i have done everything humanly possible, contacted senators, congressman , received letters from them , replied them also and got emails from them that they will do something about it and i should be expecting from uscis, but its been 3 weeks since they said that and have not seen any improvement. i am still keeping calm though is very sad.

am trying to send an e request on the uscis website and it keeps saying am still within time range. i dont know what is the meaning of this. almost 8 months and the damn thing keep saying the same

@Ahmed&rannen ,

  You are very right , i am really very sad regarding this. I don't know what to do. Abezyo gave me link the senators and also to my congressman which i contacted them and also sending them a paper which allow them to ask about my petition from USCIS. But two days ago, my congressman sent me a letter through the mail box which i need to sign and send back again, which shows that they are doing something regarding it. So i just hope everything will be fine.

Hello Ahmed&raneen,

  its very painful.  mine is september 17. a day ahead of you. I have contacted my senators also and also my congressman , I must confess they the two senators wrote me back and my congressman wrote me back also and they all promised to find solution to it and i should expect something good and this is only last week, fingers crossed, i hope something good will come out of it. But to be honest, I do not know why they are doing this to us. its sad to see vermont december filer from nbc and other local offices getting approved why we are still there. Its unfair and i have cried and cried because i miss my husband and he miss me so much but i hope before middle of may, all will be well.

Thank you very much , because i won't lie, I was thinking of hiring a lawyer before to look into our case with USCIS because i was scared. though i had an argument with my husband, and he said we should leave it alone because he believes it won't affect it and he think we should keep on praying, is not that i don't beleive . I just don't want anything to delay this again as am already tired of this long waiting

to all my people here, there is one thing which is making me very sad right now. Someone told me that the bombing which took place in Boston which involves the two Russian guys will affect any petitions coming from Russia.My husband is a Nigeria but he lives legally in Russia and we are going to be applying for the CR 1 visa from Moscow. Do you think this may be a problem ?

Will do def. As soon as I hear something you guys also will hear something. Also what happened with Treva and arabianprincess? Did they get tired of reading the same ole stuff and leave? Lol I dont blame them at all!

@Abezyo

I think that is the case cos I've sent Treva three different messages with no reply, so I thought maybe she hasn't check her Visa journey maybe she is busy or she is tired of reading the same thing you have said . I am also not happy with how things are going, but coming here makes me get relaxed and to cool off the tension.Before when i see people getting approved, i always get sad but now it has become part of my life and now i'm excited for them and also excited that mine is coming closer. I know that very soon God will do everything and we all will be very happy..

About the USCIS meeting: i arrived at the office of USCIS five minutes late due to traffic. Once I made one of the female workers there aware that I had an appointment that i was late for due to traffic. She said it should not be a problem they had many late arrivals due to the time change. I was asked to wait and she would see if someone was available to assist me. She came back and asked for my appointment paper and 10 minutes later another African American woman came escorted me to a desk where she pulled up my petition using the petition number asked what was the reason for my visit. I alerted her of the date we filed and also that we have yet to hear anything regarding it's status. I asked if there was any hold up or a need for more information. She stated sternly that petitions have been on hold and are now being processed. She stated that we should wait to hear back, that our status will be updated online. She says that I can call in a couple weeks and speak with tier two again. She said that patience is paramount and that there are many who are waiting. I asked again if all of the petitioners will be interviewed and she said No, i said is she very sure , she said Yes. that some will be interviewed and some will be approve instantly depending on the person who deals with the petitions whether the file contains all what they want or but if the file did not include everything, they will have RFE and many times asked to come for interview. I also asked how many people have they invited for interviews and also approve straight forward and she was reluctant to answer but later she said we have approved many and also asked some for interviews , I now asked when should we be expecting from them, she said very soon and that i should have patience and that they are treating the case as they receive it . But the good news is that she categorically told me that they have started processing it and in a couple of weeks many will receive approvals or interview letter.
Overall it was good and its something positive and I will go back again by ending of this month or first week of April .

