200 dollars CANADIAN...thats ridiculous. Unless you were getting a few cancer marker tests done or something, but 700 dollars?! That seems insane to me. blink.gif

I kid you not; and it is insane! It even breaks it down, for example T-3 (thyroid) cost $215.00, Cholesterol was $28.90, Vitamin D-3 cost $175.00, etc it goes down the list and the total is $701.57 wacko.gif

some foul words just came out of my mouth tongue.gif
