K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresKinda worried
As long as you can show you still have a income of $50,000, that you have given money to support her and can prove you have visited her three times I think you have nothing to worry about.
Your case sounds really good and I would not worry.............

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresrequired docs to take to med exam at SLEC
My wife did not yet have a appointment for a interview yet when she took her medical exam. I went online to St. Luke's website and filled out and printed the registration form and then emailed St. Luke's asking if we need to have a interview appointment prior to taking the medical. They said having a interview appointment is not necessary but just make sure you do have your interview within 3 months of taking the medical. This is what she took with her................

Passport
MNL case number
2"x2" photos
Online registration form from St. Luke's
Payment fee
X-rays that we had done prior to the medical

She will be quitting regardless at some point to be with you. Tell her to look her employer in the eye and say she will not be there on those days so get somebody to cover her shift.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedurestouch
I hadn't gotten one for two months and they have just sent me a RFE, it's updated sometimes on the USCIS website and you may not always get an email. Frustrating I know.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresEmail notifications - any problems out there??
I didn't even get a email when my status was changed, got an RFE, not what I was hoping for but at least it's not lost in space I guess. And I am signed up for notifications also.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCalling CSC RE: RFE
When I filed the packet, I filed the old form, the thing was that I filled it out in the week it was changed, the day after I submitted the packet, I saw there was a new form so I re-filled it out and sent it with a letter. My service center was Nebraska but transferred to CSC. So I'm thinking it may be the IMBRA thing and that's what I wanted to find out. Just wondering if I could call and find anything out. I just got the posting today on USCIS that they sent me an RFE.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCalling CSC RE: RFE
I'm sure many have asked this before, but I finally have a notice an RFE was sent. Is you call the CSC unhelpful service line, do they have any information on what the RFE is requesting?? Thanks for any help you can give me. This process has made me crazier than I was before I started. The unknown is unbearable.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresLength of Relationship
So what do you all think of about a 3 month courtship time until filing the petition and my being 15 years older then he is. Met on a mission trip and have many things in common, goals, plans in spite of the age difference. I have been wondering if they were going to look at it weirdly.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresJuly NOA1's and Touches this week
Finally figured out how to use this site. I got a touch on Sept 20. First I've received since I sent the petition.
The process is driving me nuts and I'm addicted to this site even though I think it makes things worse for me.
Anyway, I haven't heard a thing since I sent it.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresRFE!
Could be anything. Probably better not to worry, which is kind of hard. I just got one mailed last Monday and I received it Friday, so it doesn't take long.

Happy for you. We're like family now or something, both approved on 10/12 with no other forms of notification. Makes me feel a little stupid for checking the USCIS website every 10 minutes. LOL :D

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresApproval Received
Yeah, I'm not sure what's going on with my timeline but it's giving me error messages sometimes too. I submitted my petition June 26 but I think my CSC NOA1 is not until July 6, RFE on Sept. 29, notice for RFE received on October 4. Since then some touches but no updates. Received the copy in the mail yesterday.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresApproval Received
Today I received my petition approval by mail. On October 4 my RFE for the old form was received by CSC, I had quite a few touches since then but there is no update on the USCIS website and I didn't receive any emails since the RFE receipt. When I got home from work today, the hard copy was in the mail. The thing is that this process has been so frustrating I don't even know if I feel happy about it but I'm guess I'm that much closer to reaching the goal. Just for others who are crazy with the waiting......hope they sent out approvals for everyone on October 12!!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresThe 'system errors' at CSC are delaying som NOA2's
I just checked CSC again and still the same post with the last touch being on 10/16. Anyway, I already got the NVC number, so hoping things will keep on moving more quickly. Glad I could make someone feel better. This whole experience has been very frustrating.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresThe 'system errors' at CSC are delaying som NOA2's
As I stated in another topic, I was approved Oct. 12, received my NOA2 on October 18, emailed NVC yesterday and received a reply today that my petition had already been received by NVC and mailed to the Bolivian US embassy. I never received any emails since my RFE receipt on October 4 from USCIS and on the case view system, still says they received my RFE and my petition is pending a decision. As usual, finding a trend is impossible.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCSC Quality Service.......
Well, in my case I am reasonably sure that my petition has been forwarded to the embassy as of Oct. 25. I received a reply email from NVC with their number as well as a snail mail letter from NVC that it was forwarded. I have get to hear from the embassy there, but I will be getting a hold of them this week. Unfortunately, for the last week and a half I have been suffering from a rare allergic reaction that was potentially life threatening which made this process seem not quite as important as I had thought. Well, I am now recovering and will be back to dealing with the process. I'm hoping the two approvals don't get my case confused in the future.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCSC Quality Service.......
So, just thought I'd let people know. I was approved 10/12/06, not by email or web check at USCIS. I was told last week that my case had already been through NVC and was forwarded to the embassy. Yesterday, I was notified by email, 5 times, that my case was approved on 11/2/06 and I was sent the NOA2, again I guess they meant to say. Anyone else received anything like this?? Just wondering and glad to see CSC is as efficient as ever. :-)

PS Congrats to the newly approved.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresTwo NOA2s
The same thing happened to me. Second notice of NOA2. I have already received my NVC notice, contacted the embassy where they said they processed the application and already have the interview date, so things are still happening in spite of CSC's computer problems.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCancelling Petition
Thanks for all the concern. Time will tell on the trust issue and I have no regrets. Actually, I feel that it's his loss and I hope his choices work out for him. I've learned through many tough lessons that the future always holds something or someone new. Like I've been saying, better to know now than later.