Well this is good news...hopefully something can be done soon! My friend has been calling the customer call center and speaking with a tier 2 and they said Atlanta has started processing August and September filers and looking at them. So maybe this is good news. I just put in a service request a few mins ago and I hope I did it right haha. I choose an option until I finally got thru lol. I have an infopass appointment Monday and I will be going up there to see if anything new has happened. Ill keep you all updated on what happens :thumbs:

@Abezyo, Oh its a good news since tier 2 already said that they are processing August and September. I can't really wait. After reading that you have put in service request, I tried to do it right now also but it says to me that am still within the time range . lol !!! though in 2 days time i will be 6 months old on this petition. I can't really wait. I can't wait till Monday when I will hear from you. So keep us updated when you get back .

Good luck with the infopass! Ask as many questions as possible and about the interviews! Also my NOA1 is August 21 and that person NOA1 was August 22...So I dont know. But find out as much as you can! And hopefully youll get better news!

@Abeyzo I will ask about the interview. and come to think of it, maybe your own will be a straight approval without interview. this may be your case. anyway i will never stop praying and am sure every one of us will be happy at the end of the day . Even if we are going to go for interview, then they should quickly send out the interview letters and for us to go for it.

I have an info pass appointment on Monday by 10.15am , i will ask questions as if i'm in the court. laughs !! @ Abezyo , your Noa1 is August 23, the moment you get an interview letter then i know things are really going fast cos i can't wait for the August filers to move fast so we September filers can start ours. I can't wait for the NOA2 to come.

Yes I hope our prayers have been answered! The guy seemed very serious about them starting to process them starting in March, and realistically its about time they do! I suggest everyone make an infopass appointment and make that visit and see them! It doesnt have to be this week but atleast find out if they are processing them if you start going the first week of March. Im planning to go back Mid March to see whats going! Lets hope for positive things Atlanta!!!!

Good work abezyo!! I had my InfoPass appointment yesterday morning with a different immigration officer than you (name wasn't Garcia, I think Johnson?) He was also really nice and genuine! When I inquired about the I-130's, he told me the same that you were told, that starting March 1 they were going to begin processing the files. He mentioned that the backlog was due to the fact NBC not only transferred all of the stand-alone I-130 cases from August but also a big stack of deferred action cases (of all sorts) that involved petitioners/applicants with residence somewhere in the Atlanta field office jurisdiction. Our I-130 cases were put on hold until the deferred cases were taken care of.

When I asked about a legitimate time frame to expect to hear back about an approval, he said that their goal was to get the whole first "stack" of I-130's done within the next 90 days. He said they were first going through all of the files in this group to assign A numbers and then would "assembly-line" them into adjudication, starting with the earliest NOA1 dates. I asked him where my file was in the line, and he not only looked up my file in the system but went to check that it was indeed where the computer said it was (I assume he did this because he left the desk and came back with a printed copy of their internal records and pointed out to me the location, bin number, etc of where my file was in the building. Thus I know that my file is on the first floor, with a bin number of 0032, whatever that means). He then told me that ALL of the I-130's on the first floor (so mine included) were in this first group of files to be adjudicated. Woohoo!! My NOA1 date was October 24, so all of you before me can be assured that you'll hear something within the next 3 months!

Like abezyo, I encourage everyone to make Infopass appointments over the next month to ensure that they are sticking to their game plan. I personally don't expect to hear back in March about an approval because I'm a good two months after most of you, but I think I'll still go back in a month's time to make sure things are going smoothly with the adjudications. It'll be music to my ears to hear about any of your approvals over the next month or two!

@Cwwils 2 Oh you have done well and am really very happy now and am sure with a little more pressure from us, all will move well. What you said about scheduling appointments is really the best thing to do,because the more the people go there to ask about it, the more they will be serious about it, but at this point in time, i think things are going very fine.I will schedule appointment for next week Friday. thanks for sharing the information with us.My Noa 1 is September 17 and I hope my petition will be in the first floor. I will be praying cos i would be glad if in the next 2 months, i can have an approval and also others can have theirs.

I don't know what to say, as our prayers have been answered. i have this believe that you will come back with a good news, at least this is good and encouraging. I think it would be better for me to schedule an info pass appointment also for me to go so that i can fill form and give them my receipt number also. lol !! though in the letters that have sent to them , have always included my receipt number. oh this is really a good news . my receipt date is September 17. you are a month ahead of me. if they can start on Friday that means before middle of April, I should be expecting something good. Oh am very happy and I hope that yours will be out by God grace before mid march and if am lucky, then i might even have mine also before march ending. Oh now is time to visit them. wow this is a good news .