On another note, am I clear in understanding that when his interview letter was sent, my information from the fiancee packet was not?? I was a little worried about that with my SS# and all my info on there.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCancelling Petition
I can explain what happened, I'm not feeling happy about it but I'll make it fine, I've lived through worse. After almost a year of assuring me that he wanted to come, he informed me a couple of days ago that he had a pregnant girlfriend who he's very happy with?? Funny, because a couple days before that, he was finishing his paperwork and physical for the interview that was scheduled for Dec. 6. However, in whatever the situation is, he has not been honest with me and that's really all I need to know. Being apart for a long time, anything can happen.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCancelling Petition
I just thought that I would let everyone know because I've been cruising this site for about six months that I will be withdrawing the petition. It's hard to know if someone is who you think they are when you spend almost a year apart and in this case it didn't work out. Anyone have any suggestions on how to cancel?? I might wait a little bit afterall, I had to wait since July to get to this point, the visa interview was supposed to be Dec. 6, kind of sad but better now later I think. This site is great support for this stressful journey.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresjust venting about fee increase
About the fee increases, I don't know if any of you have looked in depth into the fees but not only is the AOS I think it is over $1000 but there's a supplemental form that has to go in with it which is also $1000, so it's really more like $2010. I almost threw up when I looked at it. The positive side, the work permit and travel parole is free with the $2010 for the other forms. Someone please let me know if I'm wrong but that's how I read it.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresVisa Refused
My fiance' had his interview in Copenhagen on June 23. They refused his visa because they want more documentation relating to a diagnosis of schizophrenia made several years ago. The diagnosis was apparently incorrect -- I knew him through that whole period, and reviewing the situation a few years ago we believe it was more likely a depression brought about by some extremely stressful circumstances that was then improperly medicated -- we have evidence between his medical records and our chat logs that he did not start hallucinating until after they gave him medication, and the diagnosis was clearly made on the basis of his hallucinations. The medications he was on affected his mind such that it prevented him from putting that together until much later.

Unfortunately, he's effectively considered crazy until proven sane. Fortunately while he was visiting for six months last year he decided to see a psychiatrist here, who supervised his coming off of medication and agrees that, even if he may have possibly needed medication several years ago (he can't say because he didn't see him then), he certainly doesn't need it now and shows no signs of schizophrenia or any other potentially dangerous mental health condition.

The consulate said if he provided a letter from the psychiatrist he saw last summer, they would reconsider. We obtained the letter and submitted it to them almost 2 weeks ago. They acknowledge they got it, and we know they have contacted his other physicians. I am trying to be positive, but it's hard. His psychiatrist in Denmark doesn't speak Danish well (she's Ukrainian) and many of her notes in his record (what few there are -- six years in the system and his whole file is less than a cm thick) are nonsensical, largely due to her poor Danish. It's hard to say what she would say if contacted, and it worries me because she logically would be more interested in defending her diagnosis and treatment than admitting she may have made translation mistakes.

Anyway, I just needed to vent a bit. I'm anxious and frustrated, but I'm sure it will all be okay in the end.

Thanks for listening. :)

Hello everyone finally starting our Journey. My question is In the I-129f they ask where you live and where i live and where I get my mail are two differant towns and zip codes. also they dont have any place to put my post office box imformation. I,m in Bulgaria and we are makeing our paperwork together. thank you for any help blink.gif

You need a US address that will be reliable to send mail. Family address? They will not send mail to Bulgaria. You are aware also that you will have to prove that you can financially support your fiancee with an income in the USA, correct? (not for the petition but I am a guy that likes to think ahead a couple months at a time)

I guess I should be more specific I,m here to visit my fiance my home (house) in alaska does not get mail and I have a post office box. So how do I fill out the I-129f and show that my house has one zip code and my mail goes somewhere else

You get mail at one location - that would be your mailing address - and you live at another location which would be your home address. So what's the problem?

There is no provision for the two differant adresses in the application

It's unlikely that you'll get an RFE for that. If you do, no, there's nothing you can do until you get the RFE except make sure you have the new one DATED just in case.

Thank you for the quick response .I hope your right. our package is quite extencive I have been over there 3 times in the last 5 months and just got back 2 weeks ago. and going back on 2/11/2010 and all that information is in there. so i hope they take that into concideration
